11 scientific signs that you're falling in love

couple

Knowing you're in love feels different for everyone. Some have been in love often and know the feeling well, and others may be not so sure if it's love or just a deep infatuation.

Luckily, your body has some pretty sneaky ways of tipping you off to whether these feelings for your partner are more than just a passing phase. Keep an eye out for these tell-tale signs the next time you catch yourself wondering if you're actually in love.

You can't stop staring at them.

If your partner has ever caught you staring at them lovingly, it could be a sign that you're head over heels. Eye contact means that you're fixated on something, so if you find that your eyes are fixed on your partner, you may just be falling in love.

Studies have also found that couples who lock eyes report feeling a stronger romantic connection than those who don't. It goes the other way too: when a study had strangers lock eyes for minutes at a time, they reported romantic feeling towards each other.

You feel like you're high.

It's completely normal to feel out of your mind when falling for someone.

A study from the Kinsey Institute found that the brain of a person falling in love looks the same as the brain of a person who has taken cocaine. You can thank dopamine, which is released in both instances, for that feeling.

This is a good explanation for why people in new relationships can act absolutely nonsensically.

You always think about them.

If you love someone, you may feel like you can't get them off of your mind. That's because your brain releases phenylethylamine, aka the "love drug" when you fall in love with someone.  This hormone creates the feeling of infatuation with your partner.

You may be familiar with the feeling because phenylethylamine is also found in chocolate, which may explain why you can't stop after just one square.

sylvester schneider owner of zum schneider restaurant and the man behind the event took the stage with his band msl franzi and theja ja jas

Not only is fall known for its stunning foliage, great travel rates, and pumpkin-spiced treats — it's famous for festivals like Oktoberfest.

However, if traveling to Munich, Germany, for the famous beer fest is too expensive, there are a few versions right here in the US that aren't too far off the mark.

Keep scrolling to see the 10 most authentic Oktoberfest celebrations in the US.

Prost!

Frankenmuth Oktoberfest in Frankenmuth, Michigan

When: September 14 - 17

Frankenmuth still carries the same charm it had when it was established as a Bavarian mission colony for Lutherans back in 1845. The town is referred to as Michigan's Little Bavaria, and really looks the part.

As for its Oktoberfest celebration, the mayor of Munich once officially sanctioned it. As the only event outside of Munich to receive such an honor, it's one of the most authentic Oktoberfests in the US, filled with authentic German music, food, and, of course, Hofbräuhaus München beer.

Munich on the East River in New York City, New York

When:

German restaurant Zum Schneider sets up a giant tent along the East River in NYC every year, which they say is the largest Oktoberfest celebration in New York City. Created by Sylvester Schneider, a real-live German who takes the stage with his band, Mösl Franzi and the Ja Ja Ja's, the food, music, and atmosphere could not be more authentic.

Linde Oktoberfest in Tulsa, Oklahoma

When: October 19 - 22

Since 1978, Linde Oktoberfest has featured authentic German bands, arts and crafts, cuisine, as well as midway rides, chicken dances, and the highly anticipated Dachshund Dash. This year, it will include a live performance by German band Das Glockenspiel.

Apple party

Apple's annual update to iPhone software is coming on September 19.

Next Tuesday, Apple will release iOS 11 to everyone with a modern iPhone, it announced at its new iPhone launch event.

iOS 11 includes new features, redesigned shortcuts, and a new kind of software called ARkit that will enable the iPhone's camera to integrate graphics into the real world.

Developers and early adopters have already been using the software that will be powering the iPhone X right now. Business Inisder has testing using iOS 11 for months. Here are the 13 biggest changes we've found:

NOW CHECK OUT: It's not just you — apps are taking up way more space on your iPhone

1. A redesigned Control Center lets you swipe up to find the settings you use most often, and now it's customizable.

2. Apple has changed the screenshot workflow, and now you can make screen-recording videos, too. Now screenshots go into the lower corner, and you can mark them up before sharing them. We used this feature to help put together this article.

This is what screenshots look like on an iPad.

3. There are a lot of Siri improvements in the latest version of iOS, but you'll first notice that its voice has changed to be more realistic.

Tim Cook Apple event iPhone X

Apple unveiled not one, but three new iPhones at its hardware event on Tuesday.

The iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus join a slew of new products and services from Apple, many of which are set to roll out as early as this Friday.

Along with the new phones, Apple announced its first foray into wireless charging, new facial-recognition technology, and a 4K Apple TV. Plus, Apple finally added a cellular connection to its new Apple Watch Series 3.

Here are all the things Apple announced at Tuesday's event:

SEE ALSO: Apple announces 3 new iPhones, a 4K Apple TV, and the Apple Watch 3

Apple announced its latest and greatest iPhone, the iPhone X.

The new iPhone X— pronounced "iPhone ten"— features a strikingly different design from its predecessors like the iPhone 7. It has a 5.8-inch screen that Apple calls a "Super Retina Display," which utilizes a superior screen technology called OLED. The iPhone X comes in just two colors for now: black, and white.

You can preorder the iPhone X on October 27. It ships on November 3, and has a starting price of $999 for 64GB of storage.

There are also two more new iPhones: iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

Like its predecessor the iPhone 7, the iPhone 8 comes in two varieties: a standard 4.7-inch model, and a larger 5.5-inch "Plus" model. Apple is offering the two iPhone 8 models in three colors: silver, matte black, and a new gold color. Both the iPhone 8 and the 8 Plus have a glass back and both support the Qi wireless charging standard.

The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus start at $699 and arrive on September 22.

The Apple Watch Series 3 is Apple's third-generation smartwatch.

Apple Watch Series 3 is the first Apple Watch, and the first Watch with cellular built in. The watch can make and receive calls allowing you to leave your phone at home, and will have the same number as your iPhone. The new watch comes in three colors: a new gold aluminum finish, silver, and space gray.

Apple Watch Series 3 will be available to order on Friday and will start at $329 — the watch with cellular will cost $399. It will be available a week later, on September 22.

GUNDLACH: The dollar is overdue for a rally

$

Screen Shot 2017 09 12 at 4.07.01 PM

DoubleLine Capital Founder Jeff Gundlach held his quarterly webcast on global markets and the economy on Tuesday.

The main takeaways included:

  • The dollar is overdue for a rally, even after many investors inaccurately believed that it would rise because the Fed was raising rates.
  • Commodities are very cheap compared to equities, and this is great for investors looking for "long-term secular timing."
  • On politics, President Donald Trump would likely deliver 'tax-reform lite,' and we will have to accept that North Korea is armed with nuclear weapons.
  • On bitcoin, Gundlach said: "I'm going to let this mania go on without me."

In his second-quarter webcast in June, Gundlach advised short-term stock traders to raise cash, and warned that low volatility should not be seen as a new template for the market.

A little over a month later, he told Reuters that he had bought S&P 500 put options in a bet that volatility would rise. The trade, he said, was "like free money." Volatility spiked briefly early in August but has remained near historic lows.

Gundlach's flagship fund has also been in the news. The Wall Street Journal reported in August that assets under management at DoubleLine's Total Return Bond Fund fell 13% from their peak last September to $54 billion at the end of July.

Gundlach, who recently joined Twitter as @TruthGundlach, criticized the story before it was published. He later told Bloomberg he was reducing positions in the firm's funds to invest in higher-quality credit assets, which could be costly to performance in the short term.

Here are highlights of the webcast:

Fund performance

Gundlach began by addressing the Wall Street Journal's story on his flagship fund's performance.

He said that DBLTX — the DoubleLine Total Return Fund — outperformed the Bloomberg Barclays Aggregate Index, its benchmark.

Returns are "actually better on an absolute risk-adjusted basis," he said.

'We are not really bullish on bonds.'

Gundlach moved on to the European Central Bank, which has taken a more hawkish tilt compared to the doldrums of negative interest rates.

The German 10-year yield is set to move higher when the European Central Bank starts tightening, he said.

'This is what I mean by wacko season.'

The spread between junk bonds in Europe and Treasurys in the US has come down as the investors bought the much riskier corporate debt.

"Which of these should you want to own?"

Top 20 flex players for Week 2 of your fantasy league

$

Le'Veon Bell

Week 1 of fantasy football season is in the books, and it was a strange one. With David Johnson's debilitating wrist injury and a number of surprising offensive performances, there could be a flurry of transactions in your league this week.

