POWER RANKING: The top 25 players who will decide the winner of Super Bowl LII

$

0

Tom Brady

The Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles is shaping up to be one to remember.

On one side, you have the greatest quarterback ever to take a snap and the greatest head coach to ever wear a headset leading the greatest modern dynasty in football onto the field. Against them, you have an upstart team that's overcome injuries and underdog status time and time again to put themselves in position to win the first Super Bowl in franchise history.

Either way you look at it, it's quite a story.

Come Monday, there will be heroes and tragic figures , and while we don't yet know who will show up to play on Sunday and who might have an off night at the worst possible time, we have an idea of which players' performances will be of the most consequence when it comes to deciding who wins the Big Game.

Whether it's an MVP performance through the entire game or one game-changing play just before the clock expires, these are the players who will decide who wins Super Bowl LII.

25. Malcolm Butler

As the man behind one of the most consequential plays in NFL history, it would be irresponsible to leave Malcolm Butler off of any list of potential Super Bowl impact players. Butler isn't due to have the toughest assignment of the Patriots secondary — he will likely be lined up opposing Torrey Smith for the majority of the night — but if the game comes down to a goal line stop for the Patriots, you know who they'll trust to step up.

24. Nelson Agholor

Eagles fans were once worried that Nelson Agholor would end up a draft bust, but this season he's proven to be a valuable pass catcher out of the slot. He's come down with more than a few crucial third down catches this year, and will likely be called upon to do so again on Sunday.

23. Gene Steratore

Gene Steratore is fairly well-respected as far as NFL referees go, but he also had the most notorious officiating decision of the NFL season — you might remember him as the man behind the index card measurement. Steratore also led one of the most active regular season officiating crews in terms of flags thrown. Refs usually like to let the players play a bit more in the postseason, but don't be surprised if he makes a few big decisions on Sunday.

Cash App BTC explainer pg 1

Bitcoin, the digital currency that's been monopolizing conversations, has grown rapidly in value in the last year. Unfortunately, it's not always an easy concept to understand, much less to get involved in.

Now, Cash App, Square's payment app that lets friends settle debts, is inserting itself into the cryptocurrency craze by giving many of its users the option to trade and hold bitcoin instantly. CEO Jack Dorsey says the feature is "the first step" to making bitcoin more widely accessible, so the team also built a beginner's manual for bitcoin to further the effort.

The scrollable explainer features abstract illustrations like a children's book and provides a high-level synopsis on what bitcoin is, where it came from, and how it works, all in easy-to-understand language.

The last page includes a bitcoin FAQ, along with a page that lists some risks to owning bitcoin. So far, the explainer has gotten somegreatreactions on Twitter.

Fascinating maps show where the most and least diverse parts of the US are

us diversity

The United States is sometimes billed as a melting pot of racial and ethnic diversity.

But a new map created by astrophysicist Tomasz Stepinski shows how much racial segregation persists in many American towns, cities, and suburbs.

Using census data and NASA satellite maps, Stepinski created a detailed map that shows racial composition levels in nearly every neighborhood in the US.

Six categories of race — non-Hispanic white, non-Hispanic black, American Indian, Asian, Hispanic, and other — are represented by six different colors on the map (as indicated on the key to the right).

diversity map keyIf an area has a high density of a particular race and low overall diversity, it is shaded a dark tone of that color (from the left column in the key to the right).

If an area has a high density of a certain race but medium overall diversity, it's shaded in a less dark color (from the right column in the key). For example, neighborhoods with a high density of white residents and low overall diversity are shaded orange. Places with a high density of Hispanic residents are dark purple. The lighter the shade, the less densely populated that group is.

Areas with high racial diversity levels overall are shaded gray.

The interactive map chronicles data from 1990 to 2010, so users can zoom in and see how areas have changed over time. Stepinski presented his work last year at the annual Population Association of America conference in Chicago.

Here is the state of diversity in seven US cities as of 2010, according to Stepinski's map.

