Why critics say 'Transformers: The Last Knight' is '2017's most toxic movie'

Transformers The Last Knight 2 Paramount final

"Transformers: The Last Knight," the fifth movie in Michael Bay's already critically maligned franchise, is out this week, and the reviews aren't looking good.

The movie has a 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and critics are having a field day with their creatively harsh criticisms of what might be the worst movie in the franchise and one of the worst movies of the year.

Critics agree that the story is hard to follow, and it's just not as much fun as the previous films, and some critics suggest that this is likely because Michael Bay just doesn't particularly care anymore.

Here are some of the things critics are saying about "Transformers: The Last Knight":

SEE ALSO: The 10 biggest box-office bombs of 2017 so far

The story is so complex that it’s impossible to explain or comprehend.

"I am not going to try to explain the story — after watching this movie I may never try to explain another story ever again."—Observer

"A movie that is at once loud yet incoherent, complex yet idiotic, and expensive yet worthless."—Star-Telegram

"Either this movie is dumb or I am."—ScreenCrush

It makes other bad movies look good.

"2017's Most Toxic Movie" Rolling Stone

"Every time Michael Bay directs another Transformers abomination (this is the fifth), the movies die a little. This one makes the summer's other blockbuster misfires look like masterpieces."—Rolling Stone

It feels like Michael Bay no longer cares if the movies in this franchise are any good.

"Perhaps the most dispiriting thing about this entry in this already-quite-dispiriting franchise is that Bay does not particularly seem to care one way or another this time."—Paste

"Michael Bay is back with another mammoth budget to throw at the screen in the latest Transformers monstrosity."—The Independent

CycleBoard Horizontal 4

Seeing an adult on a scooter or skateboard isn't as rare of a sighting as it used to be.

That's because scooters and boards are easy last-mile solutions: they're light, relatively inexpensive, and don't take up a ton of space.

There's really no reason to not go electric, either. Today's options are environmentally friendly without compromising on speed. They also don't require as much maintenance as gas-powered scooters.

Here are 9 electric transit options that will change your commute:

SEE ALSO: A startup backed by Tesla's cofounders has big plans for its battery tech

CycleBoard

The electric scooter has an interesting look with two wheels in the front and one in the back. The design allows it to stand up so you don't need to prop it against a wall when you leave it behind like other scooters. It can also improve stability when riding.

The scooter can reach a top speed of 20 mph and has a range between 15 miles and 25 miles depending on what battery option you choose. Charging ranges between 3 hours and 4.5 hours, again depending on battery size. The Cycleboard weighs 44 pounds and even comes with cruise control, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Cycleboard had a very successful Kickstarter campaign, raising over $147,000 out of its $70,000 goal. You can now buy the scooter dirIectly on the Cycleboard website. It ranges between $1,300 and $1,700 depending on the type you get.

URB-E

The URB-E stands out as a foldable electric scooter. That way, you can save space when storing it indoors or transport it easier on a bus or train. The scooter weighs 30 pounds and is easy to pick up and carry. It even comes with a USB port and a little basket.

There are four different URB-E trims that offer a range of 16 miles and 20 miles. The scooter can reach up to 18 mph, depending on the type you get. You can order a scooter, which starts at $900, on the URB-E website.

Uscooter

The Uscooter combines a few of the more appealing qualities offered by the CycleBoard and URB-E. It can stand upright, like the CycleBoard, and fold up, like the URB-E. It's also one of the lighter options on the list at just under 24 pounds and can reach a top speed of 18 mph.

The scooter had its first successful run in China five years ago under the name E-Twow, Wired reported. Now it's available in the US and you can buy it on the Uscooter website for $999.

The new "Assassin's Creed" game looks like the best entry in years.

Assassin's Creed Origins

It's called "Assassin's Creed Origins," and it's set during one of history's most fascinating periods: Ptolemaic Egypt. That's the era when Egypt's millennia-spanning empire began to fall, while Rome — led by Julius Caesar — conquered more and more of Western civilization.

It's also, according to "Assassin's Creed Origins," the period when the "Assassin's Brotherhood" was conceived. That alternative history is what you'll play when the game arrives this October. Here's what we know so far!

The best carry-on bags you can buy

$

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

IP_Luggae_Buying_Guide_With_Badge_4x3

The Insider Pick:

  • Sometimes you just don't want to check your luggage, so you need a reliable carry-on bag that you can bring onboard the plane. Of all the carry-on bags we've researched, the Briggs & Riley Baseline Commuter Expandable Upright is the best of the bunch with its sturdy wheels, smart compression technology, and lifetime warranty.

As the popularity of air travel has increased, the associated sense of luxury and ease has decreased. Even though overhead bins are shrinking and regulations are tightening, travelers still want to be able to love their gear. You need to be able to rely on your luggage no matter where your travels take you and feel secure that your carry-on is going to fit in the compartment without starting an international incident or a viral video scandal.

