Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Sunday's "The Walking Dead," titled "The Damned."

Rick and his army continued their war against Negan and his Saviors on Sunday's episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead.

While they stormed various Savior outposts, taking out Negan's men and rounding up prisoners, there were many callbacks and references that go all the way back to season one. Keep reading to see everything you may have missed.

Tara, Jesus, Dianne, and Morgan raid a familiar Savior outpost.

It's the same one they infiltrated at night with Glenn, Heath, and more back on season seven.

Last time, Morgan wasn't with them. Earlier on the same episode, he was very outspoken with Rick that he didn't believe slaughtering the Saviors in their sleep was the answer to their problems.

An overconfident Morgan tells men from the Hilltop that he doesn't die early on the episode.

He's not the only one who has said that phrase.

  • Many investors are worried that the time has come for an economic downturn.
  • Morgan Stanley has compiled a list of stocks its analyst think are primed for growth regardless of macroeconomic conditions.

Morgan Stanley has released its list of stocks that could outperform markets, regards of what might happen to upset economic conditions.

These "secular growth stocks," as the bank calls its 8th annual report out Wednesday, are companies in which its analyst are bullish and see an upside beyond the usual business cycle.

"While our US Equity Strategy team has remained positive on an equity market they believe is "Classic Late Cycle," for some long-term investors, it may make sense to focus not on the cycle, but through the cycle," the bank said. "Indeed, Morgan Stanley Research has long focused on identifying multi-year secular trends — powerful long-term drivers that can reshape or disrupt economies, sectors, and business models."

To compile the list, Morgan Stanley screened the thousands of stocks generated revenue growth for the last three years. It then focused on those rated "overweight" or "equal weight" by its analysts to find which had a three-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) forecast of at least 15% for earnings per share and 10% for revenue.

Here are the 16 stocks that could see revenue with a CAGR of more than 20% through 2019:

DoughtyHouse,frontfacade

LONDON — A stately home in London which sellers say "rivals Buckingham Palace" is on sale in London for £100 million.

Doughty House, in Richmond, was built in 1769, and hosted generations of royals and aristocrats before falling into a state of disrepair. Now, it is being renovated by ultra-prime developer K10 Group.

The acquisition, construction, restoration, and fit-out costs are £62.5 million, and with a guide price of £100 million, it is valued as one of the capital's most expensive private residences.

Take a look at past and present pictures of the house below.

The three-storey Doughty House was originally built in 1769 and is located at the crest of Richmond Hill in south-west London, providing views of the River Thames.

The house passed through generations of extremely wealthy aristocrats before ending up in the hands of a developer in 1949.

A lack of investment meant the 38,000 square foot property fell into a state of disrepair.

12 celebrities whose careers completely changed after dyeing their hair

$

  • Hair can make or break your career in Hollywood, especially when you're just getting started in the business.
  • The color of an actresses hair can make all the difference, which is why women like Emma Stone and Amy Adams traded in their blonde locks for a red look.
  • From Mandy Moore to Gwen Stefani, here are 12 famous women whose careers took off after dyeing their hair.

What a difference hair makes. It’s no secret that natural hair color is somewhat of a myth in Hollywood. With so many celebrities switching up their natural-born shades for hues on the complete opposite end of the color spectrum, it’s near-impossible to track down what someone’s original hair looks like. And while most of us switch up our hair for vanity purposes, the right hairstyle in Hollywood can mean life or death for a star’s career.

When you’re starting out in the business, everything counts—even the strands of hair on your head. So, when celebrities like Emma Stone and Amy Adams weren’t booking roles as blondes, they went straight to the hair dye, kissed their sun-kissed locks goodbye, and became gingers, which is when the parts started rolling in.

And while the right color is different for everyone (for Stone and Adams, it might be red; for others, it might be black or brown), one thing is for sure: If it’s not working, dye it. Ahead, peek at 12 famous women whose careers exploded after dying their hair.

Emma Stone

Though she's primarily known for her fiery red locks, Stone is a natural blonde. She spent years trying to break into Hollywood with lighter-colored locks before testing out her luck as a brunette. Then, when she was booked on 2007's "Superbad" (the film that eventually became her big break), the movie's producer, Judd Apatow, asked her to dye her hair red. Obliging, Stone crossed over to the ginger side, and, after booking significant projects like "The House Bunny" and "Easy A," she seemed to take a liking to the color. Now, however, the actress switches between her iconic red and her natural blonde for films like "The Amazing Spider-Man" series and her new Netflix series, "Maniac."

