20 women in finance you should add to your company's board

20 women in finance 2x1

Companies make all kinds of excuses to not bring women onto the team, from a broken pipeline to not wanting to "lower" their standards.

Finding women to add to a company's board is even harder since the job listings aren't posted publicly and advertised widely to attract a diverse network, says Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, CEO of Joyus and founder of theBoardlist.

"When a board seat opens, the typical process is that a CEO will turn to their few, most trusted peers for recommendations of potential board members, who in turn give recommendations of their few, most trusted peers," Singh Cassidy told Business Insider.

"Because our closest networks are usually very similar to ourselves, this process doesn't necessarily yield a lot of diversity — not only of gender or race, but educational background, functional expertise or industry. While there may be no intent to actively exclude any group, this lack of diversity in networks means that opportunities aren't exposed to a broader pool of talent."

She started theBoardlist, a LinkedIn-like network that specifically recommends highly-qualified women in tech to take seats on company boards, to abolish any excuse that there aren't highly-qualified women able to join a company's board.

Here's the list of the 20 of the top women in finance and what expertise each woman can add to a startup:

24 ways to influence even the most resistant people

Crystal ball

Seduction — persuading a person to yield to your advances — isn't used only in the pursuit of a love interest.

Influencing others is how we get jobs and promotions, win negotiations, sell products, and gain notoriety.

In "The Art of Seduction," popular author Robert Greene explores the ruthless tactics of some of history's greatest seducers, from Cleopatra to Casanova.

We've summarized Greene's 24 rules of seduction below.

SEE ALSO: 14 habits of the most likable people

1. Choose the right victim.

Your target should be someone "for whom you can fill a void," Greene says. Don't try to get the most out of those who are too eager to please you, because they are usually looking to get something in return; instead, find those who give subtle hints, like shyness in your presence, that they are open to your influence.

2. Create a false sense of security — approach indirectly.

If you want to initiate a relationship with someone who would be of value to you, you risk forcing them to raise their guard if you approach them and immediately ask for something. Before making a proposal, reach out to them via a third party, or develop a neutral or friendly relationship before making it about business.

3. Send mixed signals.

Once you've got someone hooked, give yourself an air of mystery to keep that person's interest. Don't reveal too much about your background or your intentions.

Your definitive guide to all the ads airing during the Super Bowl

audi

Super Bowl 51 is set to air on Fox on February 5 and, as usual, the big game's broadcast will be stuffed to the brim with big-money ads, reportedly costing upwards of $5 million for a 30-second slot.

Most of the brands appearing in the Super Bowl this year released their ads ahead of game day — so there will be few surprises on Sunday in the commercial breaks.

Scroll down to see what we know so far about the Super Bowl ads (we've organized all the news in alphabetical order, by brand).

84 Lumber

Construction-supply company 84 Lumber has splashed out an estimated $15 million on a 90-second ad — its debut Super Bowl spot, AdAge reported. The ad, created by Brunner, will air in the second quarter, before half-time and aims to recruit new employees.

However, the first cut of the ad has had to be scrapped after Fox rejected it for being "too political,"Campaign first reported. The creative had featured a wall blocking people looking for work in the US.

The final version seems, if anything, even more controversial. The ad appears to show a Mexican woman and her daughter on an arduous journey to find work.

A website for the ad also asks viewers to "complete the journey during halftime," suggesting that the end of the duo's journey is "too controversial for TV."

Audi

The automaker is returning to the Super Bowl for the ninth time, with an ad created by agency Venables Bell & Partners.

The ad is all about gender pay equality — but it has come under criticism from some viewers who allege Audi doesn't practice what is being advocated in the ad.

Take a look:

Avocados from Mexico

Avocados from Mexico told Business Insider in December it was coming back to the Super Bowl in 2017. It's the third year in a row the brand has advertised in the big game.

This year's ad will be focused on promoting the fact that avocados are healthy, something the company was not explicitly permitted to do so in the past due to old FDA rules.

Here's the ad itself:

8 key insights from Trump's book 'The Art of the Deal' reveal how the president thinks

donald trump art of the deal

When President Donald Trump announced his candidacy in June 2015, he proclaimed, "We need a leader that wrote 'The Art of the Deal."

Though Trump's ghostwriter, now-HR-consultant Tony Schwartz, has since renounced his ties to the president, there are clear elements of "The Art of the Deal" that Trump continues to use as talking points.