Many airlines these days have their own unique regulations for carry-on luggage size, but we searched the web for the best options that should get you where you’re going without a headache. In addition to size, we also took into consideration, weight, mobility, internal and external packing features, price, and more to come up with a list of the best carry-on luggage options available.

There are lots of different reasons people fly these days, and as many ways to approach perfect packing as there ways to approach travel more generally. If you’re a business traveler with a laptop and other tech devices in your carry-on, you may be looking for features that make passing security checkpoints a little smoother. If you’re tired of your suitcase’s wheels spinning the wrong way or tripping up en route, it’s time to upgrade with some eight-wheeled magnetic technology. Or if you’re looking to skip the wheels completely, we’ve got an elegant option for the backpacker in you.

No matter your needs, we've got the carry-on luggage for you in our guide. If you travel a lot, you'll also want to check out our many travel pieces including the things we won't travel without, our favorite travel bags, the things we always pack when we travel, 10 must-have travel tech accessories, and more recommendations on Insider Picks.

Although the Briggs & Riley Baseline Commuter Expandable Upright is our top pick, for various reasons laid out in the slides below, you should also consider the Travelpro Platinum Magna Express Spinner Suiter, the Incase EO Travel Hardshell Roller, the Timbuk2 Co-Pilot Luggage Roller, the Patagonia Headway MLC 45L, the Delsey Chalet Wheel Spinner Carry On, and the American Tourister Ilite Max Softside Spinner 21.

The best carry-on bag overall

Why you'll love it: The Briggs & Riley Baseline Commuter Expandable Upright bag expands and compresses so you can pack in more than meets the eye, and mesh garment panels keep your clothes fresh for arrival.

The Briggs & Riley Baseline Commuter Expandable Upright looks like an ordinary carry-on bag from the outside, but it’s really the internal components that make it our number one choice. Briggs & Riley’s compression and expansion technology allows you to expand the bag while packing so you can cram in that extra pair of shoes, and then compresses everything inside back to normal size once you’ve zippered the bag closed. The interior is lined with mesh garment panels that strap down to hold clothes in place without shifting or wrinkling.

Because the bag uses an outsider handle system that tucks the rails on the bag’s exterior, there aren’t any awkward or uneven ridges at the bottom of the bag. Pack everything flat and make better, more efficient use of the space when you’re packing for a longer trip or for multiple climates. With ballistic nylon as the bag’s outer material, there’s room for a little give without being vulnerable to the dents and nicks of frequent travel.

Since some airlines enforce smaller dimensions for acceptable carry-on luggage, this Commuter option is smaller than others in the Briggs & Riley line of products at 25 x 8 x 11 inches, not to mention oversized carry-on bags from other companies. The best offering that comes with the Briggs & Riley Baseline Commuter Expandable Upright is its lifetime warranty, which is a no-questions-asked policy and even covers airline damage.

Pros: Once you’ve packed in 33 percent more of your clothes, internal mesh garment panels make sure you’ll arrive at your destination wrinkle-free

Cons: Even with the lifetime warranty to back up the purchase, this bag does cost more than $400 which will certainly be too steep a price for some

Buy the Briggs & Riley Baseline Commuter Expandable Upright Bag on Amazon for $449.00

The best carry-on bag for when you're in a rush

Why you'll love it: The Travelpro Platinum Magna Express Spinner Suiter solves all those pesky directional problems with four dual wheels and magnets that align them no matter which way you’re going.

When Rollabords were popularized with just two wheels on bags that you needed to tip to pull behind you, mobility may have been limited, but at least it was straight forward. Travelpro's Platinum Magna Express Spinner Suiter carry-on bag with four wheels allows you to push and pull your bag in any direction without tipping it behind you.

The company’s own “MagnaTrac” technology uses a system of magnets to keep all four of the suitcase’s dual wheels tracking in the same direction and rolling in a straight line. Although MagnaTrac is really the standout feature of this Travelpro bag, there are plenty of other reasons it’s a great carry-on option.

The bag itself is lightweight and features plenty of zippered mesh compartments on the inside for smaller accessories, dirty laundry, or even wet bathing suits. It comes with a full suiter for wrinkle-free packing, and Travelpro’s separate garment bag is praised widely by business travelers.

A contoured handle is designed to be more ergonomic and easy on the arm and shoulder, and it stops at three different heights for easy navigation. The expandable main compartment adds another two inches to the bag’s interior if you’re planning to do some shopping while abroad.

The bag measures 21 x 14 x 9 inches, which should suit most but not all airline regulations for carry-ons these days. A ballistic nylon exterior protects the suitcase from wear and tear, and the bag is covered by Travelpro’s standard worry-free warranty.