“Judd made me a redhead,” Stone told the Easy Valley Tribune. “I was a brunette during casting. Then Judd walked in, said 'Make it red,’ and walked out. So he made me this way.”

Mandy Moore

Moore first broke onto the Hollywood as a bubbly-blonde pop-singing teenager. Though, after she transitioned to acting, the "This Is Us" star ditched her natural blonde hair color for a more subdued, mousy brunette—which has become her signature shade. The actress first went brunette for the 2002 movie, "A Walk to Remember." After seeing her career skyrocket, she thought it was best to stick with the chocolate-brown shade.

"There was a real significance to coloring my hair," she told Us Weekly. "As silly as it sounds, there was a real significance in the way that people saw me, but also in the way that I carried myself and that I saw myself."

Amy Adams

In an interview with The Washington Post, Adams, who is a natural blonde, revealed that she was consistently typecast as the "bitchy girl" before she went red. It wasn't until the five-time Oscar nominee, who is now known for playing sweet, innocent roles, dyed her hair ginger that she saw her career really catching steam.

"Everyone's always like: 'You're so typecast,'" she said. "But actually, when I came out to L.A., I was always the bitchy girl."

Paul Manafort lavish spending

  • Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, was indicted on Monday morning on a range of charges, including money laundering and tax fraud.
  • Manafort used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle for himself and his family, including multimillion-dollar homes and antique furnishings, the indictment says.
  • The indictment says he also spent millions of dollars on "personal items" like Range Rovers and on shopping in New York and California.

Four Range Rovers, millions of dollars in antiques, and nearly $850,000 worth of men's clothing are just a few of the "personal items" President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, bought using money in offshore accounts over nearly a decade, an indictment says.

Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates were indicted by a grand jury on Monday on a range of charges, including money laundering and tax fraud. The men are accused of laundering more than $21 million — more than $18 million by Manafort and more than $3 million by Gates — from 2006 to at least 2016. They surrendered to the FBI on Monday morning.

The indictment says that from 2008 to 2014, Manafort used offshore accounts to wire over $12 million to fund a luxurious lifestyle and an additional $6.4 million to purchase two New York City properties — a condominium on Howard Street and a brownstone on Union Street — and a house in Arlington, Virginia.

On Monday, Lennar Corporation announced plans to buy smaller rival CalAtlantic Group, making it the largest homebuilder in the United States. The stock-and-cash deal is valued at about $9.3 billion, including a debt of $3.6 billion.

Lennar and CalAtlantic already have large footprints across the US. Combined, the two corporations have 240,000 building plots in 21 states, a market value of around $18 billion, and a revenue of $17 billion over the past year.

The announcement follows ongoing labor shortages, increased regulatory costs, and a summer of powerful hurricanes that destroyed thousands of homes, mostly in Texas, Florida, the Caribbean Islands, and Puerto Rico. According to The New York Times, Lennar and CalAtlantic hope that by merging, they can address some of the issues that emerged from the disasters, including a decline in construction in the South.

Each administration since President John F. Kennedy has had an official photographer to document life in the White House.

While Pete Souza was busy documenting the life of President Barack Obama, the photographer Amanda Lucidon was following Michelle Obama, capturing her every move from 2013 until 2017.

Lucidon's new book, "Chasing Light," is more than 200 pages of the former first lady's time in the White House, along with personal accounts from Lucidon.

"It was a remarkable experience," Lucidon told Business Insider of her time documenting the first family.

Here's a look at some of the best photographs from the book.

It was the White House photographer Pete Souza who called Lucidon to ask whether she was interested in the job.

"Before working at the White House, I had spent most of my career documenting stories that focused on civil rights and discrimination issues," Lucidon told Business Insider. "As a documentarian, I recognized the importance and responsibility of photographing our first African-American first family. For me, it transcended politics. I had the honor to witness and document history."

In her book, Lucidon describes feeling "shell shock" upon meeting the first lady. "It was quick, I have no idea what I said, and I could hardly see because I was smiling so big," Lucidon wrote.

Introducing the Rising Stars on Wall Street age 35 and under.

We scoured our contacts for ideas about whom we should include, receiving recommendations from bosses, colleagues, recruiters, and others working in the finance industry. The editors made final decisions.

We've included people with a variety of roles and experiences, from companies including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, New York Stock Exchange, BlackRock, and Bridgewater.

We came across many talented people, and this list is by no means comprehensive. To be eligible, we asked that nominees be based in or around New York City, be 35 or under, and be distinguished in some way from the pack.

Following are Business Insider's list of the top young Wall Streeters.

Eric Evans, 26, Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers

Evans, 26, is head of research and an investment analyst at Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers, a hedge-fund firm in New York that manages more than $1.8 billion.

