With over a million apps out there and more launching every day, it can be tough to keep track of them all.

Luckily, we've collected the best apps of the past month so you can find something new to try out.

From Microsoft's killer new Outlook email app to fun little games for passing the time like Psych, you're bound to find something you like.

Hopper predicts the price of future flights to find you the best deal.

Hopper claims they can help you save up to 40% on your flights by constantly monitoring prices and alerting you to the best date to purchase a ticket to get the best possible deal.

Price: Free (iOS)

Microsoft Outlook is one of the best email apps around.

Microsoft made a killer email app with Outlook, and it easily trounces Google's own Gmail app for iPhone. There's an integrated calendar that makes emailing your availability a cinch, and you can swipe to archive, delete, or schedule emails to return to your inbox at a later time.

Price: Free (iOS)

Letterspace is our new favorite note-taking app.

Letterspace solves the biggest problem of the default iPhone Notes app: organization. Letterspace uses hashtags to make searching through your notes easy, and there's a handy swipe bar that lets you navigate through your notes as you would with a computer mouse. That means less tapping and more typing.

Price: Free (iOS, Mac)

Welcome to year 11 of people worrying about a tech bubble

bubble1

It's time to kick off another round of worrying about the tech bubble.

According to the New York Times, there was a "sense of foreboding" hanging over a panel discussion about venture capital at Harvard Business School on Sunday.

Adam Valkin at General Catalyst warned, "My own view is we still have one, two or three very good years ahead. But then we should be cautious, because there’s no example in history where the cycle doesn’t come to an end and drag us through a very painful period."

Hmm. That sounds familiar....

2014: "There is a clear consensus that we are witnessing our second tech bubble in 15 years....What is uncertain is how much further the bubble can expand, and what might pop it."— David Einhorn, hedge fund manager

Frank Gehry Sydney FRONT

Frank Gehry, the Canadian-born American architect who's known for the titanium-clad Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, has given Sydney its most striking building since Jorn Utzon’s Sydney Opera House.

Jump straight to the photos »

The Dr Chau Chak Wing Building in Ultimo is the new home of the University of Technology Sydney’s business school. Named in honour of the billionaire Australian-Chinese businessman and philanthropist who donated $20 million toward the $180 million cost.

Gehry, 85, said he was inspired by the idea of a tree house, describing the structure as “a growing learning organism with many branches of thought, some robust and some ephemeral and delicate."

“The fold is primitive, you’re in your mother’s arms when you’re a child, and so we tried to do that with brick,” he said.

When asked if he was happy with the end result, Gehry responded “Oh boy. I’m Jewish and I feel guilty about everything.”

Dr Chau Chak Wing, a media-shy property billionaire with impeccable political connections, is a huge Gehry fan and said the design was “full of passion."

Here's Frank Gehry’s initial sketch for the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building.

Sydneysiders dubbed the building the crumpled paper bag.

Amazing pictures of a record 797 manatees invading a Florida bay

Mantees

A freshwater spring in Florida was forced to close it waters to tourists this week after more than 300 manatees moved into the are unexpectedly.

Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge in King’s Bay, on the western edge of the city of Crystal River, hosts what it bills as the only place where people can actually swim and play with the endangered species.

Around 250,000 people pour $30 million (£1.96 million) each year into the city’s economy as they paddle, snorkel, and swim with the manatees in the 22 degree Celsius (71 degrees Fahrenheit) waters.

The manatees are annual guests, gathering to warm up after migrating up from the Gulf of Mexico.

Except this year, they’re overdoing it a little. Manatee numbers the bay are up to a record of 797, according to Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge biologist Joyce Kleen. The previous record since monitoring began was 657 in 2012.

When the tide's up, they drift into Three Sisters Springs where tourists, after watching a “manatee Manners” presentation, are allowed to float and watch them within touching distance.

And take amazing photos like this:

But yesterday, when nearly 300 manatees rushed the springs, management decided to close the springs.

"We have a record number this year," Laura Ruettiman, an environmental education guide at the springs, told USA Today. "We have 150 more manatees here than have ever been recorded in the past."

Ruettiman said the high numbers could be a result of the increasing protection the springs offer the manatees, as other habitats are being destroyed.

What it's like to use Tidal, the Swedish music streaming app that Jay Z is buying

Jay Z

Jay Z wants to get in on the streaming music game. Sure, Dr. Dre got there first with Beats, but Jay Z wants his own streaming service.

On January 30, news emerged that Jay Z had bid $56 million to buy Aspiro, the Swedish company behind the WiMP and Tidal streaming sites.

We decided to give Tidal (the version of WiMP that's available in both the UK and US) a try.

You'll need headphones to properly enjoy Tidal, as the app's intro screen subtly indicates.