SEE ALSO: 26 photos that show the US-Mexico border's evolution over 100 years

Chicago — one of America's most racially segregated cities — is highly siloed by neighborhood. There are distinct pockets of Hispanic and black residents living downtown, while first-ring suburbs have mostly white residents.

As CityLab notes, decades of racial discriminatory housing policies (some of which still persist today) contributed to segregation in Chicago. For example, following WWII, the Federal Housing Administration explicitly denied home loans for black people in Chicago and other cities across the US.

New York City's neighborhoods are also pretty segregated by race. Manhattan has a fairly high density of white residents, while the most dense populations of black, Hispanic, and Asian New Yorkers are found in upper Manhattan, the Bronx, and parts of Brooklyn and Queens. Jersey City (located west of Manhattan) does not appear to be as segregated.

Gaithersburg, Maryland and other areas north of Washington, DC are fairly racially diverse, as indicated by the dark grey shading.

Your 3 most admirable traits, according to your zodiac sign

Woman Smiling with Eyes Closed

  • Every zodiac sign has positive and negative traits associated with it.
  • Your sign could make you more hardworking, caring, or honest.
  • Here are your most admirable traits based on your sign.

We all know the zodiac holds a lot of information about our personalities, including some of our positive and negative traits.

Sometimes we get too focused on people's negative traits, so it's good to take a step back and remind ourselves of the positives from time to time.

Here are your three most admirable traits, according to your zodiac.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): You're honest, fair, and have a humanitarian streak.

Your friends can always count on your brutal honesty, which often means telling them things they don't want to hear. But they know it comes from a good place, because they know you care about people— not just the ones in your life, but in general. You're always ready to help out people in need.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20): You're compassionate, trusting, and intuitive.

Your compassion and overly-trusting nature leaves you open for being taken advantage of and getting your heart broken.

Luckily, you're also a great judge of character and tend to place your trust with the right people (most of the time, anyway). You always try to find the good in people, and the truth is, you usually do.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): You're optimistic, determined, and honest.

Your spontaneity can sometimes read as recklessness, but it's really just because you always believe things will work out. You're optimistic, sometimes to a fault, but it keeps your life exciting.

Your intense drive serves you well in your career, which you probably know, as you're already planning your move up the ladder.

10 things you never need to refrigerate

food in refrigerator

Have you ever opened your refrigerator and realized that you couldn't find what you were looking for because it was overflowing with miscellaneous items? If so, you're in good company. The majority of households pack items into the fridge that simply don't need to be there. Here's a list of 10 items you don't need to refrigerate, but are probably taking up room in your fridge right now.

Butter

Consider this: we build homes to keep us warm from the cold. Then, we add refrigerators—large boxes to keep our food cold in our warm homes. And inside our refrigerators are even smaller boxes to keep our butter slightly warmer than the cold box inside our warm home!

Many people assume that butter has to be refrigerated because it's dairy-based. While it's true that butter can go rancid if stored too close to a heat source (such as a too-hot oven) or in direct sunlight, if you store your butter in an opaque butter dish and place it somewhere cool, your butter might outlast the rest of us. In fact, a recent excavation in Ireland uncovered a cache of butter estimated to be almost 3,000 years old!

Butter is also a great compromise item. If you're not 100% sold on leaving it out, just place one stick in the butter dish, and leave the rest in the fridge. That way you can see how fast you use it, and what the best storage solution is for you.

Basil

A delicious herb that enhances almost any dish, basil is often placed in the fridge by well-meaning home cooks. Unfortunately, one of the best aspects of basil — its tendency to blend the smells and tastes of the items around it — also means that storing it in the fridge can cause it to pick up the properties of its shelf-mates.

Instead, keep fresh basil in a little bit of water as if it were a bouquet of freshly cut flowers. It will taste better, look great and may even help keep flies at bay.

Onions

Onions have the opposite problem from basil. Instead of absorbing the odors of other items on the shelf, they tend to lend their aroma to their surroundings, especially when kept in an enclosed area like a refrigerator. Whether you want to keep onions on hand for mixing into a stew or for an easy-to-assemble BBQ kebab, the best place to store them is in a dry area with good ventilation.

