Tech is one of the hottest industries out there.

But what companies are able to live up to the hype and keep their top talent happy?

Job site Paysa recently released a report breaking down which tech companies were able to recruit and retain the best employees from April 2016 to April 2017.

Paysa tracks employee movements with its CompanyRank machine learning technology, which analyzes nearly 7.45 million points of data including résumés, job postings, and social activity across the past 15 years from 198,000 companies.

An employer's CompanyRank score improves whenever someone joins the company from another top-ranked company and declines as employees leave and the company repopulates with talent from lower-ranked companies.

Here are the 25 companies that improved the most this year:

8 signs you're a great kisser

couple kissing

Everyone likes to think they're a good kisser, but no one really knows for sure how good their skills really are. While everyone has different preferences, there are a few traits that indicate that you are a master at the art of the smooch.

Here are some tried and true traits of good kissers.

You get rave reviews.

The first clue is also the most obvious: The best endorsement of your kissing style will be word of mouth — specifically, from the person you just kissed.

If someone, unprompted, feels the need to compliment you on a kiss, then you're probably good at smooching.

You kiss often.

If you like something, you want to do it over and over and over again.

It's safe to say that if you really are a talented kisser, people will be coming back for more if they kiss you once. If your kissing partners always seem happy to kiss you again, then rest assured that you're probably at least a little talented.

You kiss for a long time.

If your marathon make outs go for hours, chances are you're a good kisser. Good news for you: People who get more into kisses are scientifically proven to be better kissers

The life and rise of Travis Kalanick, Uber's controversial billionaire CEO

Travis Kalanick

Eight years ago, Travis Kalanick launched a startup called UberCab in San Francisco.

Now, Uber is a global behemoth and one of Silicon Valley's most successful companies — and one of the most contentious.

Uber operates in nearly 600 cities worldwide, and it's said to be worth nearly $70 billion. The 40-year-old Kalanick is now said to have a net worth of more than $6 billion.

But Uber — and Kalanick — have been caught up in one scandal after another in recent months, leading to a four-month investigation, more than 20 firings, and Kalanick now taking a leave of absence from the company.

Here's how it all began.

Maya Kosoff contributed to an earlier version of this post.

SEE ALSO: After a 4 month investigation and 20 firings, Uber releases explosive report on corporate culture

Uber CEO Travis Kalanick grew up in Northridge, California — a suburb outside Los Angeles. When he was a kid, he wanted to be a spy.

Kalanick got good grades and was athletic growing up, running track and playing football. But he was bullied by older students, and later vowed that he'd never be pushed around by anyone again.

Kalanick would eventually follow in the entrepreneurial footsteps of his mom, a retail advertiser: He went door-to-door as a teen, selling knives for Cutco. He then started his first business at 18, an SAT-prep course called New Way Academy.

The 9 brands millennials think do the most good for the world

always like a girl

Many companies say they want to do more for the world beyond making money — including work on systemic social, environmental, and economic problems.

The World Value Index, a report from brand consultancy Enso reveals, which companies millennials believe are actually making an impact.

Enso asked 3,000 consumers about the top 150 brands in the US, including Google, Girl Scouts, and the World Wildlife Fund. A portion of these participants were illennials (which Enso defines as those between 18 and 35 years old).

On a scale of 1 to 100, they rated the companies based on the following questions: "How aware are you of the brand's purpose or mission beyond making money?""Is the brand's purpose or mission something that you would openly support and care about?""And does the brand's purpose or mission motivate you to buy products or services from them?"

Here are the companies that millennials scored the highest:

GUNDLACH: Traders and speculators in the market should be raising cash right now

jeff gundlach

Jeff Gundlach, the CEO of DoubleLine Capital, on Tuesday held his quarterly "Total Return Webcast."

The big takeaways included:

  • The low volatility environment should not be seen as a "new paradigm" for the market.
  • The 10-year yield is not likely to rise to 3% this year, but could top its March high near 2.575%.
  • Traders and speculators in the stock market should be raising cash today. Long-term investors, however, should be able to weather a pullback in stocks.

