IP Cyber Monday Macys deals 4x3

Updated 11/30/2019 at 3:30 p.m.

Cyber Monday isn't quite here yet, but wouldn't you know it, Macy's Cyber Monday starts on Sunday, and in the meantime, Macy's Black Friday deals are still rolling and shipping is free for purchases over $25, with the exception of furniture and mattresses.

It's not clear yet exactly what we'll see on sale for Macy's Cyber Monday, but we do know that it'll run from December 1 through December 2.

We'll keep watch for more Macy's Cyber Monday deals as they become available within the next day, but here are a few of the best deals happening now, followed by answers to questions that may help you prepare for the sale.

What early Cyber Monday deals are happening now at Macy's?

  1. Best mattress deal: Serta Special Edition II 11.5-inch Queen Mattress, $299 (originally $839) [You save $540]
  2. Best stand mixer deal: KitchenAid Artisan 5 Qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, $280 (originally $475) [You save $195]
  3. Best kitchen appliance deal: Instant Pot Duo Nova Black Stainless Steel 6-Qt Multi-Cooker, $60 (originally $125) [You save $65]
  4. Best tableware deal: Villeroy & Boch Amazonia Collection Bone Porcelain 5-piece Place Setting, $133 (originally $242) [You save $109]
  5. Best accessory deal: Ray-Ban Polarized Sunglasses, $142 (originally $203) [You save $61]
  6. Best vacuum deal: Dyson V-8 Animal Cord-Free Vacuum, $250 (originally $480) [You save $230]
  7. Best women's shoe deal: Sperry Women's Saltwater Duck Booties, $72 (originally $120) [You save $48]

What makes these deals great?

  1. Serta Special Edition II 11.5-inch Queen Mattress, $299 (originally $839) [You save $540] Made from a combination of coils and gel foam, this plush mattress from Serta is great for sleepers who don't want something too firm. At just $300, it's a great price for any mattress, especially one of this quality.
  2. KitchenAid Artisan 5-Qt. Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, $280 (originally $475) [You save $195] A workhorse in the kitchen, the versatile KitchenAid stand mixer can be used to make all sorts of things, from cookie dough to mashed potatoes. This 5-quart model is a great size for most kitchens and chefs, as it's not too big, not too small, and easy to use. In fact, we named it the best overall model in our KitchenAid stand-mixer buying guide for just those reasons.
  3. Instant Pot Duo Nova Black Stainless Steel 6-Qt. Multi-Cooker, $60 (originally $125) [You save $65] A great Instant Pot deal like this one is worth mentioning. This black stainless steel version of the Instant Pot Duo Nova is exclusive to Macy's, and though we haven't tested this model quite yet, we can't imagine this model would be so different from the Duo that we've tried and loved.
  4. Villeroy & Boch Amazonia Collection Bone Porcelain 5-piece Place Setting, $133 (originally $242) [You save $109] Villeroy & Boch makes some mighty fine bone china, and if you've had your eye on it, now's probably the time to stock up because it rarely goes on sale like this.
  5. Ray-Ban Polarized Sunglasses, $142 (originally $203) [You save $61] Ray-Ban's aviators are classic, with a timeless style and quality construction. You can find the same pair for the same price at Sunglass Hut, but with all of the special offers currently running at Macy's, you may be able to save more if you choose to buy these glasses there.
  6. Dyson V-8 Animal Cord-Free Vacuum, $250 (originally $480) [You save $230] Dyson's been making top-notch vacuums for decades, and even developed the world's first bag-free vacuum. The V-8 Animal is quiet,  lightweight, easily storable, and possibly the best vacuum we've ever used.
  7. Sperry Women's Saltwater Duck Booties, $72 (originally $120) [You save $48] These are our top pick for the best women's rain boots you can buy even when they're full-price, so we highly recommend checking out this deal. While already affordable, the discount makes this pair a steal.

  2. LG 43" Class FHD Smart LED HDR TV, $219.99 (originally $329.99) [You save $110] Is this the best TV out there? We'll be honest: It's not. But is it a good value for the price? The answer is yes. This entry-level LG TV features all the basics you'd want, like Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming apps built-in. Picture quality is clear but not mind-blowing, though you'll be hard-pressed to something truly incredible on a TV this large for the same price. It's compatible with Alexa and Google Home, and importantly, it's available for delivery (whereas many of Target's TV deals are pickup only).
  3. Beats Studio3 Over-Ear Wireless Headphones, $280 (originally $350) [You save $70] The Beats Studio3 Over-Ear Wireless headphones have a Fast-Fuel five-minute charge that translates to three hours of playback and an overall 40-hour battery life that ensures you can use it throughout the week without too much maintenance. RedCard holders also get an additional 5% off.
  4. Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Machine, $99.99 (originally $199.99) [You save $100] The Nespresso VertuoPlus makes freshly brewed coffee with cream as well as espressos at the touch of a button. Your savings overall are $100 — $70 off the price tag, and a $30 gift card with the purchase.
  5. As Seen on TV Power 7-Quart Air Fryer, $58.99 (originally $129.99) [You save $71] This $71 discount is the lowest deal we've seen so far, and the device functions not just as an air fryer, but also as a dehydrator, pizza oven, baking oven, roaster, or a good way to reheat foods.
  6. Dyson V8 Animal Cord-Free Vacuum $249.99 (originally $399.99) [You save $150] Whether you're tackling carpeting, hardwood floors, ceilings, stairs, or even vehicles, the Dyson V8 Animal Cord-Free Vacuum is an excellent tool to have in your cleaning arsenal. You'll find the same price at Dyson, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Best Buy.
  7. Instant Pot Duo Nova 6 quart 7-in-1, $55.21 (originally $99.99) with extra 15% off at checkout [You save $44.78] The Instant Pot Duo is our favorite multicooker. It's a super-easy way to prepare quick meals and can accommodate ribs, soups, beans, rice, poultry, yogurt, desserts, and pretty much anything else you might be craving. You'll find it for the same price at Amazon and Kohl's (plus an extra 15% off and $15 in Kohl's Cash), but it also qualifies for Target's 20%-off coupon being offered today to be used on a future shopping trip.
  8. Take 50% off select toys and buy-one-get-one 50% off on other toys Take up to 50% off the season's best and newest toys, and Target is offering additional bonuses like a buy-two-get-one-free for Disney Frozen toys.
  9. Fujifilm Instax Mini 9, $50 + free $15 Target gift card (originally $70) [You save $20] The Fujifilm Instax Mini is a perennially popular holiday gift, and so it rarely sees as good of a discount. You'll also find this price on Amazon and in a bundle at Kohl's, which is also offering $15 in Kohl's Cash and a 15%-off discount today any way you pay — though you'll have fewer color options there.
  10. Xbox One S 1 TB Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Bundle, $199.99 (originally $299.99) [You save $100, plus get a $40 gift card] The Xbox One S 1TB bundle comes with a wireless controller and the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition game. The same deal is also available at GameStop, but it does not come with the additional $40 store gift card like it does from Target.