Pros: Magnets align all four dual wheels to roll in the same direction, so no more topsy-turvy paths down the airport hallways with this one

Cons: Limited color options for more style-focused travelers and carry-on dimensions may be too big for certain airlines

Buy the Travelpro Platinum Magna 2 21 Inch Express Spinner Suiter on Amazon for $191.24 (olive) or $254.99 (black) (originally $600.00)

The best carry-on for travelers with a laptop

Why you'll love it: For business travelers or anyone flying with a laptop, the Incase Eo Travel Hardshell Roller makes passing security checkpoints a breeze with its easy to access briefcase section.

The polycarbonate exterior of the Incase Eo Travel Hardshell Roller does more than protect whatever is packed inside your bag. It’s also an easy-to-access laptop sleeve that allows you to pass through TSA checkpoints without using separate plastic bins for your tech gadgets and devices. Just unzip the polycarbonate sleeve layer, lay it in the bin that goes through the x-ray belt, and TSA has access to everything they need and nothing they don’t.

Along with the large laptop sleeve and one designed for tablets, the easy-access tech section of the Eo Travel Hardshell Roller features a bunch of small accessories pockets to keep track of business tools like charging cords, adapters, and even file folders, notebooks, and pens.

Only one of the suitcase’s internal sides has a hard molded structure, so the cotton and polyester blend fabric allows for a little extra give while you’re cramming your belongings into your carry-on. The main compartment does expand if you need a checked luggage option on one leg of your trip or both.

While we’ve been singing the praises of four-wheeled (and eight-wheeled) roller carry-ons so far, there are also plenty of reasons to love a two-wheeled carry-on instead. Personally, I know I’m a little uncomfortable with the idea of rolling my perfectly upright bag alongside me like I’m walking a dog — but that’s only because I’ve traveled with my two-wheel roller for as long as I can remember.

If you’re a two-wheel loving business traveler, the Incase Eo Travel Hardshell Roller is a great option. And at 8.7 x 20.7 x 13.8 inches, it fits in with most airlines’ carry-on dimensions rules.

Pros: Easily accessible laptop sleeve to ease up on the hassle of security checkpoints, and two-wheeled rolling system, if you’re into that

Cons: Hardshell polycarbonate material scratches easily, and two-wheeled rolling system, if you’re not into that

Buy the Incase Eo Travel Hardshell Roller on Amazon for $297.98

Yellowstone grizzlies are losing endangered species protection — here's why they're still not safe from extinction

Grizzly bear cubs

The Interior Department plans to remove the federal protections that the Yellowstone grizzly bear has had under the Endangered Species Act for the last 42 years, officials announced on June 22.

In 1975, there were as few as 136 Yellowstone grizzly bears; there are now approximately 700.

"As a kid who grew up in Montana, I can tell you that this is a long time coming and very good news for many communities and advocates in the Yellowstone region," Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said in a statement. "This achievement stands as one of America's great conservation successes; the culmination of decades of hard work and dedication on the part of the state, tribal, federal and private partners. As a Montanan, I'm proud of what we’ve achieved together."

The main question here is who administers the bear populations. Delisting the grizzly means that states will manage populations and can allow hunting of the bears when they venture outside the National Park. The federal government spent about $1.7 billion on protecting the more than 2,000 species covered by the act in 2012.

Conservation groups say the population recovery is impressive but that there are still major concerns about the decision. Bear populations are still only at 1% to 2% of what they used to be.

SEE ALSO: The tick that makes people allergic to red meat with one bite seems to be spreading

The Interior Department said they will publish the rule removing Yellowstone grizzly protections in the coming days. It will take effect 30 days after publication.

In the 1800s there were approximately 50,000 grizzlies in the lower 48 states but by the late 20th century, populations had plummeted, decimated by habitat loss and hunting.

Source: NPR

Grizzlies were one of the first species protected under the Endangered Species Act. The protections prevent states from allowing hunting since federal officials are in charge and they put limits on how nuisance bears are dealt with.

We tried Amazon's line of men's work clothing to see if it's worth the money— here's the verdict

Prime Wardrobe Amazon

Amazon has introduced its own clothing brands in recent years.

Some of the clothing is Amazon-branded — Amazon Essentials — but most of it is sold under private labels.

For men, those labels are Goodthreads and Buttoned Down. Both are available only to Amazon Prime subscribers.

Amazon still isn't as well known for selling pants and shirts as it is for selling batteries and Bluetooth speakers.

We tried Amazon's clothing to see if it's worth the money.

SEE ALSO: Amazon just solved the greatest uncertainty of buying clothes online

Each piece of clothing came in its own plastic bag.

Typical for clothing ordered online, but Amazon's pieces seemed to have been sitting for longer than normal, creating deep creases that were impossible to smooth out without an iron.

That makes it necessary for the clothes to be either washed or ironed before wearing. Common sense for some, but for others it may be an unexpected hassle if you need to wear the shirt immediately.

We tested four different shirts.

And three different pairs of pants.