Here are the highlights:

SEE ALSO: BANK OF AMERICA: There's one big difference between now and the 1999 tech bubble

What "small change" means.

It reflects the fact that markets have been treading water, Gundlach said, amid low levels of volatility in stock and bond indexes.

It also reflects the fact that some people are trying to obstruct President Donald Trump's agenda as much as possible. "Small change is what they're looking for," Gundlach said.

It's also a 1976 jazz album by Tom Waits.

"The officials in Europe continue to be drinking the Kool-Aid."

Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen is involved to a lesser extent, Gundlach said.

Here's just how low volatility is today in the context of data since 2005.

This doesn't mean that low volatility will be here forever, Gundlach said. He advised investors to diversify in stocks, but not bonds.

The weirdest events at Cannes, where the world's top marketing gurus are gathering to guzzle rose and bask on yachts

Cannes

At the Cannes advertising festival, an annual gathering of award-seeking creative superstars from the ad agency world, along with a sea of media executives, marketers and ad technology vendors, the networking can be intense and the inspiration overwhelming.

But there are moments of levity. Some would even say the festival can be a bit over the top.

We've pulled together a list of some of the most, um, let's go with ridiculous, events on the schedule of the Cannes Lions Festival next week (and one happening this week):

Virtual reality wine tasting

There seems no better way to experience the French Riviera than by blocking out the scenery with a VR headset and seeing if wine tastes different if you are looking at different fake scenery.

Though in general, the terms "virtual reality" and "Cannes" are essentially redundant.

Networking Braindating

"Once in Cannes, you'll be able to browse, contact and set up 'braindates' with other delegates via the Cannes Lions app."

These are the people you want to party with at the Gutter Bar for sure.

How Music and Football can Save Us (and your brand) hosted by the soccer-centric media company Copa90.

It's not clear that either can save us. But this panel also promises to explain how these dual passions tie into how brands now have a bigger responsibility these days to work toward social unity.

11 photos from one of Russia's biggest anti-Putin protests in years

anti-Putin protests

Russian state media downplayed Monday's anti-government protests as small, but in reality, demonstrations that took place in more than 100 Russian cities were some of the largest in years.

The protesters gathered on Russia Day — a national holiday celebrating the adoption of the Russian Federation on June 12, 1990 — to speak out against government corruption.

They were organized by Alexei Navalny, a long-time critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin and himself a presidential hopeful.

In the past, Navalny has labeled Putin "the czar of corruption,” and even accused Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of “building a corruption empire,” according to the Moscow Times. But the day did not go very well for him.

Here's what happened.

Russian TV's flagship evening news show, Vremya, claimed less than 2,000 people attended the protest in Moscow. But it appears there are more than that in just this picture alone.

"Russia without Putin" and "Russia will be free," the protesters chanted.

Riot police set up a barricade of semi-trucks in downtown Moscow to block the protesters.

16 American beach towns you need to visit in your lifetime

$

galveston texas

Summer is here and it brought scorching heat, burning sun, and sticky air with it.

In times like these, one thing is usually certain: a relaxing beach getaway is on everyone's mind (unless you prefer lakes). But if you can't swing a full-blown vacay across the ocean to lay out on one of the best beaches in the world, these domestic beach towns might do the trick.

These places are known for their great summer weather, their adorable seaside charm, and, of course, their great beaches.

Here are 16 of the most charming beach towns in the US.

Provincetown, Massachusetts

This Cape Cod hotspot earned the title of America's favorite beach town, according to Travel + Leisure readers. Each summer, the usually 3,000-person town becomes home to around 60,000 people.

Downtown's Commercial Street features tons of galleries and stores to stroll through, while beaches like Race Point Beach and Herring Cove Beach are the perfect spot to soak up some sun. For animal lovers there's whale watching, and for foodies The Canteen and The Purple Feather are must-visits.