How we selected the best deals at Target:

  • We only chose products that meet our high standard of coverage, and that we've either used ourselves or researched carefully.
  • We compared the prices against other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy and only included the deals that are the same or better (not including promotional discounts that come from using certain credit cards).
  • All deals are at least 20% off, with the occasional exception for products that are rarely discounted or provide an outsized value.

Target Black Friday FAQs:

Does Target allow in-store pick-up?

Sometimes, but you may not want to count on it. There are certain items that will be eligible for in-store pick-up, but not likely everything you'll want to buy.

What is Target's return policy?

For items purchased from November 1 through December 25, the 30-day return period will start on December 26. As usual, RedCard holders have a longer returns window.

Is Target price-matching during Black Friday?

No. Target will price-match between its online and in-store prices, but not with competitors.

However, Target will likely keep prices as close to competitors as possible, and most major retailers tend to adjust prices throughout the day to remain competitive. You just won't have 14 days to ask for a differential refund if you come across something lower.

Will RedCard holders still get 5% off purchases at Target on Black Friday?

Yes.

Are there any ways to save even more at Target on Black Friday?

As mentioned, it certainly doesn't hurt to be a RedCard holder. They typically get early access to deals, and they get an extra 5% off their purchases. You'll also get free shipping with no minimum. If you make purchases with a Target Debit Card, Credit Card, or Target Mastercard (all RedCards) you also get an additional 30 days to return a purchase.

The benefits may be slim in comparison, but it also doesn't hurt to download the Target app. Retailers with apps are known to push specific coupons or exclusive discounts to those with it downloaded already or to incentivize downloads.

Target is offering incentives for shopping on Black Friday, too. Shoppers who spend $50 (in-store or online) on November 29 get a 20%-off coupon to redeem online or in stores December 3 through December 14.

Learn more about each DNA kit:

23andMe

The 23andMe kit is one of the most in-depth at-home DNA tests you can take. Not only will it break down your ancestry, but it will also help reveal your genetic health predisposition for diseases like Parkinson's or Alzheimer's or carrier traits for diseases like cystic fibrosis and sickle cell. It can also report on sleep patterns, level of lactose intolerance, and more. If you're only interested in learning your ancestry you can buy the genetics-only kit for $20 off

AncestryDNA

$59 (Originally $99) [You save $40]

With more than 1 billion family connections, AncestryDNA is the best-selling DNA test you can buy. The service helps you discover the people and places that made you who you are by tapping into more than 1,000 regions across the world, which is more than any other DNA kit on the market.

MyHeritage DNA

MyHeritage DNA is one of the easiest DNA tests to complete. Unlike other tests that require several vials of saliva, this test can be completed in two minutes with a simple cheek swab. With a huge database of DNA matches, the test pulls data from 42 regions. Once your results are in the system, you'll be able to learn about your ancestry and potential family members you've never met.

FamilyTreeDNA

$59 (Originally $79) [You save $20]

FamilyTreeDNA offers an in-depth genetic analysis of your genetic makeup by regions as well as your lineage over time. It's also is one of the best tests for finding and connecting with distant relatives as the company's Family Matching System pairs other users with similar genetic makeup, so if you're looking for a long lost sibling, you might find them here.

How do you read with Kindle?

To see what it's like to read with a Kindle, you can first read our guide to using a Kindle, which includes expert tips and tricks.

Cyber Monday Everything you Need to know 4x3

  • Cyber Monday began as the online version of Black Friday, where online retailers offered big discounts to match their brick-and-mortar counterparts.
  • Now Cyber Monday is the biggest shopping day of the year, surpassing even Black Friday in terms of revenue and sales.
  • Cyber Monday 2019 falls on December 2. Here's everything you need to know, from start times to the best deals we're tracking.
  • To potentially save more on Cyber Monday deals this year, visit Business Insider Coupons to find the most up-to-date coupons and promo codes.

The biggest shopping day of the year is less than two weeks away. No, it's not Black Friday. It's actually Cyber Monday, the Monday following Thanksgiving.

The "holiday" was created in 2005 as the online version of the brick and mortar-focused Black Friday. But in the past few years, the event has taken on a life of its own, generating $7.9 billion in sales last year to Black Friday's $6.2 billion. You can expect your favorite online stores, from Amazon to Target and Best Buy, to offer deals. In fact, we're tracking the best Cyber Monday deals over here.

What is Cyber Monday, and where can you find the best deals? Here's everything you need to know.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving. Last year it was November 26; this year it's December 2.

Cyber Monday is the biggest online shopping day in the US. Every major online store usually offers discounts and bundles on all kinds of products. We'll be hunting down all the best Cyber Monday deals over here, so be sure to bookmark the page.

You can also follow your favorite retailers on social media, subscribe to their newsletters, or download their apps so you can stay updated about all the best deals.

What time does Cyber Monday start?

Cyber Monday deals will run around the clock, starting at 12 a.m. EST on December 2, 2019.

However, many stores will also offer discounts in the days leading up to and following Cyber Monday in what's known as Cyber Week. Last year, for example, Amazon's official Cyber Monday frenzy began the Sunday before at 8 p.m. EST, but the site ran deals throughout the preceding weekend as well.

We'll be updating start and end times for all the major retailers over here

What is the point of Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday was created to encourage people to buy their Christmas presents online, as the Monday after Thanksgiving became an increasingly popular shopping day. Over the past decade, Cyber Monday has become the biggest online shopping day in the US, raking in billions for retailers each year.

For shoppers, it's an excellent day to get a jump on your Christmas shopping or buy things for yourself, especially if you're looking for bargains. In particular, it's a great day to buy tech gadgets and older generations of big-ticket tech items. In our experiences, the latest versions of items like TVs, phones, and soundbars are just ever-so-slightly better than their predecessors, but not enough to pay the higher prices.

What sites do Cyber Monday?

If you can name any website that sells things, it's probably offering Cyber Monday deals.

Janet Alveraz, executive editor of the personal-finance publication Wise Bread, believes Amazon is one of the best places to shop, especially compared to Black Friday. "Amazon shopping, in general, tends to be better on Cyber Monday," Alveraz said. "But remember, that only holds true if you're an Amazon Prime member."

