Out of all the sports, NBA players are the best at Twitter.

Nearly one-third of our 100 best athletes to follow were NBA guys, and they seem to be generally funnier and more active than other athletes.

Sometimes that gets them in trouble (see: JR Smith), but most of the time they successfully give fans an idea of how they are and how they think, which is the whole point.

#30 Rudy Gay (@rudygay22)

Memphis Grizzlies

Why you should follow him: Rarely uses more than 30 characters, might better be described as RudyGay_ebooks

Typical tweet: "Where is a studio at in Memphis?"

#29 Evan Turner (@thekidet)

Philadelphia 76ers

Why you should follow him: He's one of those NBA players who has elevated his brand with a huge focus on Twitter. He's always tweeting pictures

Typical tweet: "My I.D. Photo for my internship at Men's health Magazine http://instagr.am/p/QC5sKKTSCt/"

#28 Danny Granger (@dgranger33)

Indiana Pacers

Why you should follow him: One of the most down-to-Earth NBA players. Tweets a lot about shopping