Malibu, California

With people dropping an average of $3.95 million per home, there is no beach town that's as expensive to live in as Malibu. In the past, it's been home to celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie, but the city has more to offer than star power.

The 30-mile stretch of land features scenic beaches, like Zuma Beach and El Matador State Beach, as well as hiking trails through the Santa Monica Mountains. The city is on the Pacific Coast Highway, one of the best drives in the world, and has many notable restaurants, like celebrity go-to Nobu.

Nantucket, Massachusetts

If you're looking for a truly classic New England beach getaway, nothing comes as close as the 50-square mile island of Nantucket. Once the world's top whaling port, the town is now designated a National Historic District, and filled with cobblestone streets, charming cedar-shingled cottages, whaling captains' mansions, and a nautical charm evidenced by an abundance of decorative buoys and rope.

Of course, there are also stunning beaches, beautiful lighthouses, whale watching, and boutique shopping.

Nintendo and Microsoft are making the right moves to cut into Sony's lead in video games

Beware, Sony: The competition is closing in.

At E3, the annual video game trade show that's taking place in Los Angeles this week, the big three console makers — Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony — each touted their visions for the near-future of video games. After all three had wrapped up their press briefings, it was clear that while Sony may have a sales lead now with its PlayStation 4, its rivals are making smart moves that could help them cut into that lead.

Xbox vs Playstation

Of course, the competition has a lot of ground to make up. Sony has sold more than 60 million PlayStation 4 consoles, which is more than double the number of Xbox One machines Microsoft has sold. Sony has also left Nintendo in the dust. Though it's off to a good start, Nintendo's new Switch console has only been available for a few months, and its previous game machine, the Wii U, was a bust. And Sony's also having a lot of success getting PlayStation 4 owners to buy other things. Nearly 30 million of them are paying for PlayStation Plus, Sony's online service.

Still, things can change quickly in the games business — something Microsoft and Nintendo are counting on.

SEE ALSO: Here are all of the new games coming to the Nintendo Switch

Microsoft continues to push a narrative of Xbox as a platform, regardless of hardware.

The headline news at Microsoft's E3 event on Sunday was the unveiling of its powerful new console, the Xbox One X, which is aimed at Sony's high-end PlayStation 4 Pro.

But the company made another important announcement that was easy to overlook.

Microsoft announced it's adding backwards compatibility with the original Xbox. Soon, you'll be able to play games designed for the first Xbox on the Xbox One.

It's admittedly a small addition to the Xbox One. Owners of the console could already play Xbox 360 games on the machine.

But the move is a big step toward allowing Xbox customers to build a library of games that don't disappear each time they buy a new console.

That's something smartphone owners and people who use services like Steam have come to expect. Their digital libraries generally exist in perpetuity and are typically available on all devices that run on the same platform, be it Apple's iOS, Android or Steam. But on gaming consoles, digital libraries are a relatively new concept, and Microsoft is leading the way.

Steam

Microsoft's support for backwards compatibility stands in stark contrast to Sony. In a recent interview with Time Magazine, Jim Ryan, Sony's head of global sales and marketing, said:

"When we've dabbled with backwards compatibility, I can say it is one of those features that is much requested, but not actually used much. That, and I was at a 'Gran Turismo' event recently where they had PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games, and the PS1 and the PS2 games, they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?"

But backwards compatibility isn't the only step Microsoft is taking to combat Sony. It has a bunch of new games coming — "Metro: Exodus" looks great!  — and plenty of them are exclusive.

And then there's the Xbox One X, which will play games in ultra high-definition 4K.

The new box, which costs $500, won't replace the Xbox One. Instead, Microsoft will sell it — and the Xbox One S — alongside and as an upgraded model of the older console.

All three boxes will play Xbox One games. If you want to play games in HDR, you can get an S model. If you want games in HDR and 4K resolution, you can get an X model.

And going along with Microsoft's theme of allowing users to create a digital library they can take everywhere, you can also play Xbox games on your PC. Microsoft has made all its first-party Xbox games available on Windows 10.

So Microsoft has a flashy new console. But more importantly, it has a vision.