Evans was appointed head of research at age 25, in April 2016. His responsibilities include leading process enhancement and the cost-management effort at the firm. That includes figuring out how to make the investment teams work more efficiently and developing tools that help the firm monitor skills and behavioral biases.

Evans also manages relationships with more than 100 counterparties that work with Weiss.

As an investment analyst, Evans focuses on investing in energy stocks and derivatives, one of several sectors Weiss invests in. Evans got his start at the firm as a summer intern ahead of his senior year of college at the University of Florida. He worked at Citi as an analyst in leveraged finance before moving back to Weiss.

A Miami native, Evans holds a bachelor's and master's in finance from the University of Florida, which he completed in four years.

Fahmi Quadir, 27, Safkhet Capital

Quadir, 27, is launching a short-selling-focused hedge fund, Safkhet Capital. The fund, which is targeting a $200 million soft close for next year, will focus on betting against fraudulent companies.

Quadir previously worked at Deallus Consulting, where she did investigative work for pharmaceutical clients. One of the companies she came across was Valeant Pharmaceuticals, which became valuable when she moved to hedge fund Krensavage Asset Management as an analyst. There, she initiated a short position on Valeant in June 2015 and continued to press as her conviction increased, leading to major gains for the fund as the stock plummeted.

Quadir holds a bachelor's degree in math and biology from Harvey Mudd College.

Jesse Reinherz, 27, Millennium Management

Reinherz, 27, is a stock-focused portfolio manager at Millennium Management, a $35 billion New York hedge-fund firm. He focuses on consumer and tech investing.

Reinherz joined Millennium earlier this year and is one of the youngest portfolio managers in the firm's history. He previously was a senior investment analyst at Moore Capital and worked on the sell side at Stifel, where he covered the beverage sector.

He holds a bachelor's in economics and math from Boston University.

The marijuana industry's first $1 billion "unicorn" startup — now the world's largest publicly traded cannabis company— is joining forces with a beer industry giant.

On Monday, Constellation Brands, the owners of Corona and Modelo, announced it acquired a 9.9% stake in cannabis holding company Canopy Growth. The beer behemoth paid $191 million for its stake in Canopy Growth, Canada's biggest producer of medical marijuana.

Founded in 2014, Canopy Growth likens itself to the Procter & Gamble of pot. Several cannabis brands fall under its umbrella and cater to different user preferences. The company supplies the drug to about a third of the roughly 200,000 medical marijuana customers in Canada.

Canopy Growth grows, trims, processes, packages, and ships marijuana products out of several properties across the Great White North. Take a look inside the company's headquarters.

SEE ALSO: The 'Tesla of cannabis' is opening a massive, custom-built marijuana greenhouse

Canopy Growth has greenhouses across Canada, but its headquarters are based in a once-abandoned Hershey chocolate factory in the small town of Smiths Falls, Ontario.

The company supplies the drug to about a third of Canada's 200,000 medical marijuana patients. It is the world's largest publicly traded cannabis company.

Bruce Linton, CEO of Canopy Growth, founded the company because he thought a vertically integrated company — one that grows marijuana in addition to processing it for oils and other products and packaging it for shipment — would give him better control over quality.

Vertically integrated companies are also able to offer their products more cheaply, since they cut out the middle men in growing and distribution.

Top 10 waiver-wire pickups for Week 9 in your fantasy football league

$

0

Robby Anderson, Josh McCown, and Austin Seferian-Jenkins

With Week 8 of the NFL season nearly in the books, it's time for fantasy football managers to get ready to make their waiver claims.

Many NFL teams have reached their halfway point of the season, making it a perfect time to change your perception of the early underachievers and overachievers. For example, the Jets sit at 3-5 with one of the top 20 offenses in the league, but several of their most active players remain woefully under-owned. Taking advantage of these market inefficiencies could be the key to your championship hopes.

Week 8 wasn't a particularly big one for injuries, but with six more teams on byes this week, your league should see a flurry of transactions. Below, we take a look at the top available names.

Alex Collins, RB

Team: Baltimore Ravens

Week 8 stats: 113 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards, 2 receptions

One thing to know: It looks like those Irish dance lessons are paying off. Two months after being cut by Seattle and signed to the Ravens' practice squad, Collins is having a terrific season for a team with legitimate playoff aspirations. The former fifth round pick leads the NFL in yards per rushing attempt.

Robby Anderson, WR

Team: New York Jets

Week 8 stats: 104 receiving yards, 1 rushing yard, 6 receptions, 1 touchdown

One thing to know: Anderson posted his second game with at least 90 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, but the Temple product was nevertheless owned by just 28% of Yahoo fantasy managers. After pulling in all six of his targets, he'll be a much more popular option this week.