What streets look like in 30 cities around the world

Jaisalmer. Rajasthan. India

"There's no place like home," Dorothy said in "The Wizard of Oz," and the phrase became an instant classic.

While nothing quite beats the feeling of coming home after a long day, every so often we find ourselves being overtaken by wanderlust. We'll catch a glimpse of an intriguing street while watching a foreign film, or fall in love with a particularly descriptive passage in a book, and before we know it we're researching late into the night, gazing at photos of far-off places and imagining what life is like in distant cities.

Luckily, these days you can check out what other parts of the world look like from the comfort of your home. We've compiled a list of 30 of the most stunning streets all around the world.

Keep scrolling to see how different streets can look in cities across the globe.

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech is a vibrant city awash in color. Take a stroll through the Medina, a walled medieval center full of tourist-friendly souvenirs, flavorful food, and friendly locals.

Havana, Cuba

The streets of Havana are rife with contradictory elements that meld together into truly harmonious landscapes. Pastels intertwine with vibrant, primary colors while vintage cars zip down faded glamorous streets toward sun-splashed shores that once hosted Spanish conquistadors and the literati.

New Taipei City, Taiwan

Jiufen, a small mountain village nestled in the Ruifang District of New Taipai City, Taiwan, is known for its cobblestone roads, stunning ocean views, and distinctive red lanterns lining its streets. Shuqi Road, in particular, is said to have served as the inspiration behind Studio Ghibli’s 2001 Japanese animation film "Spirited Away."

11 things you’re doing that are setting you up for a terrible night’s sleep

eyestrain stressed tired computer working

Tired at the office today? You aren't alone.

More than a third of Americans get less sleep than the seven to nine hours recommended for most people.

Some of the reasons for that are beyond our control — an unexpected visit from a friend or a young child can easily get in the way of a good night's sleep, regardless of your intentions.

But we also do things that can sabotage our sleep. And we can fix some of those behaviors.

Here's how you might be setting yourself up for a terrible night's sleep — and what to do about it.

SEE ALSO: How to figure out how much sleep you really need

Looking at the computer or tv right before bed.

Watching something on Netflix might seem like the perfect way to end a long day, but research has shown that blue light emitted by electronic screens (like phones, computers, and televisions) can impede the production of melatonin, a hormone the body uses to regulate our internal clocks.

Melatonin helps us relax and get ready for bed, so switch to a book 30 to 60 minutes before you go to bed — or at least turn off your electronic devices.

Having a nightcap.

That nighttime drink might make it a bit easier to fall asleep, but research shows that drinking alcohol right before bed can disrupt sleep later on in the night, making it less restful overall.

The solution, according to some sleep experts, is to keep your drinking to happy hour.

Checking your phone before bed (even when blue light is filtered out).

Headlines about the dangers of blue light have led to a wave of glasses, apps, and screen protectors that help filter out that part of the light spectrum.

But these may not help as much as the companies selling them would have you believe. And blue light is not the only sleep-destroying aspect of your phone. Just checking our phones (and the world they connect us to) before bed is enough to mess with our sleep, experts say. If you can keep those devices away from your bed, that might help.

The best doorbells you can buy whether you want a smart doorbell or a wireless one

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

doorbell 4x3

The Insider Pick:

  • Nowadays, you can get smart doorbells with video cameras for added security or nifty wireless doorbells that you don't have to hard wire. Of all the doorbells you can buy, the Ring Video Doorbell 2 is our top pick because it doesn't have to be hard wired and it has an excellent 1080p camera.

The humble doorbell has come a long way in the past few years. Gone are the days when all a doorbell would do is alert you to the fact that someone’s at the door. These days, doorbells can connect to your Wi-Fi network to offer enhanced home security with built-in cameras and microphones. You can even interact with people at the door when you’re not home. There are also many innovative wireless doorbells that don't need to be hard wired to work, making them very convenient and easy to install for renters.