Nintendo delivered on promises and is listening to fans!

Nintendo came out swinging in a major way, building on the already intense hype around its new hybrid game console, the Switch.

At its presentation on Tuesday, the company continued to deliver on the promise that a steady cadence of major game releases for the Switch are coming.

Perhaps the most anticipated of those is "Super Mario Odyssey." Nintendo plans to release the ambitious game on October 26, just in time for the holiday season.

But by the time "Odyssey" launches, there'll be a half dozen major first-party Switch games that make it all the more appealing as a gift. Among them are "Splatoon 2," due out on July 31, and "Arms," which will hit store shelves on June 16.

Nintendo Switch

There's more coming. Nintendo teased a handful of new games that are on the horizon— the kinds of games that Nintendo fans are clamoring for. In the works are a new "Metroid Prime" game, games that include major characters like Yoshi and Kirby, and a new entry from the "Fire Emblem" series.

And get ready for "Pokémon" on the Switch; a major version of the game is on the way.

Overall, Nintendo convincingly showed how it intends to make the Switch a real contender.

Sony brought updates to games you've already heard of, many of which are coming out next year.

Unlike its rivals, Sony seemed to be spinning its wheels, focusing on next year and hoping to coast past this year's show.

Sony's presentation — which was essentially an hour-long video of trailers, punctuated with a few remarks from PlayStation head Shawn Layden — lacked any message beyond, "There are games coming!" That's a good message for a video game company, and I don't mean to sell it short. But when you compare it to the visions that Microsoft and Nintendo are showcasing here at E3 2017 — the biggest game show of the year — it comes up lacking.

Most of the games Sony showed won't be ready until next year. It didn't make any tentpole announcements, or show any meme-worthy videos poking fun at the competition. And it didn't announce any new features for the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation Plus.

It sounds silly, but this stuff matters in the overall narrative coming out of E3. The perception companies create at the conference can affect holiday sales season and the overall momentum of their game systems.

To be sure, Sony did offer fans some things to look forward to, showcasing a wide variety of gorgeous-looking, unique games, some of which are exclusive to the PlayStation 4. Among the highlights:

-The new "God of War" looks like it will be excellent, with compelling graphics, storyline and gameplay.

-"Days Gone" appears to be coming along nicely. A tactical open-world apocalypse survival game? Sure!

-A re-re-make of "Shadow of the Colossus," which was already terrific and looks especially cool in its latest incarnation.

-More "Horizon Zero Dawn," arguably the best game of 2017 so far! Who could say no?

-Whoa "Spider-Man"! That dude sure is limber!

Unfortunately, with the exception of the "Horizon Zero Dawn" expansion, everything I mentioned above is slated for 2018 or very late this year ("Days Gone" is planned for Dec. 29).

Sessions was questioned about an event at the Mayflower in April of 2016 where President Trump gave a pro-Russia speech. Sessions denied reports that he had a private meeting at the hotel with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

This isn't the first time the Mayflower has found itself at the center of a political scandal.

How former basketball star Dennis Rodman became one of the few Americans welcome in Kim Jong Un's North Korea

The last time Dennis Rodman visited North Korea, he delighted the country's young ruler with a rendition of "Happy Birthday," suffered an angry meltdown on CNN while defending his trip, and spent time at a rehab facility after returning to the United States in rough shape.

He probably hopes things will go more smoothly on his latest visit to North Korea, which started Tuesday. The trip extends Rodman's surprising relationship with 30-something North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who took power in 2011 but has yet to meet a more high-profile foreigner than the heavily tattooed former NBA bad boy.

Critics slammed Rodman over his past trips, saying he allowed himself to be a public relations tool for Pyongyang. He's likely to face similar accusations now: His visit comes amid international condemnation over North Korea's accelerating efforts to develop nuclear weapons and missiles, which poses one of the toughest foreign policy challenges for President Donald Trump.

Here's look at Rodman's previous visits to North Korea:

Rodman is a rare individual who can claim friendships with both Kim and Trump.