Tidal streams music in a high-quality format by default. If you listen to Spotify on your phone, you're only listening to 96 kb/s.

Even on a fast internet connection, you'll see loading icons instead of play buttons sometimes.

Happy 11th birthday, Facebook!

If you've been a loyal Facebook user since the beginning, you might remember how drastically different the site used to look. If not, we've got you covered.

From a private social network for Harvard students to the mammoth site that it is today, Facebook has evolved its design and capabilities accordingly.

Who knows what the next major change will be, but you can bet that users will complain about it, just like they did about every other change in the site's history. And then they decide they love it.

(Former Business Insider reporter Megan Rose Dickey also contributed to this piece.)

Remember when Facebook was called Thefacebook? It started at Harvard and slowly opened up to other colleges.

This is what a Facebook group page looked like in 2005.

For comparison, this is what a Facebook group page looks like today.

This intense training course makes US Marine scout snipers the deadliest shots on earth

The Marine Scout Sniper school is the most elite military sniper school on earth. It is also one of the toughest special operations courses in the US Military.

Not only do the Army, Navy, and the Air Force send troops here, but foreign services like the Israelis and the British also trade students for the opportunity to earn the Marine Sniper designation.

One of the profiled students in this Discovery video was attached to the unit Business Insider also covered in Afghanistan in 2012. Not only did he supply the company with absurdly accurate intelligence on the enemy. He also took a couple of them out when the unit needed it most.

Those are the two primary missions of Marine Scout Snipers: Recon and targeted strikes on enemy personnel and equipment. They can be more devastating for enemy forces than a plane full of bombs.

This post was originally by Geoffrey Ingersoll and Robert Johnson

SEE ALSO: This Marine was the "American Sniper" of the Vietnam War

There are fewer than 300 active snipers in the US Marine Corps — and only four Marine sniper schools including this one at Camp Pendleton, in California.

The 32 elite students who enter the course need almost perfect physical fitness (PT) scores, expert rifle qualifications, and superior intelligence test scores

The best US mountain for every type of skier

Corbet's Couloir jackson hole

We recently ranked the best ski resorts in America, but it can be a bit tricky to figure out which one will fit you best.

So we've compiled a list of the best mountains for every type of skier.

From the adrenaline-inducing Colbert’s Couloir in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to a romantic getaway in the White Mountains, here are the best mountains for every type of traveler.

Best For Adrenaline Junkies: Jackson Hole Mountain, Teton Village, Wyoming

Jackson Hole has some intense double-diamond runs, but nothing is quite as terrifying as its Colbert's Couloir.

Named the most intense ski run in the US by Liftopia, the run starts with a massive free fall drop.

Any skier who is willing to attempt the run must start by plunging off of a cliff face onto  55-degree slope, and then immediately turn right to avoid smashing  into the face of Precambrian rock.

Needless to say, it intimidates even the most advanced skiers — and many will turn around after looking off the edge.

Best For Millionaires: Snowmass Ski Resort, Aspen, Colorado

Aspen is widely consider to be one of the world's top ski destinations, and it is home to some incredible mountains — but it is also quite expensive, and lift tickets usually cost $129

The city is often reffered to as 'Rocky Mountain playground for the rich and famous,' with its gourmet restaurants, luxurious lodge retreats, and nightlife filled with plenty of celebrity spotting.

Best For Budget Travelers: Cooper Mountain, Cooper, Colorado

Cooper Mountain has 2,465 skiable acres, 140 trails, and is a great value — season passes are $389, which is 21% less than the US average.

But its accommodations also help to make it a great destination for budget travelers.

Hotels near good ski mountains can cost almost $300 a night, but Copper offers Condo-styled accommodations. The condos can sleep plenty of people, and come equipped with kitchens so you won't have the added expense of eating out. It is also easy to walk to the ski lifts.

The most powerful person in Hollywood at every age

Most Powerful Person In Hollywood At Every Age beyonce jay z blue ivyIt's not just celebrities who have power in Hollywood: Directors, producers, writers, and agents also command authority in Tinseltown.

We came up with the most powerful person in Hollywood at every age by looking at each person's command, reputation, past and future influence, and wealth.

From Kim and Kanye's 1-year-old baby North West to 100-year-old actor and comedian Irwin Corey, these are the most powerful people in Hollywood from 1 to 100.

AGE 1: North West

Daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian

What makes her powerful: While all of Twitter had an opinion about the bold name that Kimye chose for their first child, North is developing a personality to match. Nori, as she's known, who appears with her family on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," is halfway potty-trained and loves selfies as much as her mom.

Another powerful 1-year-old: Everest Lucas is the son of "Star Wars" creator and former Lucasfilm CEO George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, chairman of the Dreamworks' board of directors.