The book shows how his career as a real estate developer in the '70s and '80s created his approach to business and leadership, including why, in his campaign, he would portray his deal-making in New York City as a miniature version of how he would approach the US.

While there is still much to learn about Trump's management style as president of the United States, the highlights he chose from his early career offer some insight into his approach to making deals.

SEE ALSO: Here are the 12 business leaders Trump hosted for his first big White House meeting

His biggest influence growing up was his father.

Trump portrays his father Fred as a tough, stern figure who was difficult to get along with. The son of German immigrants, Fred created a profitable real estate collection of single-family homes in Queens and low-income housing developments in Queens and Brooklyn.

Trump joined his father's business in 1968, at age 22, and eventually forayed into the world of high-end Manhattan real estate, since, as he writes in "The Art of the Deal," he wanted to be part of a luxury market. Fred would help start his son on this journey with a loan of $1 million, and with millions of dollars more in loans in the late '70s and early '80s, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Trump suggests he was able to have a stronger relationship with his father than his four siblings did, since he and Fred had a similar "business-like" approach to life. "I was drawn to business very early, and I was never intimidated by my father, the way most people were," Trump writes. "I stood up to him, and he respected that."

He said that his father taught him the importance of efficiency and toughness, and that his mother Mary Ann, a Scottish immigrant, imparted his famous flair for the dramatic that his father lacked.

And he came to believe you should work with family whenever possible.

Trump's three oldest children — Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric — were key advisers during his presidential campaign, and Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner is an adviser in the White House. As he explains in "The Art of the Deal," Trump likes to work with family whenever possible.

In a section about working with his brother Robert on an Atlantic City deal in 1980, Trump writes, "There is nothing to compare with family if they happen to be competent, because you can trust family in a way you can never trust anyone else."

When he closed a deal in Atlantic City in 1985, he put his wife Ivana in charge of the Trump Castle casino rather than hiring a manager from outside, since he prioritized trust over casino experience.

Working with family is also beneficial when coupled with his general management approach, which is having his people report directly to him rather than go through bureaucracy.

"In our organization, anyone with a question could bring it directly to me and get an answer immediately," he writes. "That's precisely why I've been able to act so much faster than my competitors on so many deals."

He learned how to be a force in the public arena from Roy Cohn.

After graduating Wharton in 1971, Trump moved to Manhattan to begin making deals on his own, though with the financial support of his father. He writes that he got to work schmoozing his way to a membership at the exclusive Le Club. It was here in 1973 he met Roy Cohn, a man who would become a mentor.

Cohn rose to prominence in the '50s as the chief counsel of Sen. Joseph McCarthy, during McCarthy's hunt for Communists within the US. After McCarthy, Cohn developed a reputation as a ruthless attorney in New York, with clients ranging from Mob boss Tony "Fat Tony" Salerno to the New York Yankees. He was also a socialite "who could be charismatic and witty,"the Washington Post reported.

When Trump sat next to Cohn in Le Club, he told him about the Justice Department's civil rights case brought against him and his father, accusing them of violating the Fair Housing Act. He asked for Cohn's take. "My view is tell them to go to hell," Trump writes Cohn said, adding that it was on them to prove the allegations. Trump hired Cohn to fight the case and they agreed to a settlement without admitting guilt.

Trump writes that Cohn most valued toughness and loyalty, which he admired.

In addition to being his lawyer, Cohn introduced Trump to influential people across New York and Washington, D.C., including one of President Richard Nixon's strategists, Roger Stone, a man who would help him get elected president in 2016.

When the Atlanta Falcons face the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game it will be the last NFL game ever in the 25-year-old Georgia Dome.

The Falcons will move into Mercedes-Benz Stadium next season, a stunning $1.5 billion stadium with a retractable roof. It is like nothing else ever seen in the NFL and looks from the outside like a gigantic metal origami structure.

While construction is not expected to be completed until June, the Falcons released a video showing what the stadium will look like. Here are some of the features.

Here is the outside of the stadium and the area surrounding it, which includes a fan plaza, solar panels, and electric-vehicle charging stations in the parking lot.

One side of the stadium is a ground-to-roof window.

The stadium will have a retractable roof unlike any other, opening up like a flower and inspired by the Oculus in the Pantheon of ancient Rome.

Here's what everyone in the drug industry is talking about right now

Trump pharma meeting

We're only one month into 2017, and yet there have already been a bunch of headlines focused on the healthcare sector.