Rodman worked with Trump as a cast member on "Celebrity Apprentice" in 2009 and again in 2013.

He traveled to North Korea for the first time in February 2013 with the Harlem Globetrotters for an HBO series produced by VICE television.

Since then, Rodman has traveled to the country four times, according to his publicist.

During Rodman's first trip, he and Kim sat side by side at an exhibition game in Pyongyang.

Kim is known to be a basketball enthusiast, and he and Rodman chatted as they watched players from North Korea and the United States play on mixed teams. Rodman later addressed Kim before a crowd of thousands, telling him, "You have a friend for life," a VICE spokesman said then.

On January 20, 2017, Donald J. Trump pulled off the impossible and became the 45th President of the United States.

Much like his presidency thus far, his life and personality has been well-documented and rife with panache.

Here are a few photos that depict the President's life journey.

An original version of this post ran on June 14, Trump's 70th birthday.

Bound for the rigors of business school in the future, Donald Trump received discipline at an early age by attending a military academy. There, he reportedly excelled in extracurricular activities such as being the Honor Cadet.

11 viral diets and the ones that actually work

$

jennifer aniston

Eat like a baby. Cook like a caveman. Snack on one color of the rainbow each day of the week.

These habits belong to some of the viral diets that celebrities from Beyoncé to Taylor Swift have sworn by.

Oddly enough, some of these eating plans contain nuggets of wisdom that could help you lose weight. Still, the bigger danger with any diet is that it sets us up for unhealthy habits we can't maintain, says Andy Bellatti, a registered dietitian and the cofounder of Dietitians for Professional Integrity.

"I know many people who’ve gone on some kind of crash diet for a week and lose a bunch of weight and a few months later they’re back to square one."

With that in mind, here's the dirt on the strangest viral diets along with some science-backed wisdom about what actually works if you want to lose weight and keep it off.

The Alkaline Diet

The hype: Actresses including Jennifer Aniston, Kirsten Dunst, and Gwyneth Paltrow, have all reportedly done the pH or "Alkaline" diet, which advocates swapping so-called acid-forming foods like meat, fish, dairy, and grains with alkaline ones like fruits, nuts, beans, and vegetables.

The truth: The diet is based on the misleading idea that you can change your blood pH with food. While the pH of the stomach is acidic, the blood is slightly alkaline, something the food you eat can't change. Still, one positive part of the diet is that it advocates eating more fruits and veggies, something most dietitians agree we should all be doing.

The Master Cleanse

The hype: Beyoncé reportedly used the Master Cleanse to slim down before the movie "Dreamgirls." The cleanse involves drinking a lemon juice-based mixture to allegedly clean out the system and speed weight loss.

The truth: Any diet that's based around the idea of detoxing is probably bogus, since our bodies naturally detoxify themselves

The Paleo Diet

The hype: Singer Tim McGraw sticks to a paleo diet, a meal plan free of dairy, legumes, refined sugar, alcohol, and grains.

The truth: The US News and World Report ranks the paleo diet 36 out of 38 diets, saying that it can be tough to follow and is somewhat "nutritionally incomplete."

The best printers you can buy for your home

$

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

Insider Picks_ 3 4x3 printer

The Insider Pick:

  • A great printer can make or break your workflow, and there are plenty of options for your home office or small business. None better, however, than the Brother MFC-J985DW with its top printing quality and low running cost.

Working from home is becoming increasingly popular in this connected world we live in, but if you start working from home, you may not have access to all the tools that an office-space has to offer. Not only that, but if you have kids in school, or simply need to print every now and then, having a good printer at your disposal can be extremely helpful. Of course, there are a ton of printers out there to choose from, and not all of them are created equal.

Before you decide on a specific model of printer to go for, you should make a few decisions on the type of printer you need. Here are a few key points to consider before you make the decision to pull the trigger on a new printer.