It would be a mistake to call Amazon's private labels "fashion brands." They're mostly just functional clothing, with absolutely zero frills. It's clothing created for people who don't care that much about clothing, but still want to look neat, nice, and put together. I'd wager that's a good number of people.

The styles aren't boring, but they're not exactly adventurous either. It feels like they were created in a lab somewhere to appeal to the broadest swath of men possible.

It's clear the Amazon is chasing the crowd that usually shops at mall stores. "If you like J. Crew or Banana Republic oxford shirts, check out Goodthreads’ selection of effortlessly stylish oxfords," one caption reads for the Goodthreads Oxford shirt.

We weren't able to test any of the clothing in the long-run, but generally all of it felt solidly made with decent fabrics for the price. Quality was comparable to a mall outlet store, with a slight edge in fabrics used.

12 unhealthy foods that doctors avoid

$

bowl of cereal

You've heard this hundreds of times before, but it's still true and it's still important: The foods you eat on a daily basis will make a big difference in your future. Eating well not only helps you maintain a healthy weight — it can also help you stave off a number of chronic conditions, like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

Knowing what foods to eat (hint: lots of plants!) is crucial. Knowing what foods to avoid matters, too.

So INSIDER interviewed Tom Rifai, MD, FACP, and Mark Liponis, MD  two doctors who specialize in using lifestyle habits to prevent and treat chronic disease  to ask about what foods they avoid in their own lives. They're not saying they never eat the foods on this list (because what's life without a little pizza now and again?), but they have curbed their intake of certain foods in the name of long-term wellness.

Here's what they had to say:

SEE ALSO: A new show features ‘Biggest Loser’ winners who regained weight — and reveals a deeper truth about weight loss

DON'T MISS: 13 diet 'truths' that are doing more harm than good

1. Red meat

Rifai, regional medical director of Metabolic Health and Weight Management at the Henry Ford Health System and member of the True Health Initiative, told INSIDER that he grew up eating quarter pounders and Triple Whoppers — but times have changed. "Red meat is not something I totally avoid, but I have dramatically cut it down," he said.

Red meat is packed with protein, but it's also rich in saturated fat — the kind that raises "bad" LDL cholesterol. And research shows that habitually eating red meat can increase the chance of dying from heart disease.

Liponis, the chief medical officer at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachusetts and author of "Ultralongevity," added that red meat has negative environmental impacts, too.

"The energy required to turn grass into meat is a high cost for our globe," he said.

2. Processed meats

Both Rifai and Liponis said they avoid processed meats like hot dogs, bologna, sausage, and bacon.

For one, they tend to contain lots of saturated fat and sodium. (Eating too much of the latter, of course, can make your blood pressure creep higher and higher.) But they also have scary implications for your health.

"I stay away from processed meats but mainly because of their link with cancer," Liponis said. "They've been linked with more bowel cancers and maybe bladder cancers."

3. Refined grains

"Refined grains are something I really try to limit," Rifai said. "[But] we live in amber waves of refined grains, so it's hard to totally avoid."

This category includes white bread, white rice, anything made with white flour (cake, pastries, cookies), pasta, breakfast cereals — stuff that floods almost every aisle of the grocery store. The problem is that process of refining grains removes much of their fiber and nutritional value.

You're better off eating whole grains: Research shows diets high in whole grains (rather than refined ones) lower "bad" cholesterol and may slash diabetes risk.

13 signs your coworkers think you're dumb

Mean Girls Karen

In the 2004 cult hit "Mean Girls," Plastics member Karen Smith is frequently demeaned for her lack of intelligence.

It's funny in the film, but nobody wants to be treated this way in real life — especially at work.

In most instances, if you feel like you've been assigned the role of the resident office fool, there's probably a simple explanation.

  1. You're behaving in a way that makes people think you're stupid.
  2. Your coworkers are jerks.
  3. Both of the above.

Before you can begin to figure out what the issue even is, you first must determine whether or not your colleagues are actually behaving in a condescending manner.

Here are some clear signs that your colleagues do think you're dumb:

SEE ALSO: 17 signs your coworkers secretly hate you

1. They always argue with you

Some people just love to pick fights. But, if you feel like you're constantly getting piled on by multiple coworkers over minor things, then that's a bad sign. They might be squabbling because they see you as an easy target — someone they can put down to prove their own intelligence.

However, keep in mind that it's important to differentiate between rude, mean, and bullying behavior — aggressive arguments should only be considered truly problematic if they're repeated over time and involves an imbalance of power, Signe Whitson wrote for Psychology Today.

2. They're terse and sarcastic

Don't you hate getting texts that just say "k"? The conversational equivalent of that may be a sign that your colleagues underestimate your intelligence.

If their responses tend to be short and blunt with a side of sarcasm, then they probably don't value your insight very much.

3. Their body language is rude

Sneering. Glaring. Staring. Smirking. Eye rolling.