AGE 2: Olive Barrymore Kopelman

Daughter of Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman

What makes her powerful: The famous Hollywood Barrymore dynasty welcomed a new member, Olive, in September 2012. And if Drew's Instagram is any indication, Olive is incredibly gifted. Her mom posted a photo of her daughter at the beach reading. And not just any book — "Bossypants" by Tina Fey.

AGE 3: Blue Ivy

Daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z

What makes her powerful: Nothing is too good for this power couple's little girl. Blue Ivy's second birthday was celebrated at the exotic Jungle Island in Miami; for her third, Blue got an ice sculpture with her name carved into it. Gwyneth Paltrow, who is good friends with the Knowles-Carter clan, said of Blue Ivy: "She is a powerhouse. I love her so much."

Another powerful 3-year-old: Haven Warren, daughter of Cash Warren and Jessica Alba, must be getting some great merch from her mom, who cofounded the sustainable baby and toddler product company Honest Company.

9 science-backed tricks for appearing smarter than you are

trying on glasses model hipster

Some people are indeed born smarter than others — it's genetics

But that doesn't mean you can't appear to look more intelligent.

Don't hold a beer.

People often do idiotic things after they've had too many drinks.

No wonder that even holding a beer makes you look less intelligent, according to a joint study by the University of Michigan and University of Pennsylvania.

"People who hold an alcoholic beverage are perceived to be less intelligent than those who do not, a mistake we term the imbibing idiot bias," write authors Scott Rick and Maurice Schweitzer.

Walk at the same speed as everybody else.

A study led by Boston University marketing professor Carey Morewedge found that "people use speed of movement to infer the presence of mind ... in other persons."

So if you walk faster — or slower — than the people around you, they think you're stupid.

Put on thick glasses.

Research suggests that if you're wearing glasses you'll appear less attractive, but more intelligent

Moreover, the kind of glasses matters: Thick, blocky frames make you look smarter than thin ones

Go hipster, look smart.

Rolls-Royce can customize your car in some pretty outrageous ways

Rolls-Royce Bespoke design aviator

Beyond engineering excellence, one key strength of Rolls-Royce is customization.

In previous years, a whopping 84% of Phantom customers commissioned their cars with some sort of bespoke design, for example.

Customers' ideas can get pretty wild.

The luxury brand notes that "no request is left unexplored." Its team of designers has matched leather colors to customer lipstick, sourced wood from a tree on a buyer's estate, and found ways to pack elaborate picnic sets and wine glasses into their cars.

From the unexpected demands of wealthy buyers to the special edition cars it makes to mark special occasions, here are some of the most outrageous ways you can have your Rolls made just for you.

[An earlier version of this article was written by Alex Davies.]

One wealthy customer wanted a thermos installed in the door. Rolls-Royce had to build a special door just to crash test the design, then build another for the buyer.

Another customer commissioned this hand-crafted picnic set.

Bespoke designers had to devise a way to store wine glasses in the trunk and make sure they wouldn't break while on the road.

kids on iphones

You know that naked feeling when you leave the house and you realize you forgot your phone?

We can't even imagine an hour with having access to the internet in our pockets, much less imagine our lives before the mobile internet existed (which wasn't that long ago).

And we haven't seen anything yet. The data scientists at networking company Cisco have examined how we used our mobile devices in 2014 and come up with a five-year trajectory of where this is all heading.

Some of the statistics they've uncovered are pretty mind blowing: In 2014, the world sent 30 exabytes of data across the internet, or 30 billion gigabytes.

Five years from now, in 2019, thanks to smartphones, tablets, wearables, video, and the Internet of Things, we'll send nearly 300 exabytes over the internet. That's 65 trillion photos, or 23 images per person, or 6 trillion YouTube clips, two per day for everyone.

In the next five years, the mobile internet will have a billion more users and billions more devices.

All those users and devices will cause internet traffic to grow 10-fold.

The fastest growing region is the Middle East and Africa.

Check out the $45 million Falcon 5X private jet — it has a skylight!

Dassault Falcon 5X private jet

French aircraft manufacturer Dassault's Falcon 5X private jet is fantastic.

Debuted in 2013, the plane has room for 16 passengers. It's equipped with new Snecma Silvercrest engines that Dassault says make it more fuel efficient than competitors like Bombardier's Global 5000 (by 35%) and Gulfstream's G450 (by 30%).

The price? $45 million.

That puts it well below the $65 million Gulfstream G650, still the biggest, fastest, and overall best private jet money can buy. But Dassault strikes a blow with a cabin that is actually wider and taller (albeit shorter) than that of the G650.

And, for cool points more than practicality, it even has a skylight!

[An earlier version of this article was written by Alex Davies.]

The 5X is designed to handle especially deep descents, so it can land at more airports.