  • Laser or inkjet: There are two main types of printers – laser and inkjet, and they’re actually pretty different. Laser printers are generally more expensive, but the trade-off is that you don’t have to worry about buying ink, and pages are printed a lot quicker. Laser printers need toner, which lasts longer than the ink used by inkjet printers. This type of printer is also best for printing documents and sometimes only prints in black and white, though many laser printers can do color, too. Inkjet printers are cheaper to buy, but ink is expensive. However, if you print photos, this is the printer you want. Inkjet printers are also easier to maintain, so most people will likely prefer them.
  • Do you want a scanner? Many printers these days also come with a scanner, meaning you can combine your printing and scanning needs into one device. Speaking from personal experience, it’s common to use the scanner after signing a document that may have been emailed to you, so it may be a good thing to have in your home office.
  • Double-sided printing: Many printers out there offer the ability to print double-sided documents, so you won’t have to worry about flipping the page over and printing again if you want dual-sided printing. This also helps cut down on the number of pages you print, which is obviously good for the environment.

Some companies also offer some extra features. For example, HP offers an ink subscription service, in which you can pay $2.99 per month and have HP automatically send new ink when it detects that your ink supply is running low.

But what’s the best printer out there? Here are the five best printers you can buy. You should also check out our guides to the best computer mice and the best Bluetooth keyboards.

Although the Brother MFC-J985DW is our top pick, for various reasons laid out in the slides below, you should also consider the HP Envy 5560, the HP LaserJet Pro M252dw, the Canon ImagePrograf PRO-1000, and the Canon Pixma iP8720.

SEE ALSO: The best computer mice you can buy

The best printer overall

Why you'll love it: The Brother MFC-J985DW has a low operating cost and can print double-sided sheets, making it our pick for the best printer you can get.

Brother may be a little less well-known than the likes of HP and Epson, but it makes great printers, and the Brother MFC-J985DW is the best all-around printer you can get right now.

There are plenty of things that make this a great printer. For starters, the ink cartridges are super high-capacity, but they aren't much more expensive than competitors' ink cartridges. Long story short, you get more ink for less and it lasts longer. In fact, a single black ink cartridge will set you back a mere $23.99 and print a whopping 2,400 pages on average. That’s not bad at all.

On top of that, while the printer works excellently with your computer over a home network, it’ll also connect easily with a USB, if a wired solution is more up your alley. The printer can even make a direct connection with compatible devices like your smartphone using Wi-Fi Direct or NFC. It also has a scanner, and scans can be sent to compatible devices like your computer.

The printer isn’t perfect, though it is pretty great. It’s better suited to home offices and smaller offices because of its smaller size and slower printing rate of 4.6 pages per minute, according to PCMag’s tests. It also has a somewhat low paper capacity, so if you print a lot, you’ll have to reload the paper tray a little more often than you might like. Still, the fact that it prints double-sided sheets will help cut down on the paper usage.

In general, the Brother MFC-J985DW is an excellent printer for all smaller applications – and many reviewers agree. PCMag gave the printer 4/5, while Tom’s Guide gave it an equal 8/10

Pros: Prints double-sided sheets, lot’s of connectivity options, low operating cost

Cons: Lower paper capacity, slower printing speed compared to more industrial printers

Buy the Brother MFC-J985DW on Amazon for $169.99 (originally $199.99)

The best printer on a budget

Why you'll love it: The HP Envy 5660 features excellent connectivity options and cloud printing, but the best part is that it costs less than $100 when it's on sale.

HP has been adopting new tech trends in its printer lineup of late, and surprisingly, those printers tend to be pretty inexpensive. Our favorite affordable one in the lineup is the HP Envy 5660.

It's best suited for a small office or home use, though it allows for both a wired USB connection and a wireless connection to a Wi-Fi network. You’ll also be able to print from the cloud by creating a custom email address for the printer, so that the device will print any documents you email to it.

The 125-sheet paper tray in the printer isn’t amazingly big, but the duplexer in the printer, which allows for double-sided printing, is a welcome extra — especially for a printer in this price range. The Envy 5660 also has a built-in scanner, so you won’t need to buy a scanner separately, which is good news for any home office.