If you notice this contemptuous body language in your coworkers, then that pretty much confirms that you're the target of workplace mockery.

7 crazy photos of US Marines in Syria shelling ISIS with artillery

US Marines Syria

As US-backed Syrian Defense Forces clear ground around Raqqa, recently liberating roughly 386 square miles from Islamic State control, a Marine artillery battery is hard at work, shelling the ever-living crap of out of ISIS.

On June 21, the Corps released several images showing arty Marines dropping rounds around the clock.

In May, the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit returned to the states after the unit’s artillery battery fired 4,500 rounds at ISIS in support of Kurdish and Syrian Arab Forces isolating Raqqa, the Islamic State’s de facto capital in Syria. The mission of the 11th MEU was handed over to another Marine unit in last month, presumably the 24th MEU, according to reporting by Marine Corps Times’ Jeff Schogol.

The recently released Marine Corps photos were taken by Sgt. Matthew Callahan, who is assigned to the 24th MEU, and they show just what arty “support” entails.

It means lobbing a ton of rounds from red-hot barrels of M777-A2 howitzers.

Check them out:

After setting up their guns on May 14, the Marines got to work.

On May 15, Marines fired M777-A2 howitzers in northern Syria in support of coalition partners there.

Though artillery positions provide support from a distance, their positions are often forward and isolated, requiring Marines to dig in and fortify the gun pits.

The best memory foam pillows you can buy

$

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

Sleep

The Insider Pick:

  • Sleep is important, and pillows are one of the key ingredients for getting a good night's rest. There are a ton of memory foam pillows out there, but the Coop Home Goods memory foam pillow is the best one you can buy because it suits all sleepers and adjusts to fit your needs.

When you think of upgrading your bed, you probably think about getting a new mattress or maybe a new sheet set. The humble pillow, however, plays a seriously important role in getting a good night's sleep. Having a good pillow can be the difference between waking up unable to move your head, and waking up feeling refreshed and ready for the day.

Of course, there are plenty of pillows to choose from. We've already highlighted the best pillows overall, but these days, many people prefer to go for a memory foam pillow over any other kind of pillow — and for good reason. Memory foam pillows are better at contouring to your specific needs and keeping your spine aligned, which is much better for your neck in the long run.

There are, however, a number of things to consider before you pull the trigger on a memory foam pillow. For starters, you’ll want to think about the position that you most often sleep in – on your back, your side, your stomach, or all three. Your sleeping position will help inform the thickness and shape of the memory foam pillow that’s best for you.

You’ll also want to think about the type of memory foam that you want to have inside your pillow. Options include a slab of memory foam contoured to your head and neck or shredded memory foam that will adapt to whatever you need it to feel like.

If you're outfitting your new home or apartment, check out more of our great buying guides like the best bar stools, the best light bulbs, the best coffee tables, the best area rugs, the best mattress toppersthe best sheetsthe best mattresses, thebest pillows, the best clothes hangers, the best cordless vacuum cleaners, the best laundry baskets and hampers, and the best home security cameras you can buy.

Although the Coop Home Goods Memory Foam Pillow is our top pick, for various reasons laid out in the slides below, you should also consider the Brookstone BioSense Luxe Pillow, the Elite Rest Ultra Slim Sleeper Pillow, the Sleep Innovations Contour Pillow, and the InteVision Foam Wedge Pillow.

SEE ALSO: The best pillows you can buy for your bed

The best memory foam pillow overall

Why you'll love it: The Coop Home Goods Memory Foam Pillow is fully customizable to your needs because you can take out some of the shredded memory foam to reach the perfect level of comfort.

The Coop Home Goods memory foam pillow is largely considered to be the most versatile and comfortable pillow you can buy — period. It's filled with shredded memory foam that you can take out or put into the pillow to adjust the thickness and firmness, so it’s totally customizable to your needs. It's also our top pillow pick overall in our pillow buying guide.

Inside the pillow, you’ll find Coop Home Goods’ propriety mix of shredded visco elastic memory foam which you can add or remove depending on your needs. The pillow comes with plenty of foam, too, so even those who prefer really thick pillows should be fine with what the Coop Home Goods memory foam pillow has to offer.

Thanks to the fact that the pillow has shredded foam, it is also quite a bit more breathable than most memory foam pillows, so those of you who tend to get hot at night should be all right.

The pillow is also hypoallergenic, comes with a five-year warranty, and is machine washable. It’s not perfect, though. While Sleepopolis gave the pillow a hefty 4.6/5 in its review, it did note that there is a slight smell to the pillow for the first few days, though that smell will eventually go away. Still, that’s a small thing to keep in mind.

Perhaps the best thing about the pillow is that it offers excellent value for money. A queen-sized memory foam pillow costs $54.99, and you can save $5 for a so-called “standard” size or pay an extra $5 for a “king size” pillow.