While it may be tempting to search only for new products, eBay is also an excellent place to shop on Cyber Monday. "You'll find a lot of people reselling items they just purchased on Black Friday," Alveraz told Business Insider

Major participants in Cyber Monday include:

To keep track of your favorite stores' best deals, subscribe to their online newsletters, follow their social media, and download their apps.

Are Cyber Monday deals the same as Black Friday's?

Most major stores offer both Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. However, they won't necessarily be the same deals. Last year, Cyber Monday had slightly better deals overall; shoppers saw an average of 2.5% greater savings.

Generally, Black Friday is a better day to shop for expensive, big-ticket items, while Cyber Monday is preferable for gadgets, gifts, and older-generation tech.

Make sure you plan out your purchases in advance and look through Cyber Monday ads to figure out when (and where) each product you're looking for will see the lowest price. We'll also be tracking the best Cyber Monday deals so you can plan ahead too.

Is Amazon doing Cyber Monday?

Yes, Amazon participates in Cyber Monday; last year's Cyber Monday was the biggest shopping day in its history

The site usually offers deals on Cyber Monday as well as the days before and after; last year, Amazon's Cyber Monday deals began the Sunday before. The retailer dubbed the subsequent week "Cyber Monday Deals Week" and continued to provide discounts each day.

Many of Amazon's Cyber Monday Deals are "Lightning Deals," which offer a limited quantity of items at a big discount. You can check the status bar on the left side of a product's page to see how close it is to being fully claimed before prices jump back up. Prepare to act fast on these; the most popular ones can sell out in seconds. If a lightning deal has run out, you can join its waitlist to receive a notification if the discount pops up again.

Note that Many Amazon deals are only available to Prime members, so you'll want to sign up over here. An annual membership costs $119 (slightly less if you're a student), but there are a ton of free perks in addition to access to Lightning Deals and free 2-day shipping that justify the membership fee. Here's a primer on 31 Amazon Prime benefits.

To get a feel for what's on sale, peruse our list of the site's early Cyber Monday deals on products like the Kindle Paperwhite, Fire TV Stick With Alexa Voice Remote, and more.

Does Apple do Cyber Monday?

Apple rarely discounts its own devices for Cyber Monday.

However, some third-party stores like Target and Best Buy provide "discounts" on Apple products like iPhones, Macbooks, and the like in the form of gift-card bundles or trade-in credit. You can also check eBay, Amazon Marketplace, or other resellers for refurbished versions of Apple devices, which can sell for hundreds of dollars below MSRP.

Take a look at our Apple Cyber Monday Deals hub to see the best Apple deals from last year's Cyber Monday, as well as our comprehensive Cyber Monday tech deals to see the best Apple deals from retailers like Target and Best Buy.

St. moritz ski destination

St. Moritz is many things: A holiday resort with world-class skiing, the birthplace of Alpine winter tourism, twice a home to the Winter Olympics, and a hidden gem for the one percent.

It's also, as Heidi Mitchell of Town & Country wrote, "Europe's most secretive and storied ski town."

Located in the middle of the Swiss Alps, St. Moritz has done more than popularize modern winter sports like ice cricket and snow polo — it's also spawned a number of five-star luxury hotels and top class restaurants with gourmet chefs.

Such a history has created a champagne and caviar lifestyle that the glitterati flock to every winter. Celebrities, royalty, and billionaires alike, from Kate Moss to the Swedish royal family, come for the glitz and the slopes.

Here's a glimpse into the lavish winter wonderland that is St. Moritz.

I tried every single burger at McDonald's and ranked them from worst to best

trying micdonalds

Over the course of several weeks, I made dozens of trips to various McDonald's locations, determined to taste and review every single burger on the menu.

I tried a total of 18 dishes for this assignment, taking photos of each and jotting down notes about their ingredients, taste, and appearance as I went along.

Here's every single burger at McDonald's, ranked from worst to best.

Note: Prices are based on my local New York City McDonald's location.

Hamburger — $1.39

The basic hamburger at McDonald's had one beef patty, one pickle, chopped onions, ketchup, mustard, and a toasted bun.

It was just sort of plain and a bit bland, in my opinion.

Even though this was the cheapest burger option on the menu, it still didn't feel worth it. I think I would've been happier with a delicious McDonald's apple pie, which costs about the same.

Double Hamburger — $2.89

I accidentally purchased two Double Hamburgers, but after trying one I didn't bother with the second because I simply didn't find this dish to be enjoyable.

Together, the meat patties were moist, but the overall burger felt kind of bland to me with its pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, and regular bun.

Quarter Pounder Hamburger — $5.49

The sesame-seed bun was filled with two patties, onions, ketchup, and pickles.

Overall, the dish had plenty of beef, but the Quarter Pounder Hamburger made me respect cheese more since I think it would've benefited from a slice or two of it.

I felt like without the melted slices of cheese, the onions dominated the burger and masked the flavor of the naked beef.

Quarter Pounder with Cheese — $5.59

If I hadn't taken notes on the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, I feel like I would not have remembered it. It wasn't a bad cheeseburger, but it did not feel markedly different from many others on the menu, which made it forgettable for me.

The burger came with one patty, pickles, slivered onions, two slices of cheese, ketchup, mustard, and a sesame-seed bun.

Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese — $6.69

The Double QPC came with two 1/4-pound beef patties, two slices of cheese, pickles, onions, and a sesame-seed bun.

It was not the best I've had — I felt like the charbroiled taste and onions overpowered the taste of beef. In my opinion, the burger I tried was not evenly seasoned either since the second half tasted much saltier than the first.

Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Deluxe — $6.49

The Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Deluxe had one beef patty, tomato, mayonnaise, onions, cheese, pickles, a sesame-seed bun, and lettuce.

Unsurprisingly, as you can see from the photo, I felt like the burger tasted more like lettuce than anything else. Yes, I could have easily taken it off, but I chose to review it the way it was sold to me — with a comically large piece of lettuce that barely fit into the box.

Bacon McDouble — $2.99

This burger was fine, but it wasn't my favorite. The only notes I took about the Bacon McDouble I tried were "pretty standard" and "kinda salty."

The burger comes with pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, a slice of bacon, and cheese.

McDouble — $2.29

The only physical difference between a McDouble and a Double Cheeseburger at McDonald's is that the former had one less slice of cheese than the latter.

Both had pickles, cheese, onions, ketchup, mustard, and a regular bun.

Losing that slice of cheese hurt the burger's ranking on this list, but it did put more of a focus on the meat instead of the other toppings.

Double Bacon BBQ Burger — $7.49

The burger featured two meat patties, Applewood-smoked bacon, tangy barbecue sauce, cheese, and crispy fried onions on a regular toasted bun.