From the impact Donald Trump will have on the sector to increasing drug pricing (yes, that again), there has already been enough news to suggest that the industry is in for a big 2017.

To get a sense of what else to expect in the year ahead, while at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference in early January, we asked healthcare executives to identify the topics they expect to become a part of the national conversation.

Here are seven main topics they said to keep an eye out for:

SEE ALSO: We asked pharma executives the one question they didn't want to hear about drug pricing

DON'T MISS: Donald Trump just took the joy out of the drug industry's biggest investor conference

New Alzheimer's treatments

2016 was not a banner year for Alzheimer's drugs in development. There were four flops, including a key late-stage trial for solanezumab, which came out of research on the "amyloid hypothesis," or the idea that targeting beta amyloid deposits in the brain to clear them out was the way to go about treating the disease.

Right now, there are only four treatments that treat the symptoms of Alzheimer's, and on average about 99% of all drugs in clinical trials never actually make it to approval.

"We're praying for an Alzheimer's breakthrough," Opiant CEO Roger Crystal told Business Insider. Opiant is a biotech developing treatments for addiction and eating disorders.

There are a handful of key trials that are wrapping up in 2017. If any of those goes well, they could be a step in the right direction.

What Donald Trump will do with healthcare

Drug companies had largely been bracing themselves for a different election result in the US.

When President Donald Trump was elected, biotechnology stocks rose 13.3% by the end of election week, as it was thought that a Clinton victory would have been negative for the sector.

That all took a major turn in January when Trump said at a press conference that drug companies are "getting away with murder," saying that the US should start bidding on drugs to bring prices down.  Pharma CEOs met with Trump on January 31, but Trump's exact policy plan for drug pricing still appears to be up in the air

Also up in the air is Trump's plan for the Affordable Care Act, which would impact drugmakers.

Corporate tax reform

Corporate tax reform was one of the big issues healthcare CEOs brought up during the meeting with the president.

"We're going to be lowering taxes, we're going to be getting rid of regulations that are unnecessary," Trump said.

That could have a huge impact on the pharmaceutical industry. The healthcare sector has seen a number of so-called inversions, where companies merge with a foreign company and switch their tax domicile to a lower-tax jurisdiction in the process.

How to schedule day when unemployed

In the first few days of unemployment, your mind may swirl in a haze of mixed emotions.

Feelings of freedom and endless opportunities can be swiftly replaced with dread, hopelessness, and self-doubt.

Thankfully, keeping a schedule can help you find a job, a renewed purpose, and can alleviate the guilt of enjoying your free time.

This schedule may not be right for everyone, but here's a good jumping-off point for making the most out of unemployment and treating it like a job, instead of a vacation:

SEE ALSO: The 25 best jobs in America right now

DON'T MISS: 15 questions you should always ask yourself before accepting a new job

7:30 a.m. Wake up and work out

Recent research out of Belgium suggests that working out early in the morning — before you've eaten breakfast — doesn't just help you meet your fitness goals but could even give you more energy than those few extra minutes of shut-eye.

Since you're probably trying to be careful with money while you're unemployed, you might want to put your gym membership on hold and check out a free YouTube workout routine instead.

8:15 a.m. Take a shower

Since we know shower-time often becomes self-reflection time, use this cool-off period to ponder what you want to do going forward.

Deepak Chopra advises leaning into the uncertainty of life and allowing it to open new doors, while other experts suggest considering your strengths, likes and dislikes, and what kind of work environment excites you most.

8:30 a.m. Eat a healthy breakfast outside, if you can

Various research suggests eating within an hour of waking boosts your mood and mind, and exposure to natural light in the morning tells your body to stop producing melatonin, a hormone that makes you sleepy. Light is also a natural antidepressant. Try taking your morning meal outside, or at the very least near a window so you can soak up some natural rays.

Super Bowl 51

Super Bowl 51 is underway with the New England Patriots taking on the Atlanta Falcons.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Falcons forced a fumble and later scored on a Devonta Freeman run to take a 7-0 lead. Matt Ryan would later hit Austin Hooper for a 19-yard touchdown pass in the back of the end zone to make it 14-0 mid-way through the second quarter.

Things have not gone so well for the Patriots. Their first four drives included three punts, two Tom Brady sacks, and one fumble. Then, late in the second quarter, with the Patriots driving, Tom Brady threw an interception that was returned 82 yards for a touchdown and an enormous 21-0 lead.