Pros: Adjustable, breathable, relatively inexpensive

Cons: Gives off slight smell for first few days of use

Buy the Coop Home Goods memory foam pillow on Amazon for $49.99 - $59.99 (price varies by size)

The best memory foam pillow for side sleepers

Why you'll love it: The Brookstone BioSense Luxe is nice and soft with its memory foam and down combination filling that's thick enough for most side-sleepers to get a good night’s sleep.

If you’re uniquely a side-sleeper and want something that will best suit your favorite sleeping position, then the Brookstone BioSense Luxe pillow from Bed Bath & Beyond is the one for you.

The pillow was specifically designed with side sleepers in mind. It’s a little thicker than some other memory foam pillows, so it should keep your neck aligned properly when you sleep. That, in turn, should help prevent waking up with a sore neck or doing any damage to your neck over time. Just because the pillow is thick doesn’t mean that it’s uncomfortable. The Brookstone pillow is still pretty soft and it makes use of BioSense’s memory foam core, coupled with down filling to ensure maximum comfort.

The cover of the pillow is also machine washable and offers temperature control so that your pillow stays nice and cool through the night.

There are some downsides to consider, of course. This really isn’t the best pillow for those who aren’t side-sleepers or who sleep in multiple different positions. It’s also a little pricey, coming in at $89.99 for the queen size pillow.

Pros: Nice thickness for side-sleepers, memory foam and down mix ensures softness

Cons: A little expensive, not great for non side-sleepers

The best memory foam pillow for stomach sleepers

Why you'll love it: If you’re a stomach sleeper, you need a thin pillow to prevent doing damage to your neck and back muscles — The Elite Rest Ultra Slim Sleeper Pillow measures only 2.5-inches.

If you use a thick pillow and sleep on your stomach, you could be doing all kinds of damage to your back and neck because tyour neck is arched, causing the muscles to constrict. The Elite Labs Ultra Slim Sleeper Pillow aims to prevent neck contortions, and as the name suggests, it's ultra slim. In fact, it's only 2.5-inches thick.

Even though it's super thin, the pillow is much more comfortable than you'd expect. Thanks to its memory foam construction, it should offer plenty of support and it will contour to your needs during the night. It’s also designed so that it doesn't move around too much at night.

If you worry a lot about hygiene or have allergies, the Elite Rest Pillow is a good purchase because the pillow cover is hypoallergenic, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and bed bug resistant. Reviews on Amazon are pretty positive, too. It has a 4.4-star rating average, with 70 percent of the reviews giving it 5 stars. Luckily, the pillow isn't too expensive, either, coming in at $59.99.

There are a few downsides, but for stomach-sleepers, the pros will far outweigh the cons. Like some other memory foam pillows, it will smell a little when you immediately get it, but airing it out should help prevent that.

Pros: Extremely thin for stomach-sleepers, not overly expensive, flat side prevents movement at night, very hygiene-conscious

Cons: Might smell a little initially

The insane workouts Alison Brie did to get in shape for her new show

Glow Netflix final

At 5'3", Alison Brie seems like the last person who could play a convincing professional wrestler, but her trainer is here to tell you she's the real deal.

For Brie's new show, Netflix's "GLOW" (available June 23), the funny actress busted her butt for months with trainer Jason Walsh to not just look the part, but also to actually withstand the rigors of playing one of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.

"Alison did all her stunts," Walsh recently told Business Insider. "I'll tell you right now, I've worked with a lot of people and she's a little bad a--."

In "GLOW," Brie stars as Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress who gets invited to audition along with 12 other women for the professional wrestling promotion Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (G.L.O.W.), which was indeed a real promotion started in the '80s.

Walsh, who's worked with everyone from Emily Blunt on "Edge of Tomorrow" to Matt Damon for "Jason Bourne," put together a workout plan for Brie that was a mix of cardio and strength training four days a week (often with a workout in the morning and afternoon each day) so her body could take the abuse.

"Alison would be jumping off ropes and landing on people and flipping. I wanted to get her resilient so she didn't run the risk of injury," Walsh said. "The science of training has really shifted the past decade to that more than glamour muscles."

Walsh did this through two different workout methods of his creation: Rise Movement, which is one-on-one strength training, and Rise Nation, a cardio class in which clients use a VersaClimber.

Here's a glimpse at the exercises Walsh put Brie through:

Jeff Bezos just handed corporate America a $50 billion question

If you needed any further proof that Amazon is shaking the US commercial landscape to its very core, look no further than the past week.

Amazon's $13.7 billion deal for Whole Foods has had a ripple effect across sectors. The grocery industry, an $800 billion addressable market in the US, according to Goldman Sachs, has a low level of e-commerce penetration. That could be about to change. Traditional grocery-store players like Kroger, Costco, and Target saw their stocks get battered after the deal was announced.

The effects haven't been contained to the grocery aisles, either. United Natural Foods, the primary distributor for Whole Foods, also took a hit. And the pharmaceutical supply chain took a big hit too.