Matt Forte, RB

Team: New York Jets

Week 8 stats: 7 rushing yards, 45 receiving yards, 6 receptions

One thing to know: While Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire have taken over the Jets' ground game, Forte has carved out a nice niche as their primary receiving back. The Tulane product has produced in the double digits for three consecutive games, making him a relatively safe pickup.

8 of the best boots for men made in the USA

$

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you’ll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

ledeSome of the most well-known footwear brands were founded in America, but as companies grow, they oftentimes outsource their product-making to foreign countries.

While larger overseas factories and lower employee wages allow brands to ramp up production (and profits), they lose their "Made in the USA" stamp and the premium quality associated with that.

Nothing compares to the superior craftsmanship of American-made boots, so buying a pair is a great way to keep a single pair for years and years.

In addition to the quality and finish, buying American-made products supports the economy.

Compared to the entire footwear market, American-made boots are seemingly few and far between. With the right direction, however, you can find several great options to wear. Companies like Timberland, Thursday Boot Company, L.L.Bean, and more all make boots in the USA that you'll be proud to purchase and wear.

If you're looking for high quality and rugged durability, boots that have been made in the USA are the way to go.

Check out the best boots made in the USA, below:

Thursday Boot Co. Vanguard Boot

The Thursday Boot Co. Vanguard is the best bang for your buck when it comes to USA-made boots. Priced at $249, it's the least expensive pair on this list, but you'd never be able to guess that from the quality. The upper is inspired by American service boots of the 1940s, and the outsoles come in leather or Vibram variations. The Grizzly Wheat pair in particular uses a full-grain leather upper, Horween leather interior liners, Goodyear welt construction, durable Kevlar laces, and a Vibram lug sole.

Thursday Boot Co. Vanguard Boot, $249

Huckberry x Original Chippewa 6-Inch Service Boot

Founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin in 1901, Chippewa boots have a long reputation for making tough and dependable footwear. The boots have been worn by all kinds of people, from explorers to pilots. This 6-inch service boot was done in collaboration with San Francisco's Huckberry and features a super soft full grain leather upper, crack-resistant Vibram soles, and Goodyear welt construction.

Huckberry x Original Chippewa 6-Inch Service Boot, $280

Timberland Made in USA 8-Inch Boot

As a big fan of Timberland boots, I've owned many different pairs over the years, but the Made in USA 8" Boots are by far the highest quality pair I've owned. Crafted entirely in the USA, the boots use Horween leather. The Chicago-based tannery puts major emphasis on premium leathers and century-old tanning methods, and the boots definitely reflect that.

The Made in USA 8" Boots feature a rich burgundy leather upper, brown ankle collars, and black waxed laces. While the boot is modern, Timberland remembers its roots with the vintage-style oversized logo. Unfinished edges, rugged metal hardware, and Goodyear welt construction showcase just how well made the boots are. Horween leather paired with a durable Vibram sole make for boots that will literally last a lifetime.

15 creepy destinations in the US for anyone obsessed with the supernatural

  • From haunted houses to portals to another dimension, there are many allegedly supernatural sites all over the US.
  • Camp Hero in Montauk, New York, was allegedly used for mysterious government experiments that inspired the Netflix show, "Stranger Things."
  • In Hellam Township, Pennsylvania, you can supposedly find a gateway into hell.

From allegedly haunted houses (and even haunted cruise ships) to sites related to government conspiracy theories, there are no shortage of mysterious supernatural spots in the US.

And there's no better time than Halloween to discover paranormal spots around the country — some of them may even be in your own backyard.

Keep reading for 15 of the most mysterious supernatural spots in the US.

Area 51, Nevada

Area 51 is one of the most notorious supernatural sites in the US. Located in Lincoln County, Nevada, the site is in a remote section of a US military base.

Area 51 gained notoriety in the 1950s when reports of mysterious activity related to UFOs and aliens on the base began circulating. Between these mysterious reports and the already secretive nature of the military base, Area 51 became the subject of many a conspiracy theory.

Sedona, Arizona

Many supernatural sites have a negative connotation related to ghosts, demons, or other evil spirits. Sedona, Arizona, on the other hand, is said to give off positive, healing energy.

Many people believe that Sedona is a vortex, although certain areas throughout the town have particularly strong vortex energy. These vortexes reportedly help people reach new levels of spiritual development.

People who visit Sedona in search of spiritual guidance often practice yoga and meditation near reported vortexes in order to feel the strongest effects of the spiritual energy.