It can also land with 95% of its max takeoff weight. (That number for a Boeing 777-200 is about 82%.) That means that if the 5X needs to make an emergency landing just after takeoff, it does not have to dump or burn much fuel to do it safely.

With eight passengers on board (that's half capacity), the new jet can fly 5,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.8.

3 Pierrepont Place most expensive brooklyn listing

A four-floor townhouse in New York's Brooklyn Heights neighborhood has hit the market for $40 million, making it the most expensive ever listed home in Brooklyn.

It unseats Brooklyn’s previous most expensive home — a $35 million, 25,500-square-foot townhouse in Williamsburg — by $5 million.

The mansion is nearly 17,500 square feet with 9,000 square feet of garden space. It has 16 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, and a whopping 50 rooms.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, retired banker and former president of Republic New York Corp Jeff Keil bought the property back in 1991 for $2.3 million. The WSJ reports that he wants to spend more time at his Florida home, but that “he’ll miss the large Thanksgiving gatherings — 34 people around a table — in their Brooklyn apartment.”

Time will tell if the mansion is able to sell at its staggering price point. A home in Brooklyn’s Mill Basin area that was built by a mobster and owned by a Russian heiress was ruthlessly price chopped from $30 million to $17 million after being unable to find a buyer.

Vicki Negron of Corcoran Group Real Estate has the listing.

Welcome to 3 Pierrepont Place, the new most expensive home listed in Brooklyn at $40 million.

The mansion is nearly 17,500 square feet and has four floors.

The view from the townhouse is described as cinematic with sweeping vistas of New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, the Financial District, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, and Governor's Island.

Employees reveal the best things about working at Apple (AAPL)

steve jobs apple campus memorial

Apple can be one of the most challenging places to work.

You're surrounded by the best in your industry, and given Apple's high standards there's always pressure to perform at the top of your game.

Describing it as a stressful place to work may be an understatement.

But despite the long hours of hard work, many Apple employees seem to think the pros outweigh the cons.

Based on hundreds of reviews on Glassdoor and a few Quora posts written by former employees, it sounds like Apple treats its employees extremely well.

Here's a look at why people love working at Apple.

Employees feel like their work has a big impact on the world.

The biggest perk of working at Apple, at least based on the number of reviews that mentioned it, is a feeling that your work really matters and has an impact on the world. We saw this point made in dozens of reviews from current and former Apple employees from departments throughout the company.

One former Apple employee wrote that creating "innovative products" and taking part in developing new product categories were among the most rewarding things about the job.

"This is a great opportunity to work with some really fantastic, dedicated people, who genuinely want to use technology to make the world a better place," another anonymous current employee wrote.

Source: Glassdoor (1), (2)

You get to work with really, really smart people.

Steve Jobs was fond of saying he only wanted A-level people on his staff, and plenty of current and employees seemed to appreciate having the opportunity to be surrounded by really, really smart people.

Almost every review on Glassdoor mentions how amazing the company culture is at Apple. Co-workers and the excellent work environment at Apple are constantly listed in the "Pros" section of Apple employee reviews. One current employee specifically said everything at Apple is about teamwork.

Source: Glassdoor

And you're likely to make lifelong friends.

Not only do you get to work with really smart people, but a few former Apple employees gushed about the welcoming culture at the company. One former employee wrote that there's "an amazing sense of belonging and community," while another said "where ever you go you will gain a family."

Billionaire Toys - Steve Cohen

When you run one of the world's most successful hedge funds, you can probably afford some pretty amazing stuff.

So it makes sense that Steve Cohen, with an estimated net worth of $10.3 billion, has a long list of incredible personal purchases.

Cohen started SAC Capital in 1992, and became a Wall Street legend after his firm saw returns of 70% for two consecutive years.

Cohen is known for his love of art, having spent lavish amounts on famous artwork by Pablo Picasso, Jasper Johns, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons and more. He also enjoys buying up real estate, and owns several properties, each worth millions of dollars.

In 2013, an SEC probe into insider trading allegations at SAC Capital cost Cohen $616 million, and in the past couple years, the billionaire has started unloading some of his more expensive items. Cohen himself wasn't charged, and restructured SAC Capital into a new family office firm called Point72 Asset Management.

But the SEC settlement doesn't necessarily mark the end of Cohen's extravagant spending. Cohen's still in the game – Point72 Asset Management has been doing well since its creation and pulled in $2.5 -$3 billion for 2014.

Cohen once spent $100,000 for Food Network star Guy Fieri to spend the day with him.

Source: Page Six

He's dabbled in sports – Cohen bought a 4% stake in the New York Mets for $20 million.

Source: Reuters

He also made an unsuccessful bid for the LA Dodgers, during which he hired an architect for the Dodgers stadium.