Then, it emerged that Amazon could enter into a partnership with the world's biggest athletic-apparel brand, hitting the likes of Dick's, Under Armour, and Foot Locker.

In short, Amazon is rapidly putting its stamp on industries far and wide. Capable of creating or erasing billions of dollars of market value with even the smallest action, the tech titan has investors and corporate employees alike shaking in their boots.

The rise of Amazon hints at a broader question that looms over executives in traditional consumer-facing industries. If a tech giant can in one fell swoop land a deal and emerge as a key player in an $800 billion industry, what's stopping a new entrant doing the same in my industry?

"It's been a while since we've seen such an aftershock from an M&A transaction," said Marc-Anthony Hourihan, UBS' cohead of mergers and acquisitions in the Americas. "These ripples seem to be going in much broader sectors."

Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods, combined with reports that the company will start directly selling Nike products, has helped the tech giant add $18 billion in market cap in the past week. In contrast, $31 billion in competitor market cap has been wiped out in the same period.

Add the two amounts together and you have an almost $50 billion gap.

Walmart and Costco have been hit the hardest, both losing more than $8 billion in value since the Whole Foods deal was announced on June 16. Whole Foods stock has been trading above Amazon's offer of $42 a share, however, signaling that investors believe a bidding war could emerge and drive up the final price for Whole Foods.

Competitors like Target, Costco, and Kroger have been rumored as potential suitors, and they would do anything to make this deal harder for Amazon, according to Barclays analyst Karen Short. But according to JPMorgan, Walmart is the only retailer with a legitimate shot of entering the fray.

At the same time, Morgan Stanley said in a research note that the retail drug space could experience a wave of M&A action as companies try to outflank Amazon.

"Competition across the supply chain continues to increase as Amazon inches closer to entering drug retail on the heels of the Whole Foods acquisition," the analysts said, highlighting CVS and Express Scripts as companies with strong merger opportunities.

Dick's, Under Armour, and Foot Locker have dropped about $300 million in market value since Goldman Sachs predicted Amazon would start selling Nike.

Business Insider dug into the wreckage from the past week, looking at the three most affected industries in the US stock market. Here's how the damage looks, with handy acronyms dreamed up by BI for each group:

Grocers, aka Woodstock (WDSTCK) — Walmart, Dollar General, Supervalu, Target, Costco, Kroger

Grocers were most directly affected by the Whole Foods deal, and the losses are deep and widely distributed. The market cap-weighted Woodstock (WDSTCK) index have dropped 7.8% since the acquisition, including a 5.9% decline the day it was announced.

While the companies themselves have been getting shelled, traders betting against them reaped a big windfall. Short speculators made about $500 million in the week ended June 16, according to data compiled by financial analytics firm S3 Partners.

Sporting goods, aka Duff (DUF) — Dick's, Under Armour, Foot Locker

Sporting good retailers, specifically those selling apparel, were most directly affected by a Goldman Sachs report saying Nike may start selling products on Amazon. The market cap-weighted Duff (DUF) index has dropped 3.3% in the two days since the news. DUF pared its loss on Thursday after sinking 3.8% the day of the report. The group is still out about $300 million in market value since the Goldman note.

It was the latest rocky patch for a sector that's come under pressure in 2017. Even before the news of Nike's possible Amazon partnership, DUF was down 28% year-to-date.

Selling directly on the site eliminates a layer between Nike and the consumer, allowing the company to better control pricing and presentation. Goldman sees it as a deal worth potentially up to $500 million of revenue yearly — an additional 1% of global sales for the Nike.

That's money coming out of the other retailers' pockets.

Pharmacies, aka Quack Me (CWACKME) — CVS, Walgreens, Cardinal, AmerisourceBergen, McKesson, Express Scripts

While not as directly linked to the Amazon/Whole Foods deal as grocers, pharmacy stocks were still collateral damage. The market cap-weighted Quack Me (CWACME) index dropped 2.5% on the day of the announcement.

While the selling stemmed from anxiety over Amazon possibly entering the pharmacy business, it's not the first time those fears have mounted. A report in May that the company is seriously considering breaking into the space led to speculation about what that might look like.

However, CWACME proved more resilient than its WDSTCK and DUF peers, erasing that loss in the days following the original Whole Foods purchase.

In her experience so far, no one has ever said no.

Fox works with clients from all over the world. From the time they contact her asking for ideas to the moment they get down on one knee, she's there through it all.

Summer isn't just for rosé.

To get an idea of which other bottles you'll want for the table, boat, or beach, we asked Jörn Kleinhans, owner of the The Sommelier Company, for his current summer favorites.

Keep scrolling for Kleinhans' picks — all under $25.

1. Cremant from Limoux, Southern France

Try: NV Domaine J Laurens Brut Rose, Cremant de Limoux, Languedoc-Roussillon, France, $20

"The greatest sparkling wines in the world are certainly from Champagne, but they are usually not great bargains," Kleinhans told Business Insider.