After trying the single version and wishing that the flavor of the meat was more prominent, I thought that another patty would make this dish perfect. And, sure, the dual patties tasted charbroiled, but I didn't taste any strong beef flavor.

I was also disappointed that the barbecue sauce and fried onions were only in the center of the patty, so the bites around the edges were a bit on the plain side.

Bacon BBQ Burger — $5.99

The burger featured a beef patty, Applewood-smoked bacon, tangy barbecue sauce, cheese, and crispy fried onions on a regular toasted bun.

The sauce and fried onions took center stage and, because of that, I felt like the taste of the beef was almost completely lost. Still, it was pretty tasty and I appreciated the crunch of the fried onions and bacon.

Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Deluxe — $7.29

The Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Deluxe had the same charbroiled taste as some of the other burgers I tried, but it was not as overpowering.

I appreciated how balanced the toppings (tomatoes, cheese, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard) were, but I feel like the two patties could have used more salt and pepper.

Triple Cheeseburger — $3.79

This tasted like a denser Double Cheeseburger, which I guess is exactly what it is.

The three burger patties took center stage here, but not necessarily in the best way. Pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard were also present, but they did not come to participate in terms of flavor.

Ultimately, I felt the three patties threw off the ratio of burger-to-bun.

Big Mac — $5.49

The Big Mac has been the signature burger at the golden arches pretty much since it was added to the menu in the late 1960s.

It wasn't my first time trying one, but expectations going in were pretty high.

As outlined in the old jingle, the burger came with two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame-seed bun.

The lettuce was crispy and, much to my delight, no parts of the three-tiered bun were soggy after my five-minute ride home. The Big Mac sauce was familiar, both patties were evenly cooked, and the toppings were messy but tasty.

It's not a small sandwich by any means, but I found that I was surprisingly still hungry after eating it.

Double Cheeseburger — $2.69

The Double Cheeseburger was like a McDonald's Cheeseburger, only taller. The extra patty and cheese were more filling, but the taste was very similar to the original.

Cheeseburger — $1.69

The cheeseburger was simple but effective. I thought the ratio ofbun-to-patty was perfect, and there was just enough ketchup and mustard.

The lonely pickle slice could have used a friend, but I have long believed that the chopped onions that McDonald's adds are the stars of the show.

Bacon Big Mac — $6.49

As the name suggests, the Bacon Big Mac is like the classic (two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, sesame-seed bun) but with one no-brainer ingredient added: bacon.

The burger and the other components were just as good as I remembered the original being (I tried them several weeks apart), but I think the crispy bacon gave this dish an extra something special.

Double Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese — $7.69

The Double Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese seemed perfectly cooked to me.

In addition to the healthy serving of bacon, the burger had two patties, two slices of cheese, pickles, onions, and a sesame-seed bun.

It was juicy and flavorful but, in the end, it became a case of having too much of a good thing. Had it been slightly smaller, it would have taken the number-one spot for me.

Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese — $6.69

Overall, the Bacon Quarter Pounder with Cheese was one of the juiciest burgers that I tried for this taste test. The winning dish consists of a 1/4-pound beef patty, onions, pickles, two slices of cheese, a sesame-seed bun, and thick slices of bacon.

The saltiness of the bacon and beef paired nicely with sweetness of the ketchup, the pleasant bite and crunch of the onion and pickles, and the gooeyness of the cheese.

In my opinion, this still wasn't as good as a burger you'd order from a sit-down restaurant ... but by fast-food standards, it was damn near perfect.

10 flight attendants reveal the most disappointing part of their job

flight attendant

Being a flight attendant may look glamorous, but like any other job, there are downsides.

Ten flight attendants told Business Insider the most disappointing part of their job. The flight attendants work for carriers like Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, and American Airlines. They requested anonymity due to a fear of reprisal from their employers.

Here's what they said.

(The flight attendants pictured in this article are not those who were interviewed by Business Insider.)

Not enjoying international layovers

A Spirit Airlines flight attendant said she thought she would enjoy international layovers more, since the ability to see new places is one of the most appealing parts of her job.

"I don't particularly like doing them and that is a little disappointing," she said of international layovers. "I think it's because I always worry about just making it to work the next day and just making sure that I'm there and I'm present and I've gotten enough rest."

Spirit did not respond to a request for comment.

Disrespectful behavior from passengers

A Delta Air Lines flight attendant said she's disappointed that some passengers treat her poorly.

"It makes it hard to get up every day and spend every day alone in your hotel room when you're going to get yelled at by passengers for things that are out of your control," she said.

Delta did not respond to a request for comment.

Having to leave an exciting city

"The most disappointing is when you go somewhere really freaking awesome and you don't get to stay," said a flight attendant for Worldwide Jet, which charters private jets.

Worldwide Jet did not respond to a request for comment.

A lack of manners from passengers

"The most disappointing thing is how people behave on the airplane," a United Airlines flight attendant said. "It is a rarity that I get a 'please' and a 'thank you' from a passenger."

A United representative declined a request for comment.

Fatigue

"The most disappointing part is probably how tired I am and how much I'm away from home," said an Envoy Air flight attendant.

The flight attendant added that she's partly responsible for her exhausting schedule, since she lives in a different city than where her home airport is located.

Envoy did not respond to a request for comment.

"Something that I definitely didn't expect would be how fatigued flight attendants actually get," a Spirit Airlines flight attendant said. "We fly up to 16 hours a day and only require eight hours of rest in between our duty days. Most people think eight hours is sufficient, however they do not take into account that the eight hours includes deplaning, transportation to and from the hotel, waiting for hotel rooms some nights if they aren't ready."

Missing time with family and friends

A United Airlines flight attendant said she's disappointed that she has to miss out on time with friends and family, particularly during the holidays.

"Generally, I'm away from my family on those major holidays," she said, though she noted that her family finds time to get together at other times during the year.

An American Airlines flight attendant also said she was disappointed about not being able to spend the holidays with her family.

"Granted, I have spent the holidays in amazing places like London or Buenos Aires, but it would be nice to spend it with my family," she said.

"This Thanksgiving, we are thankful for the 28,000 American Airlines flight attendants who will safely transport nearly 7.5 million customers traveling with us over the holiday," an American Airlines representative told Business Insider.

"While it means that some of our team members will be away from their families over the holidays, we're incredibly appreciative of their dedication to caring for our customers, while also facilitating holiday memories for families around the world."

Being underestimated by passengers

An Alaska Airlines flight attendant said she's disappointed by the way some passengers underestimate the intelligence of flight attendants.

The job requires more than "a pretty face pouring drinks in the sky," she said.