The first week of play is often unpredictable, but many of this year's top performers were especially unexpected. A pair of Kansas City Chiefs, Kareem Hunt and Alex Smith, were the most valuable players in PPR leagues, and a whopping four defenses – Los Angeles, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Philadelphia – ranked inside the top 20.

Lost in the shuffle were many of the game's top flex options. While several of these players underperformed by a wide margin, it's too early to draw any definitive conclusions; even in a 16-game season, one contest is too small of a sample size. Below, check out the NFL's top 20 flex players – running backs, wide receivers and tight ends – ranked according to projections for Week 2 and overall outlook.

20. Todd Gurley, RB

Team: Los Angeles Rams

Week 1 stats: 40 rushing yards, 56 receiving yards, 5 receptions, 1 TD

One thing to know: With 19 rushes and six targets, Gurley's performance against the Colts was inefficient, but he still provided solid value thanks to pure volume. Washington's run defense isn't much better than the Indianapolis unit.

19. Michael Crabtree, WR

Team: Oakland Raiders

Week 1 stats: 83 receiving yards, 6 receptions

One thing to know: With over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns in 2016, the nearly 30-year-old Crabtree seems to be improving with age. He should get plenty of targets going up against the Jets this week.

18. Tyreek Hill

Team: Kansas City Chiefs

Week 1 stats: 5 rushing yards, 133 receiving yards, 7 receptions, 1 TD

One thing to know: One of the fastest players in the league, Hill clocked in at over 22 miles per hour during one game against the Denver Broncos last fall. We can't expect a repeat of last week's monster performance, but we can expect plenty of targets and solid value.

Seattle Washington

Zillow, a leading real estate and rental marketplace, has put out a list of the housing markets where home sellers are cashing out on record home values.

"Every city on this list has been growing extremely fast over the past decade, with the majority passing peak home value hit during the housing bubble," said Zillow Chief Economist Dr. Svenja Gudell. "It's extremely difficult to time the market, but if you're a longtime homeowner in one of these cities, you could potentially see a great return on your investment."

The rankings are based on Zillow's housing market research of the 50 largest US cities. To be included on the list, data must be available on at least 60% of home sale transactions.

Here's the list of the cities where home owners have cashed out on record home values:

10. Boston

5 outrageous projects Russia's military says it's working on

Putin laughing

Since President Vladimir Putin was ushered into power in 2000, the Russian defense industry has certainly rekindled, but it also has steadily spewed out unsubstantiated and rather ludicrous plans about future weapons.

In 2015, for example, the Kremlin claimed it would build tanks armed with lasers, and in 2016, it was a space-based missile defense system.

There are probably a number of reasons why these half-truths, exaggerations and downright lies continue to be spread.

"National pride and the cult of patriotism that surrounds Putin and his cohorts," are some of the main ones, according to The National Interest. Part of it could also be a public relations ploy — an attempt to re-legitimize Russia's weapons industry to prospective purchasers.

Whatever the reasons, there have been at least five such doozies in the last few months.

Check them out below.

SEE ALSO: 13 photos of the 'Terminator,' the armored fighting vehicle Russia reportedly sent to Syria

1. That its new T-14 Armata tank will be able to run on Mars.

In late August, Sputnik, a Russian state-owned media outlet, said that the new T-14 tank would be "fit for Martian temperature."

Although it has yet to be mass produced, Russia is building a rather impressive T-14 tank, which is part of their new series of Armata tracked armored vehicles.

Sputnik based this claim off the tank's reported new super-condensers that allow it to start in temperatures as low as -58 degrees Fahrenheit.

The problem is that the average temperature on Mars is -80 degrees Fahrenheit, and the tank's internal combustion engine would also probably not be able to handle the Martian atmosphere.

2. That its future MiG-41 will be able to fly in space.

The CEO of MiG told reporters in late August that the successor to the MiG-31, the MiG-41, would be able to fly in space.

While there are designs for the new interceptor, Russia won't begin building the MiG-41 until the mid 2020s, and it won't be ready for deployment until at least 2035.

Most experts doubt Moscow will even have the money for the project.

While it's not out of the realm out of possibility for the future MiG-41 to fly in space, given the MiG-31's capabilities, its highly unlikely — if its even built in the first place.