The Taos Hum, Taos, New Mexico

Taos, New Mexico, is perhaps best known for the Taos Pueblo, the 1,000-year-old community that is still inhabited to this day. The site draws visitors who often marvel at the pueblo's architecture, and the history of the native people.

However, there is a mysterious phenomenon back in the town of Taos that no one has been able to figure out entirely. In the early 1990s, residents began reporting a frequent humming noise around town. The strange occurrence became known as the Taos Hum, and it was even investigated by a professor of engineering at the University of New Mexico.

Even after the research, no one has been able to conclude the source of the humming, although people have blamed it on the government and nearby UFOs.

Here are 5 pieces of weird gear US special operators say they rely on

us special operator

These five pieces of everyday gear have proven invaluable to special operators.

American special operators don’t make it all the way to the top tier of the world’s greatest military by not displaying an incredible capacity for mature, common sense decision-making, and an ability to improvise in ways that, unfortunately, you just don’t often see on the conventional side of the house.

And while they have a much larger budget for gear acquisition and training, what truly distinguishes operators from everyone else is the simple stuff. Because thinking outside of the box doesn’t always mean reinventing the wheel.

Sometimes, it just means shopping off post.

And no, I’m not talking about the beard oil Green Berets use to keep their face armor soft and luscious, or the vats of hair gel that SEALs always keep on hand in case, you know, they get cast in a Hollywood film. I’m talking about simple, everyday items that you don’t need Uncle Sam’s credit card or a top secret clearance to buy.

Take a look.

Football players use them for a quick way to reference plays, but operators use them to reference aerial maps of a target area during missions, as well as hold information necessary during sensitive site exploitation and tactical questioning of detainees.

Those who are responsible for calling in close air support or operating radios use them, too. They write necessary information onto a piece of illumination tape with an alcohol pen, and insert it into the plastic slot on their forearm. During a call for fire mission, having that information at your fingertips is much better than fumbling through a notebook shoved in one of your cargo pockets.

NFL skull caps

Tyler Grey, a former Ranger who hails from the 2nd Ranger Battalion, found another piece of football equipment useful as well.

“My team bought NFL skull caps. They keep the hair and sweat out of your eyes, and it’s easy to put under a helmet,” he said. “In Iraq, sweat getting into your eyes is a big deal. I mean that’s literally what the NFL uses them for, too — keeping the hair and sweat out of your eyes while wearing a helmet.”

Grey did confess, however, that their use of skull caps did not go without a few odd looks from others in the unit. “We looked like wannabe gangsters, except we were white dudes in camo – so some guys definitely asked, ‘What the f--- is that?’”

The fanny pack

Of course, we can’t forget the beloved fanny pack. Often seen as a vestige of the 80s that is now only utilized by dads who wear tighty-whities and knee-high socks, the fanny pack has proven to be exceptionally useful for some in special operations.

It is worn around the waist and has a zippered closure, which makes it much more secure for storing sensitive SSE during exfil than shoving it in a cargo pocket with weak Velcro closures.

Others like it for keeping breaching equipment close at hand, and still others prefer it for carrying a concealed weapon during low-vis missions. The uses are near endless, which makes it a must-have piece of kit for many special operators.

amityville horror home

The US has no shortage of creepy abandoned buildings and terrifying haunted homes.

Tourist attractions aside, you'll also come across some truly horrifying estates with dark and oftentimes bloody histories — if you know where to look, that is.

Just ahead of Halloween this year, we rounded up the country's spookiest homes with backstories that'll give you goosebumps and send a shiver down your spine.

ALABAMA: Dr. John R. Drish House

Located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, this plantation home was built by one of the town's earliest settlers, Dr. John R. Drish. Since the 20th century, the tower has been said to be haunted. Numerous people have reported seeing the third floor burst into flames, when no fire was present, and other supernatural elements.

ALASKA: Jesse Lee Home for Children

Opened in 1926 as a sanctuary for orphaned children, this property was damaged during an earthquake in 1964. According to one urban legend, the spirits of several children still roam the hallways of this home.

Visitors have reportedly experienced "feelings of dread and despair upon entering the building;" heard giggling children, the sound of jump ropes, and bouncing balls; and seen shadowy figures.

ARIZONA: Winnie Ruth Judd House

In 1931, a 26-year-old medical secretary named Winnie Ruth Judd fatally shot two of her friends in this quaint bungalow. Dubbed the "Trunk Murderess," Judd was caught trying to dispose of her victims' corpses in Los Angeles, after she had stuffed their bodies into two trunks and other luggage.