"Our flight attendants are amazing and do a phenomenal job keeping our guests safe everyday," an Alaska Airlines representative told Business Insider.

5 common movie mistakes that veterans can spot right away

hurt locker

For decades, Hollywood has made military-based films that touch Americans' hearts with epic characters and stunning imagery.

Not every movie has a big budget, but it's the attention to detail that the veteran community respects. When their branch is accurately represented on the big screen, Hollywood scores big points.

Still, even when some filmmakers think they've done a great job, veterans notice the smallest error of detail in movies.

Here's a simple list of five movie mistakes we always seem to spot.

SEE ALSO: 5 of Hollywood's best depictions of life in the military

5. Wearing our uniforms totally wrong.

In "Jarhead 2," a senior officer (Stephen Lang) would know better than to put on the wrong color undershirt, wear gunny sleeves, and sport a cover that looks like a blooming onion. Plus, he's wearing a guard duty belt for some reason.

You know you can Google our uniforms and learn how to set everything up, right?

You could afford a talented actor like Stephen Lang, but researching Marine Corps uniforms wasn't part of the budget? (Image from Universal Pictures' "Jarhead 2: Field of Fire.")

4. "Flagging" your boys.

Any person on earth can tell you that pointing a weapon at one of your friends is a bad thing, and pulling the trigger in their direction is even worse. In the infantry, we're always training to maneuver on the enemy without pointing our rifles at our own people.

1987's "Full Metal Jacket" showcased a prime example of "flagging" as "Doc" runs in front of his squad and they shot around him. Every veteran watching this scene is shaking their head.

3. Mis-worn berets.

See anything wrong with the image below? Shy of the obviously awful salute, her beret shouldn't be that low and the back of it is supposed to be flush with the skull. It makes the beret look better if you shave off the fluff.

Several films are guilty of this common mistake, but we like looking at Jessica Simpson.

Jessica Simpson does look good in the beret, though. (Image from Sony Pictures' "Private Valentine: Blonde and Dangerous.")

2. One too many flags.

In 2008's "The Hurt Locker," Col. Cambridge appears to have more patriotism than any other soldier in the Army.

There's only supposed to be the one flag on his right shoulder — not two. The "field" is supposed to be facing forward. You know, like someone running into battle with the flag.

But this colonel decided to show up to work supporting America twice.

Col. Cambridge should have known better. (Image from Summit Entertainment's "The Hurt Locker.")

1. Saluting in combat zone.

Saluting officers stateside — or when you're facing an epic ass-chewing — is an absolute must. But salute an officer in the middle of a war zone in real life, and you just might get him or her killed by an enemy sniper.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW: 'Project Runway' hosts and judges

project runway hosts tim gunn

  • In "Project Runway," designers compete against each other for a grand prize, which gives them an opportunity to start their own fashion line.
  • The show premiered in 2004 and season 18 begins in December.
  • In 2018, contestant mentor Tim Gunn and host Heidi Klum, who were with the series since its inception, announced they were leaving "Project Runway."
  • Klum and Gunn are now working on a new show, "Making The Cut," which premieres on Amazon in 2020.

Whether you've watched "Project Runway" since season one or have become a recent fan of the high-stakes, high-fashion TV series, you're probably familiar with what it means to "make it work," and you may or may not get a little too excited when the designers get 30 minutes to pick their textiles at Mood fabric store.

One thing is obvious about the fashion competition reality show "Project Runway," though: It wouldn't be anything without the personas that are its judges and hosts.

"Project Runway"premiered in 2004 on Bravo, and its original host was Heidi Klum. The original judges were Nina Garcia, now the editor-in-chief of ELLE, and fashion designer Michael Kors. Tim Gunn was the contestants' mentor. The show was on Bravo from 2004 to 2008, then it was shown on Lifetime from 2009 through 2017. It made its return to Bravo for season 17, which premiered in 2019, and season 18 begins December 5.

Through the years, the show has changed, and so have the hosts and judges. Even Tim Gunn, whose "make it work" mantra became an iconic part of the franchise, left the show after the 16th season.

Keep reading for a look at the show's current panel of judges, as well as a look at where the originals are now.

Tim Gunn joined "Project Runway" in 2004 as a mentor to the designers.

Tim Gunn joined "Project Runway" as a mentor to the show's contestants in 2004, according to Bravo.

Prior to his on-air role, he worked as chief creative officer at fashion company Liz Claiborne Inc., and he's also taught at Parsons the New School of Design, according to an AdWeek interview.

Early on in "Project Runway," Gunn became known for his "make it work" mantra. In season two, one contestant, Santino Rice, was caught impersonating Gunn and his now-iconic sayings in the designer's workroom.

Gunn left "Project Runway" before season 17 premiered in 2018, but he still has more "make it work" moments up his sleeves.

In 2018, Tim Gunn announced his departure from "Project Runway" after 16 seasons of inspiring and guiding the show's contestants.

In a statement to Bravo, he said: "I am grateful to 'Project Runway' for putting me on a path I never, in my wildest dreams, thought my career would take me!"

He also hinted at future endeavors, saying: "'Runway' has led to incredible opportunities and I am currently at work on some new projects that I am very excited to share with you soon. I wish the show and everyone much success always."

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn have been collaborating on a new fashion competition series for Amazon, called "Making the Cut," which is going to be released in 2020.

Heidi Klum was the host of "Project Runway."

Former supermodel and Victoria's Secret Angel Heidi Klum joined "Project Runway" in its first season in 2004 as its host and one of the judges.

Heidi Klum is currently working on a new show with Tim Gunn.

Since joining "Project Runway" as a host, Klum has taken on other business ventures and roles, like hosting "America's Got Talent" and partnering with grocery chain Lidl on her clothing line, Esmera by Heidi Klum, according to Forbes.

In September 2018, Klum made a post on Instagram where she announced her farewell to "Project Runway."

"After 16 incredible seasons, I am saying 'Auf Wiedersehen' to 'Project Runway,' a show that I was honored to host and help create," she wrote in the post.

Her Instagram caption also announced her next journey with Tim Gunn: "I'm most excited that my journey with my dear friend and colleague, @timgunn, is far from over. We will be partnering with Amazon for a new show, and we're excited for everyone to see what we're designing next!"

"Making the Cut,"which filmed its first episode in Paris this summer, pits 12 entreprenuers and designers against each other as they compete to take their brands to the next level. The winner will get $1 million for their company.

Designer Michael Kors was an outspoken judge on "Project Runway" for 10 seasons.

Michael Kors entertained fans for 10 seasons of "Project Runway" with his brutally honest critiques of contestants' designs.