The Patriots finally got a field goal on the final play of the first half and the score was 21-3 heading to halftime.

The Patriots needed a strong start to the second half. Instead, the two teams traded touchdowns in the third quareter. But Stephen Gostkowski missed the extra point for the Pats and it was 28-9 late in the third. A field goal mid-way through the fourth quarter made it 28-12.

Below, we will track the big plays and big scenes from the game. These are the moments everybody will be talking about on Monday.

Stars were on hand to root on hand to root on both teams, including Mark Wahlberg and Usher.

Also, 2 Chainz and Harry Connick Jr.

Prior to the game, Fox showed Tom Brady attached to a resistance band being held by a trainer. Of course, the internet had some fun with the visual of "Tom Brady going for a walk."

The 4 hidden references to the Zelda games you may have missed in Nintendo's Super Bowl ad

Nintendo Switch Super Bowl

Nintendo's first ever Super Bowl ad shows off the portability of its Nintendo Switch console, which will launch March 3.

The teen in the ad plays the Nintendo title "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and gave many viewers a first glimpse of what the game will look like.

What many viewers may not have noticed are the references to the game Nintendo hid in its ad.

The horse lamp on the boy's bed is a reference to the main Zelda character Link's steed Epona. Epona first appeared in the 1998 Nintendo 64 game "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time."

Next to the lamp is a small model of arrows, which is Link's weapon of choice.

Hanging on the teen's bed is a hat with a big Zelda logo on it, which is another obvious reference to the game series.

Nintendo has Zelda memorabilia for sale on its website, but this hat isn't listed.

When the teen grabs his Switch console from his nightstand we quickly get a glimpse at a book which was authored by Zel Dash, an obvious reference to the game.

The title of the book "It's Dangerous to go Alone" is another reference Zelda fans may have noticed. The phrase first appeared in 1986 when it was spoken by an unarmed old man who gives Zelda a sword and speaks the phrase. It has been used in all the more recent Zelda games since.

Gaming website IGN ranked the phrase as the 27th most memorable moment in video games.

The 5 best ads of Super Bowl 51

$

tide

The biggest event on the advertising calendar is over again for another year and this year's Super Bowl provided viewers with another diverse array of creativity, laughs, and bold statements.

The overarching theme from the commercial's this year's big game was brands looking to make statements about diversity and inclusion — but they weren't necessarily the best ads of Super Bowl 51.

Scroll down to see Business Insider's pick of the bunch.

5. NFL — Baby Legends

The NFL aired three spots during the Super Bowl, but the "Baby Legends" ad was the standout.

The ad showed babies dressed up as well-known football legends Marshawn Lynch, Michael Irvin,Von Miller, Vince Lombardi, Mr. Ditka, Bill Belichick, and Joe Namath. The ad ended with baby version of the Patriots' Belichick and Falcons' Devonta Freeman next to the Super Bowl trophy.

The spot served as a follow-up to last year's "Super Bowl Babies Choir" and served as a tasteful and fun piece of nostalgia for football fans watching the game.

4. It's A 10 Haircare — Four More Years

While many of the Super Bowl ads this year appeared to take a poke at President Donald Trump, this ad for a relatively-unknown haircare brand made the strongest – but most-lighthearted — reference.

"America, we are in for at least four more years of awful hair," is the narrator's opening line. The ad then goes on to state how It's A 10 Haircare wants to help all sorts of people, with all sorts of hair, have great hair.

The script is funny, the haircuts are awful, and perhaps the only criticism of the spot was that it was shot in black and white rather than color.

3. Audi — #DriveProgress

Audi made a big statement on gender pay equality with its Super Bowl ad, which depicted a dad watching his daughter taking part in a kart race and contemplating the times she might be treated differently just for being female.

When the ad was pre-released before the game, the automaker came under a heap of criticism from social media users who alleged the company was being sanctimonious and wasn't practicing what it preached — particularly because it has an all-male board and its senior management team only has two women.

However, Audi kept to its guns and responded to detractors on social media, explaining the steps the company has taken to drive equality among its staff. The car marque appeared to have turned a lot of the negativity surrounding the ad, with many first-time viewers of the ad praising it after it aired on TV.

The 5 worst ads of Super Bowl 51

t-mobile justin bieber

The price of a 30 second ad for this year's Super Bowl cost advertisers upwards of $5 million, that's $166,667 per second.