3. That its building a 115,000 ton aircraft carrier.

In 2015, Russia announced that it plans to build a 100,000 ton aircraft carrier, called Project 23000E Storm, and construction is supposedly going to begin in 2019.

However, because of Russia's defense budget cuts, and a shipbuilding industry that is probably not qualified for the task, many have labeled such plans as a "pipe dream."

And just last week, the Russian deputy prime minister, Dmitry Rogozin, said that Moscow plans to build a "huge dry dock in the Far East" that will make it "possible to create an aircraft carrier having a displacement of 110,000-115,000 [tons].”

Such a ship would be even bigger than the USS Gerald R. Ford, the biggest carrier in the world.

Portugal is one of Europe's hottest surf destinations. Its mild climate, great waves, and endless beaches are home to a growing international surfing community.

And 22-year-old British-born Laura Crane, a professional surfer, model and emerging Instagram star, is living the dream in one of the country's most popular surfing spots, Ericeira — dubbed the mecca of Portuguese Surf.

Having competed at a national level for most of her teens, she's started using her 70,000-strong Instagram following as a base to work with multiple brands as a model and so-called influencer.

But she says surfing is still the main priority — and modelling allows her to "keep the surfing dream alive."

Crane told Business Insider that being a woman in the predominantly male surfing industry has come a long way, and that now female surfers are more free to be themselves, to be "girls" and wear bikinis, rather than try to fit in wearing board shorts.

She also fits right in with the healthy local diet and active lifestyle in Portugal — and her Instagram is testament to that.

iPhone X

The iPhone is arguably the most iconic piece of technology ever invented.

It was first unveiled in California by Apple cofounder and CEO Steve Jobs on June 29, 2007. Today there are hundreds of millions of people with an iPhone around the world but Apple is continuing to reinvent the device.

The Cupertino-headquartered company unveiled three new iPhone devices on Tuesday: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.

The abilities and features of the new devices far exceed those of the first iPhone. But if you look closely you may notice that the design isn't actually all that different.

Here's how the iPhone has evolved over the years:

iPhone

The first ever iPhone landed with bang. The multitouch keyboard changed the way people used their phones. You can read more about it in this press release from Apple

iPhone 3G

The iPhone was upgraded in 2008 to include support for 3G networks, allowing people to access the internet from their phone without the need for a Wi-Fi connection.

iPhone 3GS

In 2009, Apple launched the iPhone 3GS, which had a faster processor than the iPhone 3G. The "S" stands for "Speed".

Oktoberfest

LONDON — In a world of budget airlines and abundant flights all over the world, travelling is easier and cheaper than ever before.

But without a passport, you're not going to get very far, wherever in the world you're from.

Some passports are worth more than others however, with the international standing of certain countries making it significantly easier for their citizens to secure entry in exotic, far flung nations.

Business Insider looked at the Quality of Nationality Index, produced annually by Henley & Partners, to find the world's most powerful passports. The index looks at a huge number of variables to find out which countries are the best respected globally.

Within the ranking is a separate Travel Freedom Ranking, which ranks the ease of travel for citizens from almost 160 countries around the world, by looking at how many countries citizens can travel to without needing a specific visa. For example, a country where citizens can travel to 100 countries without a visa has a higher level on travel freedom than one where citizens can only visit 95 states visa-free.

Most of the nations are prosperous, developed nations in the Western hemisphere. Check out the top 22 below, which are ranked on an index score, with 1 as the worst, and 100 the best.

N.B. The Channel Islands and the Isle of Man feature close to the top of the Travel Freedom Ranking, but have been excluded from this list as they are widely considered part of the United Kingdom.

The rise and fall of New York City's 'Taxi King'

$
0
0

08taxiking1 articleInline

Evgeny "Gene" Freidman is commonly referred to as New York City's Taxi King — notably by the New York attorney general's office and the law firms that have filed suit against him.

At one point Freidman owned more than 800 taxi medallions, the metal plates on the hoods of yellow cabs that allow them to operate legally on the New York City streets. But in the past few years, Freidman has experienced a precipitous fall.

Here's a look at the rise and fall of New York City's Taxi King.

Journey to the US.

Freidman's father was a thermonuclear engineer in Russia, but in 1976 he immigrated to the US with his wife and son amid growing Soviet anti-Semitism, according to Crain's New York. Gene was 5 at the time.