Michael Kors left a legacy of quotable moments on "Project Runway" and continues to design for his eponymous fashion label.

Kors told People in a 2018 interview that he was supportive of the new "Project Runway" hosts and judges who were announced for season 17.

He continues to lead his fashion brand, Michael Kors, as the chief creative officer.

Nina Garcia was the fashion director at ELLE magazine when she first joined "Project Runway" as a judge in 2004.

In April 2008, Garcia became editor-at-large at ELLE, and in 2012, was named creative director of Marie Claire. In 2017, she returned to ELLE as editor-in-chief.

In an interview with The Cut, Garcia said, "'Project Runway' came at a pivotal moment in my career. The show was like the eye of the storm."

Nina Garcia, now editor-in-chief at ELLE, continues to judge on "Project Runway."

Garcia has been judging on "Project Runway" since 2004. She is the only original judge to continue on the show, but based on her social media posts, she and former "Project Runway" co-judge Michael Kors remain close friends.

Zac Posen replaced Michael Kors as a judge on season 11.

Fashion designer Zac Posen replaced Michael Kors as the fashion designer judge on "Project Runway"starting in season 11

He was also a guest judge on the third and fourth seasons of "Project Runway," according to the Hollywood Reporter, and he judged on "Project Runway All Stars" from 2014 to 2018.

Zac Posen left "Project Runway" on season 16 and recently closed his fashion label.

Zac Posen's last season as a judge on "Project Runway" was season 16, which was also the show's final season with Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn.

In a statement published on Bravo's website, Zac Posen said: "Working alongside Heidi, Nina, and Tim as a judge for six seasons of 'Project Runway' was one of the greatest experiences of my career. I will cherish the opportunity the show gave me to learn from and grow with my co-judges, the producers, crew, and designers."

In 2016, he collaborated with Delta Airlines to design new uniforms, according to the Zac Posen official website.

In November 2019, he announced he was shutting down his fashion label, which he'd started in 2001.

Supermodel Karlie Kloss took over "Project Runway" hosting duties after Heidi Klum.

The show's new host, Karlie Kloss, kicked off season 17 and its return to Bravo, according to Variety. She will be at the helm again in season 18. Kloss is a supermodel who's also known for her organization, Kode With Klossy, which creates opportunities for young women to learn how to code.

Christian Siriano, who won "Project Runway" in season four, is now a mentor on the show.

Christian Siriano was just 22 when he won season four of "Project Runway." Now, the award-winning designer is the one telling contestants how to "make it work" in his role as a mentor to the show's contestants.

Fans who remember Siriano when he was on "Project Runway" as a contestant know his catchphrase is describing successful fashions as "fierce." Someone even made this YouTube video of Siriano saying the word 46 times throughout season four of the show.

Journalist Elaine Welteroth joins Nina Garcia as a "Project Runway" judge with a background in media.

Former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth joined the "Project Runway" panel of judges for season 17, according to Bravo. She will return for season 18.

Designer Brandon Maxwell, whose clothes have been worn by Meghan Markle and Michelle Obama, is also a judge on "Project Runway."

Designer Brandon Maxwell launched his line of women's ready-to-wear fashions in 2015, according to Bravo. His designs have been worn by Meghan Markle, Michelle Obama, and Oprah, and he joined the "Project Runway" judges panel for season 17.

In the words of Heidi Klum, "in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day you're out."

While most of the show's original star judges have left, the current group of judges and hosts prove the show must go on. "Project Runway" fans will always have memories of their favorite judges from the earlier seasons of the show. Seasons eight through 16 are available for streaming on Hulu, and season 18 returns December 5.

Delta air lines

Black Friday is perhaps the single most important day of the year for US retailers, even as Black Friday.

Last year, US retailers set a record with $6.22 billion in Black Friday business in online sales alone.

With the online component, Black Friday continues to include more than just electronics and toys. Even airlines have been jumping on board with sales and specials of their own.

So far, deals are rather sparse, but we expect more to be announced as Black Friday and Cyber Monday get closer.

We'll be updating this list as the world's airlines announce their Black Friday sales, so be sure to check back and refresh.

In the meantime, scroll down to find the best airline Black Friday and Cyber Monday flight deals of 2019.

Delta

Delta is offering a ton of Black Friday deals starting on Tuesday, November 26 (the airline is calling it "Takeoff Tuesday").

The airline is offering cut-rate sales on a ton of individual routes throughout its network, on both domestic US and international flights.

To get the best deals, book by Sunday, December 1. The travel periods depend on the route, but are generally in December, January, or February — a few include days in March and April, too.

  • Los Angeles–Milan, Italy for $639 round-trip.

Delta's also offering a Black Friday deal on vacation packages. You can get up to $350 off or 35,000 bonus miles when you book a vacation package. That's in addition to the usual savings from booking a flight and hotel together as a package.

Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus, the Irish flag carrier, is offering up to $100 off round-trip flights  in economy from the US and Canada to Ireland and Europe, and $200 off business class for the same flights.

The airline says that the prices will be reflected in search results. Of course, because airline pricing models are incredibly complex and opaque, it's hard to tell how the discounts are being applied.

However, a few sample searches found some stellar prices, including the low $300s from New York to destinations in Ireland and the UK.

Book by December 3 for travel between January 1 and March 8, 2020.

You can also connect through Reykjavik and fly to other destinations in Europe, depending on your origin city.

Aeromexico

Aeromexico is offering a handful of discounted flights for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Some deals are better than others — for instance, a $325 round-trip flight from New York to Mexico City is a solid deal, while an advertised $1,110 flight from Houston to Lima is far from competitive.

The best thing to do is check Aeromexico's promotion page and explore the various routes and prices to see if something works for you, and then price-compare on Google Flights.

Occasionally, you can score an incredible deal on business class — sometimes it's around the same price as coach — so make sure to search for that too. That's how I got to fly to Santiago, Chile in business class last summer, which was a fantastic experience

Click here to explore Aeromexico Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

Hawaiian Airlines

Hawaiian Airlines is also advertising a Black Friday sale, although it hasn't offered specifics on pricing or dates.

If you're interested in traveling to Hawaii, the best thing to do would be visit the Black Friday sale page and start searching for flights to see if you can find a deal.

Click here to search Hawaiian Airlines' Black Friday deals.

Air France

Instead of discounts, Air France is offering triple miles for its Flying Blue frequent flyer members on round-trip flights between the US and Paris.

Book from now until December 2, and travel between December 7 and March 31, 2020 to take advantage of the deal.

Click here to book Air France flights as part of the triple miles promotion.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

KLM — which is co-owned with Air France by the larger Air France-KLM group — is offering a similar promotion for Flying Blue frequent flyer members.