Some of the more interesting features include the ability to print through the cloud, as well as HP’s ink subscription service, which costs $2.99 per month and guarantees that HP will send you ink whenever it detects your printer is about to run out, so you're not screwed when it does.

There are a few things to consider before pulling the trigger on this $70 printer. For starters, it doesn’t print all that quickly, and there’s no Ethernet port, so it’ll need to connect to the internet through a Wi-Fi network. It also doesn’t support faxes, though most people shouldn’t need the ability to fax anyway. Regardless, it's a steal at this price.

Pros: Cloud connectivity, ink subscription service, duplexer for double-sided printing, inexpensive

Cons: Somewhat slow, no Ethernet port

Buy the HP Envy 5660 on Amazon for $52.56 (price varies — originally $149.99)

The best laser printer

Why you'll love it: If you’re looking for a laser printer, the HP LaserJet Pro M252dw is the best option, thanks to its high printing speed and built-in duplexer.

HP doesn’t just offer great inkjet printers — it boasts a great selection of laser printers, too. One of its best laser printers, at least from a home office perspective, is the LaserJet Pro M252dw.

It's one of the few laser printers to offer color printing. It still prints relatively quickly and outputs quite high-quality images. When it comes to connectivity, the printer boasts a USB, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connection, as well as the ability to print through the cloud.

The LaserJet Pro M252dw also has a high-quality touchscreen, making it easier than ever to interact with the device. Finally, it sports a built-in duplexer, so it can print double-sided sheets. There are plenty of great features, and the only real downside is the somewhat low paper capacity of 150 pages.

Still, many reviewers agree that it’s among the best laser printers for home and small office use. PCMag rated it a hefty 4/5, while Trusted Reviews awarded it 9/10. Not bad ratings at all.

Pros: High-quality prints, good connectivity options, built-in duplexer

Cons: Low paper capacity

Buy the HP LaserJet Pro M252dw on Amazon for $189.00

13 of the biggest product flops featured in Sweden's new 'Museum of Failure'

trump the game

Don't let the name fool you — Samuel West's "Museum of Failure" is an act of celebration.

On June 7, West, a collector and self-described innovation researcher, debuted 51 failed products in a museum exhibition in the Swedish city of Helsingborg, all in the name of honoring the creative process.

Visitors will get reacquainted with familiar names like Betamax and Blockbuster, and perhaps meet lesser-known flops — Twitter Peek, anyone? — all of which West has been collecting for the past year.

"Even the biggest baddest most competent companies fail," West tells Business Insider. "The trick is to create an organizational culture that accepts failure so that you can fail small ... rather than failing big."

Here's a taste of the products that are getting a second life on display.

West says it's been difficult trying to secure the items in his collection, given they're all discontinued. The project is a labor of love.

Many of the products lasted only a few years. The smartphone and gaming device Nokia N-Gage, for instance, was on sale from 2003 to 2005.

Nokia released the device as a challenger to the Nintendo Game Boy, but critics quickly took issue with its odd design and button layout.

Nokia tried to upgrade with the redesigned N-Gage QD in 2004, but ultimately sold only a few million units before discontinuing the device altogether.

Even further back was the Apple Newton, which ran for a bit longer between 1993 and 1998. The poor handwriting software and high cost contributed to its demise.

The Newton first retailed for $699. Adjusting for inflation, the device would cost $1,178 today.

Hospitals made brief use of it in the mid-1990s, but ultimately Apple struggled to capture market share from the Palm Pilot — another digital assistant of the time.

The one saving grace: Steve Jobs later retooled Apple's approach to personal computing to create the iPhone and iPad.

It's easy to be distracted by a high market capitalization.

Companies that have worked their way to the top of their fields must have made some right moves along the way.

But past returns are not necessarily indicators of future performance, and the stocks on the following list might be perfect examples of that.

Credit Suisse put together a list of the large-cap stocks that hedge funds are dropping. These are stocks that, in many cases, a lot of funds still own, but that saw a big fall in the number of funds investing in them during the first quarter of this year.