In the US, Freidman's father worked in the taxi business and started a company that he would later pass on to his son.

From modest taxi business to Taxi King.

When Freidman took over his father's taxi business, the company owned 60 yellow cabs. Under several LLCs, Freidman increased that to more than 800.

Crain's New York reports that Freidman's profits increased from $2.5 million in 1996 to $120 million in 2012.

Freidman's companies often have interesting names, such as Hypnotic Taxi LLC, Milkyway Cab Corp., and Bourbon Taxi LLC.

Medallion prices skyrocket ... for a time.

In 2013, New York City taxi medallions auctioned off for a record $1.32 million. In 2015, Freidman told Bloomberg that he operated more than 1,100 medallions. That would put the worth of Freidman's taxi fleet in the neighborhood of $1.5 billion.

Unfortunately for Freidman, the rise of Uber and other ride-hailing services caused a seismic shift in the transportation industry. Today, medallions have plummeted in value to almost a tenth of their peak.

For many medallion owners who had borrowed against the value of their medallions, the falling value of their investments meant troubled times ahead.

Analysts are super bullish on Apple after the 'powerful, lovely' iPhone X (AAPL)

iPhone X

Apple finally launched its much-hyped iPhone X on Tuesday, a tenth anniversary version of the iPhone with facial recognition, augmented reality features, and a near bezel-free screen.

The £999 iPhone X was the highest-end of three new iPhones alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch Series 3, which has its own data connection for the first time, 4K on Apple TV, wireless charging, and a number of software updates.

Analysts stayed bullish on iPhone X after Tuesday's event, and stuck by predictions of a "super cycle." The supercycle theory suggests many iPhone users have phones that are more than two years old, and they will upgrade en masse for the new phone in a huge wave, akin to the experience with iPhone 6.

That's despite one major shocker: Apple said it won't be shipping that high-end iPhone X until November.

For analysts, this has had a knock-on effect on their predictions for Apple's financial results. Apple's fiscal year 2018 starts in October, meaning the company won't be feeling any positive effects from the iPhone X for its current financial year.

Ultimately though, it doesn't really matter, because there'll be so much demand for the new iPhones when they arrive.

As analysts at Macquarie wrote: "[We] are not too concerned about a one- or two-quarter delay in supply as long as demand remains robust (which we expect). We still expect this to be a 'super-cycle,' meaning bigger than the previous biggest cycle (iPhone 6), and think that the new features and innovations will drive strong demand while allowing Apple to remain the preeminent smartphone brand on the planet."

Here's what Wall Street had to say:

Bank of America Merrill Lynch: BULLISH

Rating:Buy

Price target: $180

Comment: "Apple introduced facial recognition technology for iPhone X (Face ID), and while the focus is more on security/access, a Snapchat demo revealed improved facial masking AR capabilities. While Facebook was not highlighted, masking features on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger could see similar quality improvements. One incremental risk we highlight is the introduction of 'animojis' which could potentially draw usage from Snapchat & Instagram, and suggests that Apple could be a bigger competitor in the messaging arena."

BMO Capital Markets: BULLISH

Rating: Outperform

Price target: $180

Comment: "[We] see a very strong setup into the quarter, with nearly one-third of the
new iPhone installed base being two years or older. Combined with a total installed base of 745 million exiting the June quarter, including 261 million used iPhones, we believe plenty of consumers will be motivated to upgrade to the new models, even with the higher pricing."

Deutsche Bank: NEUTRAL

Rating: Hold

Price target: $140

Comment: "Given the size of Apple's supply chain, it remains challenging for the company to deliver new product surprises and today's launch was no exception."

There are very good reasons why our collective consciousness has turned to being more energy-savvy.

Energy costs are an expensive necessity that only seem to be getting pricier, and most of the population has come around to the fact that decades of burning fossil fuels has negatively impacted the environment, making weather more volatile and endangering our future as humans living on this planet.

Whether it’s the here and now of a high energy bill or the daunting concerns of tomorrow, millions of people are turning their attention to decreasing their own footprint.

One of the best ways to do this is by swapping some of the energy-suckers in your house for more efficient options. You don’t have to throw yourself into the Dark Ages and rely on candles or the light coming off a burning woodpile to survive (save that for later); you can enjoy all the regular things you love but at a fraction of the energy footprint, and it’s cheaper than you’d think.