Earn triple Flying Blue miles on round-trip flights from the US and Amsterdam when you book by December 2, and travel between December 7 and March 31, 2020.

Click here to book KLM flights as part of the triple miles promotion.

La Compagnie

La Compagnie, a boutique all-business class French airline, is offering a pre-Black Friday sale.

Fly round-trip between Paris and New York in business class for just $1,000 if you book by November 26 — although the deal was supposed to end, the promo page is still live, so it's definitely worth checking to see if you can still snag a great price. The fares are valid on travel between now and April 30, subject to availability.

La Compagnie often offers competitive business class fares, but it's rare to see them go below $1,500.

Click here to book La Compagnie flights for $1,000 round-trip.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Black Friday deals

This deal runs now through December 1.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is one of Samsung's latest and greatest flagship smartphones, and it has a whole lot to offer. For example, you'll get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, along with 8GB of RAM and an impressive 256GB of storage. Along with those high-end specs, you'll also get a 6.3-inch screen with a small hole-punch notch, and an excellent camera.

Safe to say, if you're in the market for a high-end phone, this is the way to go, especially given the discount you can get on Black Friday. You'll also get a free pair of Galaxy Buds, which are well-rated wireless earbuds.

To get the Note 10 for just $309.99, you will need to trade in an eligible, recently released phone — older phones can also be traded in, but you'll get less money back and end up with a smaller discount.

If you do not trade in a phone at all, you will still get a $200 discount and free Galaxy Buds, though, which is still a good deal. We recommend clicking in to see what you can get.

Samsung Q80R QLED TV Black Friday deals

This deal is available now, but the end date is unknown.

Samsung's QLED tech allows for bright, vivid colors, and when combined with local dimming, you'll get deep black levels and a high level of contrast too.

Safe to say, this is easily one of the better TVs you can get. The 55-inch model of the TV is now on sale for $1,299.99, which is $700 off its normal price.

Sure, it's probably not the best choice for gamers, but the laptop is still more than powerful enough for word processing, web browsing, and so on. It's even more impressive given the $300 discount.

Macbook Pro

Updated 11/29/2019 at 2:44 p.m.

Black Friday is officially here, and it's undoubtedly the best time of year to pick up a new MacBook on a sweet discount.

Whether it's the brand-new MacBook Air or one of the many different MacBook Pro laptops you're looking to save some cash on, there are discounts aplenty.

In terms of brand-new products, we're surprisingly seeing deep price cuts on 2019 MacBook Air models. With sale prices starting at $899.99, you can get the new Air for close to the same reasonable price as the original model. The historically low price arguably made the original Air among the most iconic laptops in history.

There are also some great deals on the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and incredible deals on the now discontinued 15.4-inch MacBook Pro, which was just replaced by the brand-new 16-inch model with its much-improved keyboard. Luckily, the new 16-inch laptop is also getting decent discounts.

Regardless of which type of MacBook you're looking for, now is the time to save big on your next Apple laptop, and honestly, one of the only times of the year we see any MacBook deals at all.

Best MacBook deals for Black Friday 2019:

  1. Apple MacBook Air 2019 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB) $899.99 (originally $1,099.99) at Best Buy [You save $200]
  2. 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB) $1,099.99 (originally $1,299.99) [You save $200]
  3. 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 512GB $2,199.99 (originally $2,399.99) [You save $200]
  4. 15.4-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 256GB) $1,999.99 (originally $2,399.99) [You save $400]

All of these MacBook deals also come with one year of the Apple TV Plus streaming service free, a promotion that Apple is pushing across almost all of its retail partners and in-store.

Apple is also running a shopping event on Black Friday, during which you'll get up to a $200 gift card when you buy select products. If you buy a MacBook Air, you'll get a $100 Apple Store gift card, and if you get a MacBook Pro or iMac, you'll get a $200 Apple Store gift card.

Keep this article bookmarked throughout the Black Friday shopping season, as we'll be updating it regularly with the latest MacBook deals and keep scrolling to read more about why the best deals are worth your time and money.

MacBook Air (2019) Black Friday Deals

The new MacBook Air design (model number MVFH2LL/A) has come a long way since its 2018 debut, particularly in its pricing. Apple released the laptop at an eye-watering four-figure price, and it didn't come down far from that last year.

However, earlier this year, the company dropped the price down much closer to that of the popular original model. Now, for Black Friday, the MacBook Air is on sale for $899, which is awfully close to the same great low price of the original model, which became a household name and was seen on college campuses and in coffee shops worldwide.

Not much has changed internally about the device, which is fine (aside from the divisive, error-prone keyboard, which isn't as fine). The fanless Intel Core processor inside will churn through most basic tasks with ease, it offers just enough memory at the base level, and you won't find many laptops at this price with Thunderbolt 3 ports, fingerprint login, and a beyond-HD display.

At the time of writing, the lowest price on an entry-level MacBook Air is excruciatingly close to what the original model sold at for years: $899.

Get the Apple MacBook Air 2019 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB) from B&H Photo, $899 (originally $1,099) [You save $200]

13-inch MacBook Pro (2019) Black Friday Deals

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is now in its third iteration (model number MUHN2LL/A) and features the Apple Touch Bar with Touch ID. Here's where you'll see the full-fat Intel Core processors at play, starting with the 8th-generation Core i5 and going up from there. With that, this is the 13-inch Apple laptop you'll want if you edit photos and video or do other intense tasks.

The laptop starts with the same 128GB solid-state drive (SSD) and 8GB of memory as the MacBook Air, which can be expanded via one or both of its Thunderbolt 3 ports. However, just be wary of the keyboard, which you've likely heard about. Luckily, it's now well covered by a warranty for replacements should keys stop responding or get stuck — both have happened to many.

Regardless, if a powerful 13-inch MacBook is what you seek, you've found it. We've found 13-inch MacBook Pro models going for as low as $1,099 for Black Friday.

Get the 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB) from Best Buy, $1,099.99 (originally $1,299.99) [You save $200]

Get the 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i5, 8GB, 128GB) from B&H Photo, $1,099.99 (originally $1,299.99) [You save $200]

16-inch MacBook Pro (2019) Black Friday Deals

This here is the brand-spanking-new MacBook Pro (model number MVVL2LL/A) that increases the usual 15.4-inch screen size to an even 16 inches on the diagonal, upping the pixel resolution along with it. This laptop also has a few other major changes.

Most importantly, this is the first modern Apple laptop to use an entirely different keyboard than the infamous "Butterfly" key switch design that debuted in 2016. Known as the "Magic Keyboard," naturally, this keyboard uses traditional scissor switches inside that are far more reliable and less prone to stuck or nonresponsive keys — at least that's what Apple promises.