"There are a few little-known regions in France that make great sparkling wine under $25, with nearly the same quality as the great Champagnes. Make sure you always have enough sparkling wines from Limoux in the house — nothing is more refreshing on a summer morning."

2. Pinot Gris from Willamette Valley, Oregon

Try: 2014 Sineann Pinot Gris, Willamette Valley, Oregon, $20

"Oregon has given the classic French grape Pinot Gris a great new world spin that shows its floral notes beautifully on warmer days," said Kleinhans.

3. Dry Riesling from Mosel, Germany

Try: 2014 Weingut Rebenhof Riesling Trocken "Von Wurzelechten Reben" Mosel, Germany, $19

"Not all Rieslings are sweet," said Kleinhans. "Dry Riesling is the great secret of Germany, and these acidic and lively wines can be very aromatic."

Abandoned Hotel Bali

French photographer Romain Veillon has traveled around the globe capturing abandoned places that range from a ghost town in Namibia to the Soviet remains of Bulgaria.

The photographer's book, "Ask the Dust," includes photographs from his various excursions.

His most recent photo series, "The Ghost Hotel," features a hotel in the highlands of Bali that has stood vacant for over a decade. The photos are striking, but in a haunting way.

According to Veillon, the hotel was never named because it was never actually in operation.

Located in Bali's highlands, the hotel sits in the north of the country, near the village of Bedugul, which is about 30 miles from the capital city, Denpasar.

Veillon says that not much is known about the hotel. The locals he spoke with offered little to no information.

How DJ Khaled revived his career and became a pop superstar with his marketing genius

Rob Markman Genius.com 29

In October 2015, DJ Khaled's eighth album, "I Changed a Lot," debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard album chart, moving an unremarkable 19,000 copies in its first week.

It was the lowest-selling album of Khaled's career.

The LP's tepid performance suggested that the once-ubiquitous Miami DJ — who boasted several platinum-selling hip-hop posse cuts ("We Takin' Over,""All I Do Is Win,""I'm on One") between 2007 and 2011 — had steadily lost his tastemaker's touch in popular culture.

Everything changed in December 2015, when Khaled got lost on a jet ski in the Atlantic Ocean and took to Snapchat to document his journey to safety. Khaled's footage of the event went viral.

Now, with over six million followers on Snapchat, Khaled's daily presence on the app and other social media has proven to be a colossally rejuvenating marketing tool for the 41-year-old producer.

In July 2016, buoyed by his millions of new followers and revived visibility, Khaled rode a wave of popularity to his first number-one album, "Major Key."

On the strength of his biggest single to date, "I'm the One," his new tenth album "Grateful" (out this Friday) is looking like it will be the blockbuster event of his career.

Here are four ways DJ Khaled has recaptured the charts and revitalized his career:

By rapidly accumulating over 15 million followers across Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram, DJ Khaled has been able to resurrect a career that appeared somewhat lifeless just two years ago.

Deemed the "King of Snapchat" by Coca-Cola Senior VP for Content Emmanuel Seuge, Khaled has used the app to share self-help advice dotted with his many catchphrases ("Major Key,""We the Best,""Bless Up"), promote various consumer products, and tease behind-the-scenes studio updates.

"Being authentic always wins," Khaled told CNBC last week of his social-media presence. "When people see somebody that is just real, they love it. It ain't no act. It ain't no fake."

He's gone after the biggest names in the industry with "persistence."

Width: 800px

Since his first album "Listennn..." was released in 2006, Khaled has routinely attracted hip-hop stars like Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and Drake. But to get the upper-upper-echelon artists — namely JAY-Z, Beyoncé, and Rihanna — he's had to put in years of effort and networking.

I spoke to Khaled briefly last year and asked him to elaborate on how he bought a condo and stayed in New York for a year just to get a verse from JAY-Z on his 2015 single "They Don't Love You Know More."

"Yeah. I stayed in New York for a year to pull that off. Persistence and passion and dedication," he told Business Insider of the effort. "It's something I wanted to do for myself and the culture and the fans. It's JAY-Z. All his verses are forever."

Jay would go on to feature with rapper Future on Khaled's 2016 single "I Got the Keys" and with his wife, Beyoncé, on Khaled's 2017 single "Shining."

He's moved away from making traditional hip-hop and forged inventive pop hits.

Known for most of his career for facilitating conventional hip-hop group tracks, Khaled has moved more toward the mainstream this year by assembling a diverse collection of artists for innovative pop singles that sound like nothing he's made before.

Khaled's single "I'm the One," featuring Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne, Quavo, and Justin Bieber, became his first ever No. 1 single in May.

His most recent single "Wild Thoughts" pairs him with pop superstar Rihanna for the first time ever and features R&B singer Bryson Tiller and a guitar sample from Carlos Santana.