If you want to take a look at the energy used by each appliance in your house, there’s a free calculator online here.

Something as ubiquitous as lighting makes up about 10% of home energy costs, so if you replace all those standard incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescents, you can save up to 75% of that energy — keeping more money in your pocket without forgoing anything you need or skipping a beat.

Some of the efficiency fixes are simple: turn off the lights if you’re not in the room, insulate your windows, wash the dishes by hand if you can, don’t do a load of laundry for a pair of socks, and unplug your devices when you’re not using them (they're likely still using a substantial amount of energy). Some fixes like smart thermostats are more expensive upfront but make up for that by how much they save both you and the planet in the long run.

Below are 13 things that might help you cut down on your energy footprint, making your bill and environmental impact smaller without losing any convenience.

Lunara is UL approved and rated to last 40,000 hours. So, according to Lunara, if you use the night light for 10 hours a day, it'll last more than 10 years.

LEDs are around 10x more energy-efficient than typical incandescent lights, so the company estimates the cost of the Lunara at $0.25 to operate.

Bright, energy-efficient light bulbs

These Philips' light bulbs are bright and energy-saving alternatives to traditional 100W incandescent bulbs that use more energy. The company estimates you'll save $336 in energy costs. The bulb should last a little over nine years (based on three hours per day on).

Allbirds has landed in New York City.

The Silicon Valley-based startup is opening a concept store in the city's Soho neighborhood. The store will be a place to buy and test the company's signature shoes, which it has called "the world's most comfortable."

There will be ample seating room in the new store to try on shoes, and a human-size hamster wheel will even let customers test how they feel under pressure, according to a press release announcing the opening.

The 1,450-square-foot store will sell an exclusive color of the brand's Wool Runner shoe that's "inspired by the skyline of everyone’s favorite sleepless city." The shoe is a midnight blue color called Starry Night.

Allbirds will also be selling shoe laces inspired by the colors of the NYC subway.

The company recently closed a $17.5 million round of venture funding led by investment firm Tiger Global. Allbirds said it would primarily use the money for building new stores like this one, creating new materials for shoes, and taking the company global. The sneakers caught on as the shoe du jour in Silicon Valley in 2016, and fans have praised their comfort and accessible price.

See below for more pictures of the new store, which is scheduled to open on September 14 at 68 Prince Street in New York City.

Allbirds is also selling a unique version of its Wool Runner that will be exclusive to the new store: a midnight blue number called Starry Night.

14 words even the smartest people get wrong

How good is your vocabulary?

It might be pretty good, and yet there are almost certainly some words, perhaps many words, that you're using incorrectly because most people do.

To pick out some of the best, I got help from perhaps my favorite word expert in the world, Anu Garg, whose site Wordsmith.org is beloved by logophiles (i.e. word lovers) everywhere, including me.

I'd stake my vocabulary against most people's and yet Garg's entertaining A Word a Day emails have taught me many words I didn't know.

I invited Garg to send me his top picks for words most people get wrong, and he sent me a list, along with a caveat: Sometimes if enough people use a word incorrectly, it makes it into dictionaries and its new, formerly incorrect definition becomes acceptable.

"Language grows organically, it doesn't work by diktat," Garg explains. So any of the wrong meanings for these words could someday become correct if dictionaries decide to render them legitimate.

But for now, you'll be better off — and look smarter — if you make sure to use these with their correct meanings:

1. Bemuse

Many people use this to mean amused, or maybe amused-at-someone-else's-foolishness. But it means neither of those things. "To bemuse is to bewilder or confuse," Garg says. "It has nothing to do with amuse."

2. Disinterested

You might think this means you aren't interested in something, but that's not right. "Disinterested does not equal uninterested but impartial," Garg explains. Think of it this way: If you're having a debate with a friend or co-worker, you may ask a disinterested third party to weigh in. That person may be deeply interested in the subject, but you're counting on his or her objectivity.

3. Electrocute

Have you ever accidentally stuck your finger in a live socket and thought that you "electrocuted" yourself? I have, but we were both wrong. "Electrocute equals electricity plus execute," Garg explains. "People use it (incorrectly) in instances where someone is injured by electricity."