Of course, there are a few things to consider when buying a doorbell. For starters, if you’re buying one to have better home security, you’ll want to get one with smart features, a secure app, and a high-resolution video camera. Many smart doorbells require a subscription to unlock more cloud storage for footage and other security features.

You’ll also want to think about your home or apartment setup. Some smart doorbells have to be hard-wired into your home to work properly, while others can be battery-powered. Hard-wired doorbells can connect to your home’s built-in chime, while battery-powered ones might need another plugin device in order to chime when you’re home.

Not all smart and wireless doorbells are created equal, but that’s why we’ve put together this guide. We’ve done the research so you can easily select the best doorbell for your home.

Read on in the slides below to learn why we recommend the Ring Video Doorbell 2, the SadoTech CXR Wireless Doorbell, the August Doorbell Cam, the SkyBell HD, the Ring Video Doorbell Pro, and the Zmodo Greet.

SEE ALSO: The 12 best smart home devices you need to live like the Jetsons

The best wireless smart doorbell

Why you'll love it: The Ring Video Doorbell 2 has great motion detection, a 1080p camera with two-way audio, and it's wireless, so you won’t have to hard-wire it into your home.

Ring has been building smart doorbells for a while now, and the Ring Video Doorbell 2 is still its best smart doorbell, mainly because it doesn’t have to be hard-wired into your home in order to work properly.

It can be hard-wired, to be sure, but it also has a battery pack and works with the Ring Chime so you can use it wirelessly. That's a godsend for people who rent or are unable to hard wire a doorbell on their property.

Apart from the great wireless option, the Ring Video Doorbell 2 boasts a 1,080p camera with two-way audio, so you can talk to people at your door even if you're not home. The camera also has motion tracking, and you can set motion zones so that it doesn’t send notifications every time someone walks past your house.

There are a few downsides to the Ring doorbell, of course. Like many of the other smart doorbells in our guide, there’s no free video storage, so you have to pay to access it. Plus, the unit is a little bulky.

Still, in general, most reviewers argue that it’s among the best smart doorbells out there. TechRadar and TechHive both gave the doorbell 4/5.

Pros: Wireless, nice design, good app

Cons: A little expensive, a bit bulky

Buy the Ring Video Doorbell 2 on Amazon for $169 (originally $194)

Buy the Ring Video Doorbell 2 from Walmart for $169 (originally $194)

The best wireless doorbell for under $30

Why you'll love it: The SadoTech CXR Doorbell is wireless, easy to set up, and it costs $20 to $30.

If you don't want all the smart features or the video feed of who's ringing your doorbell, you can get a super affordable wireless doorbell that's as simple as can be for about $20.

The SadoTech CXR Wireless Doorbell has two plugin chimes and one button, making it ideal for smaller homes or apartments. You can place the extra chime anywhere you want in your home so that you can hear your doorbell ring from afar. Both chimes have 52 tones and four volume levels, so you should be able to hear it.

The remote transmitter button is weatherproof with an IP33 rating, so you can safely use it outdoors. Set up is really easy and you don't even need batteries. You just plug the receiver into an electrical outlet.

Compared with all the complicated hard wiring and constant battery replacement you have to perform with other doorbells, setting up the Sado is a breeze. It comes with strong adhesives so you can mount it that way, or you can screw it into your wall or door frame.

The doorbell is CE, FCC, and RoHS certified, so you know it's safe to use. Of the nearly 8,000 reviews left by reviewers on Amazon, around 80% of them are for five stars and 12% are four stars. In other words, people really love this doorbell. Experts at BestReviews also recommend it as the best budget pick. — Malarie Gokey

Pros: Affordable, easy to set up, no battery, no wiring, 50 chimes

Cons: Might not be loud enough, not for large homes

Buy the SadoTech Model CXR Wireless Doorbell on Amazon for $21.99 and up

Buy the SadoTech Model CXR Wireless Doorbell from Walmart for $19.97

The best smart wired doorbell

Why you'll love it: The August Doorbell Cam is well designed and it has a nice app, but the best thing about it is that it boasts a great camera resolution and two-way audio.