As we said, the display resolution gets a bump up to 3,072 x 1,920 pixels, or 226 pixels per inch, backed up by the latest in AMD Radeon Pro dedicated graphics and a 6-core Intel Core i7 processor to start. Also included on the starting spec sheet are a 512GB SSD and 16GB of memory.

Couple all of that with improved speakers and microphones as well as four Thunderbolt 3 ports, and you have Apple's most powerful and versatile laptop to date. For Black Friday, we've seen starting prices as low as $2,249.

Get the 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 512GB) from B&H Photo, $2,199.99 Silver only (originally $2,399.99) [You save $200]

Get the 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 512GB) from Amazon, $2,188.92 with Prime (originally $2,399.99) [You save $211.07]

15.4-inch MacBook Pro (2019) Black Friday Deals

What might be a best-kept Apple deals secret is that, when a new model supersedes a recently released one, the company undoubtedly has loads of stock that it's looking to burn through to make room for more units of the new laptop.

In this case, that would be the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro of 2019 (model number MV902LL/A), which has been discontinued in lieu of the new 16-inch model.

Featuring nearly as powerful hardware inside as its successor, the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro will enjoy excellent deals to the tune of hundreds off the original list price. With that in mind, you're getting a 9th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and last-generation AMD Radeon Pro dedicated graphics to start, paired with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD — all behind a perfectly suitable 2,880 x 1,800-pixel display.

Of course, this all includes the divisive Butterfly keyboard, but Apple buoys that concern with a hardy replacement warranty.

Get the 15.4-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 256GB) $1,999.99 (originally $2,399.99) at PC Richard & Son [You save $400]

Get the 15.4-inch Apple MacBook Pro 2019 (Intel Core i7, 16GB, 256GB) $2,109.00 (originally $2,399.99) at Adorama [You save $380]

What brand of TV is the best?

To find the best TV brand for you, you'll first want to figure out your price range: TCL and Insignia sell a number of widely recommended budget TVs, while Samsung, Sony, and LG are better known for high-end devices.

If you plan on using your TV's native interface (rather than connecting a streaming stick), you should also research various brands' operating systems. LG's smart TVs run the company's voice-enabled, highly advanced WebOS, while TCL's TVs run the Roku interface.

You'll also want to consider the resolution you're looking for, the size you want, and the number of ports you need (if you plan on connecting a lot of peripherals). — Monica Chin

Will TV prices drop after Christmas?

Some TVs may see lower prices after Christmas than they do on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. But keep in mind that Cyber Monday is the only day of the year when just about every television is certain to see a discount. It's possible that the TV you want will keep its low price through the new year — but this won't be the case for all TVs, so make sure you've done your research if you plan to sit Cyber Monday out. — Monica Chin

  • Looking for more great deals? Check out our Apple Cyber Monday deals and the rest of our Cyber Monday coverage on Insider Picks.

The Apple Watch is our favorite smartwatch, but it is expensive. Luckily, for Cyber Monday, several Apple Watch models are being discounted.

You can find deals on the Series 3, Series 4, and Series 5 versions of the Apple Watch.

Naturally, the older Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 4 are getting the largest discounts, and they've been selling out faster than the Series 5. You can still find a few deals, though.

Because it's so new, the Apple Watch Series 5 has the smallest discount, but it is still a good deal, as it's rarely on sale.

Best Apple Watch deals for Cyber Monday 2019:

  1. Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular, $229 (originally $379) [You save $150]
  2. Apple Watch Series 4 GPS, $299 (originally $349) [You save $50]

The cellular model of the Apple Watch Series 3 is still on sale, even though the deal on the GPS-only model sold out. At about $230, it's a good deal.

It has excellent fitness tracking, a heart rate monitor, a slick modern design, and great app support.

The cellular version can connect to your cellular network so you can leave your phone at home. With a data plan, you can use the Apple Watch to take and make phone calls and messages without needing to have your phone in range.

If this deal runs out, you can always buy the Series 3 from Apple directly and get a $25 Apple Store gift card with it.

Get the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular 38mm from Walmart, $229 (originally $379) [You save $150]

Apple Watch Series 4 GPS

The Apple Watch Series 4 is $50 off for Cyber Monday. It's just one year old, and its edge-to-edge screen makes it look even more modern than the Series 3. The smartwatch has several great new features that weren't included on the Series 3, including an EKG heart monitor for enhanced fitness and health tracking.

Best Buy is discounting a range of Apple Watch Series 4 models by $50, which is a decent discount. Although it's not the newest model, it's still an excellent smartwatch.

Get the Apple Watch Series 4 GPS 40mm from Best Buy, $299 (originally $349) [You save $50]

Get the Apple Watch Series 4 GPS 44 from Best Buy, $339 (originally $379) [You save $40] (in-store pickup only)

Apple Watch Series 4 Cellular

The cellular model of the Apple Watch Series 4 offers all the same great fitness-tracking features as the GPS-only version, plus it can connect to your cellular network, making it easy to get calls and messages without needing to have your phone nearby. With this $100 discount, it's a solid option.

Get the Apple Watch Series 4 44mm Cellular from Best Buy, $379 (originally $449) [You save $100]

Apple Watch Series 5 GPS

The Apple Watch Series 5 is the newest version with a new always-on display. It also has a built-in compass. Just like previous Apple Watch models, it excels at tracking workouts and has the EKG heart monitor.

Even though the discount is just $20, the fact that this very new Apple device is on sale at all is a big deal. It's the best smartwatch in our buying guide, and we think it's a top pick for women who want a smartwatch.

Get the Apple Watch Series 5 GPS 44mm from Amazon, $409 (originally $429) [You save $20]

Get the Apple Watch Series 5 GPS 44mm from B&H, $409 (originally $429) [You save $20]

Apple Watch Series 5 Cellular

The cellular model of the Apple Watch Series 5 is also on sale for Cyber Monday. It offers the same great features as the standard Apple Watch Series 5, but adds cellular connectivity.

The device costs a little more than the standard GPS model of the Apple Watch Series 5, but if you like the idea of being able to leave your phone at the home, it's a good choice. Also, the $30 discount is respectable for such a new device.

Does Apple do Cyber Monday?

Apple usually doesn't have Cyber Monday deals, but this year, it's offering gift cards for the Apple Store when you buy certain products.

Of course, these aren't straight discounts on the products themselves, but if you want to buy even more Apple merch in the near future, having that gift card will be a blessing. Most of the other deals in this article are better ones, but there are a few products at the Apple Store that aren't getting discounts elsewhere. We've listed the deals below.