A large number of hedge funds selling a stock could be an indicator of a not-so-bright future for the company. Read through the list below.

A company that wants to balloon travelers into the stratosphere is launching a KFC chicken 'space sandwich' (YUM)

A company called World View is about to launch fried chicken inside a space capsule.

The publicity stunt, scheduled for June 21, is being bankrolled by KFC to promote its spicy Zinger chicken sandwich.

The chicken will launch from Tucson, Arizona, attached to the end of a high-altitude balloon. Although the fast food brand claims this will be a "space sandwich," they'll miss that mark. The edge of space is about 62 miles above the ground, whereas World View's Stratollite — a new craft designed to fly small payloads into Earth's stratosphere — will loft the sandwich about 15 miles up.

"Stratollites can carry a wide variety of commercial payloads (sensors, telescopes, communications arrays, etc.), launch rapidly on demand, and safely return payloads back to Earth after mission completion," World View said in a press release.

Stratollites are an initial step in World View's larger goal to launch paying customers more than 19 miles above the Earth.

As a passenger inside the company's pressurized Voyager craft, which will dangle at the end of a balloon, you'd be able to see the curvature of Earth. The roughly five-hour trip would also include cocktails and stunning views of the stars, though it might set you back more than $75,000 — about the price of a new Tesla Model X 70D.

Here's a peek at what it'll be like to float at an altitude of 100,000 feet, above 99% of Earth's atmosphere.

KFC's spicy Zinger chicken sandwich capsule will be launched inside one of these: World View's lightweight Stratollite craft.

The Stratollite is designed to "sail" on high-altitude winds for up to 12 hours, though KFC's flight will last four days.

But World View has bigger plans than launching food. They hope to fly paying customer inside the Voyager: a Winnebago-sized capsule that's big enough for six passengers and two crew members.

The surprisingly normal diet Gal Gadot ate to become Wonder Woman

$

gal gadot wonder womanThe INSIDER Summary

  • Gal Gadot's diet for "Wonder Woman" wasn't as crazy as we'd all thought.
  • Along with a daily fitness routine, Gadot's diet was something us regular humans could keep up with.
  • Staples included veggies, salmon, and even some guilty pleasures like burgers every now and then.
  • The key takeaway from Gadot however, is to maintain balance and enjoy food.

It's common knowledge that Gal Gadot is a badass b—h. Before starring as the first female lead superhero in "Wonder Woman,"Gadot served in the Israeli army and modeled for Gucci. It also recently came out that Gadot was actually five months pregnant during the shooting of "Wonder Woman,"and she still did all her own stunts (like, what?).

With all of her accomplishments, I figured this woman has to have a diet that helps keep her energy up, her muscles strong and her mind focused. I was curious to find out if Gadot's diet was as unrealistic as I feared, or if Wonder Woman was actually just like us.

Surprisingly, her diet is actually pretty attainable. And because Gadot obviously included some fitness into her daily routine, I am also going to highlight her workout regime. Without further adieu, here is how to eat like Wonder Woman.

Gadot starts the day with a protein-rich breakfasteggs with some fruit and coffee on the side. Thankfully, this meal is pretty easy to recreate without breaking the bank.

Entreés

Now we're talkin' lean proteins and greens. Gadot loves to prepare fish with garlic, lemon, and thyme for a casual night in, and in her Marie Claire cover shoot, she was spotted eating a grilled chicken breast with chickpea cakes on the side.

In addition, her trainer, Mark Twight, focuses heavily on 50/50 protein and veggie plates. You're gonna get that lean protein, but also the vitamins and minerals that you need.

Snacks

Wonder Woman recognizes the importance of balanced eating during snacks, so she fills up between meals on fruits and veggies like bell peppers, celery, cherry tomatoes, and avocado toast. This girl loves veggies in general — she tries to "make sure that around 30-40 percent of ... her diet is made of cooked or raw vegetables." Snacking colorfully, people.