We used a subjective determination of taste and a non-scientific measurement of social media enthusiasm to rank the ads we saw during this year's big game.

These are the five worst ads from Super Bowl 51.

5. Michelob Ultra - Our Bar

The Anheuser-Busch brand decided the best way to show it's low calorie beer is healthy was by depicting people working out for nearly the whole ad. That's until the end, where instead of drinking water or some kind of sports drink, the stars of the ad choose to drink a beer. Most crossfit fans will likely say that a beer isn't their beverage of choice after a workout.

The ad, while beautifully executed, was missing a message behind it and could have just as easily been a commercial for a sneaker brand.

4. H&R Block - Future

Not even the combination of artificial intelligence and Don Draper could have made this ad the right choice to kick off the Super Bowl.

It's not that H&R Block didn't try — the brand filled its Twitter up with Gifs and jokes about accounting.

But as some Twitter users pointed out: it's still accounting.

3. American Petroleum Institute

"Oil Gushes Art" is the kind of statement that's bound to rile up anyone that has some semblance of thought for the environment. It certainly started a debate.

The problem with API's ad was one of placement. The Super Bowl is a big mainstream event, known to offer viewers emotional ads or light-hearted ads for everyday products. Whereas the API is a trade association currently lobbying Donald Trump to ease regulations on the industry. Did it really need to advertise during the big game?

Super Bowl 51 was another advertising bonanza featuring a diverse array of big name brands, trailers, and risky spots from lesser-known companies.

Thermal Bath, budapest, hungary

Achieving a healthy work-life balance is a top priority for most people. And there are some countries that promote a better culture of that than others.

A survey by InterNations, the world’s largest network for people who live and work abroad, rated 43 different aspects of life abroad on a scale of 1-7.

One of the sub-indexes looked at work-life balance.

The survey said that "although there is no direct correlation between long working hours and dissatisfaction with work-life balance."

For example, France has the second-shortest working week in the world with 41 hours on average, but it didn't feature at the top of the charts.

So it was interesting to see how those some people who worked longer hours were actually the most satisfied in their situation because they still got solid job security as well as time to have extra-curricular activities.

We took a look at the top 13:

13. Costa Rica —The survey said that expats who are adventurous or move to their dream destination (in which Costa Rica features) "have the highest levels of satisfaction when it comes to both work-life balance and working hours."

12. Germany — The country "offers expats high job security and reasonable working hours" which makes it enter near the top of the ranking.

11. Czech Republic — The country provides an abundance of jobs for expats but is ranked excellent across the board by expats for being one of the best places in the world to bring up a family, therefore creating a great work-life balance.

RANKED: The 7 smartest-spending football clubs in Europe

$

SOUTHAMPTON, ENGLAND - AUGUST 07: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg of Souhtampton in action during the pre-season friendly between Southampton and Athletic Club Bilbao at St Mary's Stadium on August 7, 2016 in Southampton, England. (Photo by Jordan Mansfield/Getty Images)

Europe's top football clubs spend fortunes but some invest far more wisely than others.

A Financial Times ranking of Europe's top-flight clubs, based on data from KPMG, found that big spending by clubs like Manchester United doesn't necessarily lead to success.

Calculated over the past four seasons, the FT's "smart spending" ranking looks at the margin by which a club exceeded its likely points tally based on the size of its wage bill relative to other clubs within the same league.

Put simply, if a club has a small wage bill and comes near the top of its league table, it has spent well.

Clubs that make the top of the list tend to have either very good scouting networks, which let them find undiscovered stars who are cheap, and/or strong academy systems, which let them develop home-grown talent rather than buy-in good players at inflated prices.

Take a look at the clubs which made the ranking:

7. Southampton — SCORE: +11 points. Southampton exceeds its projected league finish based on wage bill by a huge 11 points. The club is known for its superb academy, which has turned out players including Gareth Bale, Adam Lallana, and Theo Walcott. The club also has a great scouting network — Sadio Mane, pictured, was signed by Saints for £10 million in 2014 and sold on to Liverpool for £34 million last year.

6. Napoli — SCORE: +12 points. The Italian club's wage bill certainly isn't small, at an estimated £64 million a year. Nonetheless, they consistently rank near the top of Italy's Serie A, currently sitting in 3rd place. A major reason for the outperformance is Gonzalo Higuaín, pictured, who joined the club in 2013 for €40 million. He helping Napoli win the Copa Italia in his first season and scored 35 goals in the 2015-16 season. Higuain sealed a €90 million move to Juventus last summer.

5. Tottenham Hotspur — SCORE: +13 points. The London team, which currently sits second in the Premier League, is well-known for its strict wage structure, which restricts pay to a maximum of £100,000-a-week. The club has consistently refused to break even when it means missing out on big signings. At the same time, Spurs has benefited from academy players like Harry Kane coming into form in recent years and shrewd signings like Dele Alli, who joined Spurs from MK Dons for £5 million in 2015.

5 things parents can do to boost a child's self-confidence

kid strong confidence

When a child topples over or bickers with a friend on the playground, a parent's first instinct is often to intervene. While it may resolve the short-term issue, stepping in stunts their budding self-confidence in the long run.

It's a thin line to walk. Help them too much and they won't learn for themselves, but don't help them enough and they might get themselves into actual trouble.

Child development experts Dr. Tovah Klein and Angela Hanscom shared their advice for navigating that balancing act and raising capable, confident kids.

Build a secure relationship with them

Dr. Tovah Klein, Director of the Barnard Center for Toddler Development and author of "How Toddlers Thrive," said that unconditional parental support provides kids with a strong foundation to start from — and fall back on if need be. They feel emboldened to explore more freely because they know if something goes wrong, the parents will be there to help.

"They have the confidence to try new things because they feel like, 'Well, if it doesn't go well, I'm still going to be okay,'" said Klein.

Don't correct their mistakes

If a child is trying to fit a puzzle piece where you know it doesn't belong, resist the urge to show them where it goes. Let them have that "aha moment" of figuring things out for themselves, even if they're getting frustrated after a few failed attempts.

"What we see as mistakes they don't see as mistakes," said Klein. "For them, it's part of learning... That's where that sense of 'I can do it' comes from."

Take them outside

Angela Hanscom, a pediatric occupational therapist and author of "Balanced and Barefoot," said that taking kids outside to play comes with a host of confidence-boosting benefits.

"Outdoor play will foster confidence because the more they take risks, [the more] they're able to overcome them, which is best done outside because you're allowed to jump off things and spin in circles and have more room to move," she said. "In the meantime, you're also strengthening your muscles and improving your balance. Those things are going to improve your confidence because you're going to be stronger and more capable when you navigate your environment."

A former US military village in Heidelberg, Germany will soon get a makeover.

Following World War II in 1947,Patrick Henry Village was founded as a military base with housing, schools, shops, a library, medical clinics, and restaurants. In 2013, the US Army abandoned the area, but it hasn't been completely deserted. In 2015, a small portion of Patrick Henry Village was converted into a temporary shelter for refugees from North Africa and the Middle East.

Within the next decade, it will get an even bigger overhaul.

Design firm Carlo Ratti Associati wants to turn Patrick Henry Village into a futuristic commune that will feature shared homes, kitchens, and cars.

Carlo Ratti, the director of MIT's Senseable City Lab and founding partner of Carlo Ratti Associati, tells Business Insider that the city of Heidelberg has approved the proposal. Currently, the team is designing the 240-acre site, and construction will be complete within the next five to 10 years.

Check out the plans below.

Google Pixel

The last time we updated this list, the Google Pixel took the top spot away from the iPhone 7.

This month, we still consider the Pixel a superior phone, and we've added a surprise newcomer, which you'll find in 11th place.

To make way for the newcomer, it was time to take off the BlackBerry Passport. It's still a great, unique phone, but after three years on the market, it was time to let it go.

Here's our list of the best smartphones you can buy.

Note: Prices may vary depending on the retailer.

20. BlackBerry Classic

If you were a BlackBerry fan in the company's heyday, you're going to love the BlackBerry Classic. It looks similar to older BlackBerry models but features a sharp touch screen and an excellent physical keyboard.

Price: $319

19. BlackBerry Priv

The BlackBerry Priv is a huge departure for BlackBerry. Instead of running BlackBerry's own operating system, the Priv runs Android. While it may look like a standard Android phone, the Priv has a slide-out keyboard.

This could be a great device for those who want a physical keyboard but still want access to Google's apps and services that aren't available on other BlackBerry devices.

Price: $380

The Moto G4 is available in three models, including the $200 G4, the $250 G4 Plus, and the $150 G4 Play.