August may be best known for its highly-popular smart lock, but locks aren’t the only products the company makes. It also builds smart doorbells like the August Doorbell Cam.

There are plenty of reasons the August Doorbell Cam is a great choice for anyone who wants a smart video doorbell. For starters, the device features a nice camera with a resolution of 1,280 x 960 pixels. It also has a microphone and small speaker built in, allowing for two-way audio. That means you can have a conversation with whoever is at the door without having to actually go to the door.

One of the cool things about the August Doorbell Cam is Hindsight, a smart feature that captures around 10 seconds of video before the motion alarm is triggered. In other words, the camera is always recording, and once motion is detected, it’ll show you 10 seconds before the detection, which means the video will likely be much more accurate.

The August Doorbell Cam is also compatible with a range of other smart home systems. It works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, Nest, IFTTT, Wink, and even Xfinity.

There are a few downsides to the system. For starters, you can’t set motion zones like you can on some other smart security cameras. It’s also a bit expensive, especially when you get into cloud storage. You’ll pay $4.99 per month or $49.99 for a full year to get the video stored in the cloud for 30 days.

Still, most reviewers love the August Doorbell Cam. Tom’s Guide gave the device a score of 8/10, while PCMag gave it an equivalent score of 4/5.

Pros: High camera resolution, decent design, two-way audio

Cons: Expensive

Buy the August Doorbell Cam on Amazon for $199.99

Buy the August Doorbell Cam from Walmart for $199.99

I finally got fed up with having too many cables in my home — here’s how I got rid of all the clutter

$

The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.

12SThere's one thing gadget lovers and casual tech users have in common: cables. A lot of cables. Too many cables.

Like everyone else, I've always used whichever one came in the box and kept every one I got, but I recently realized that strategy wasn't working for me.

My desk, table, and floor were full of cables that were too long, or around "just in case," so I decided to do something about all of them.

It took time and some money, but having completed the project outlined below, I can tell you it makes life a lot easier. My drawers have space, I can see my desk again, and I no longer have wires just hanging out with no real purpose.

SEE ALSO:

Buy cables that are the right length for your needs.

There's no such thing as "one size fits all," but tech companies decided that 3 feet is the appropriate cable length for many gadgets.

For charging cables, that's too long to plug into your computer at work without having extra, and short enough to make you feel tethered to the wall when it's charging at home.

Game consoles and other TV-related gadgets usually come with a 6 foot HDMI cable, which is usually long enough to turn the back of your TV and entertainment center into a wired jungle. Ditto for the coaxial cable that comes with your cable box if you haven't cut the cord.

If you're like me and prefer to have a wired internet connection for certain devices for maximum speed and reliability, the ethernet cable that comes with your router is never the right size either.

It might seem stupid to replace cables that work fine, but trust me, it's worth it.

I'm generally going to recommend Anker's when I can, because they're durable and come with an 18-month warranty, so you won't need to replace them. All you have to do is take some measurements, decide if you want to rearrange any furniture, and buy cables that are the appropriate length.

This process took me a couple of hours, but was ultimately the hardest part of this entire project. I'll get into what to do with the cables you already have (and end up finding) later.

Anker PowerLine+ II Lightning Cable: (1ft)(3ft)(6ft)(10ft)

Anker PowerLine+ MicroUSB Cable: (1ft)(3ft)(6ft)(10ft)

Anker PowerLine USB-C Cable: (3ft)(6ft)(10ft)

AmazonBasics HDMI Cable: (1ft)(3ft)(6ft)(10ft)(15ft)

Monoprice Ethernet Cable: (1ft)(3ft)(10ft)(20ft)(30ft)

AmazonBasics Coaxial Cable: (4ft)(8ft)(15ft)(25ft)(50ft)

Embrace wireless charging.

Yes. This has been a standard feature on many Android phones for years, but all three models of iPhone released last year finally support wireless charging. Thankfully, Apple chose to embrace the Qi standard, which has been around for a while, so there are several great chargers already available to buy.

I was able to try Mophie's charging pad a few months ago and haven't looked back; it's reliable, durable, and doesn't take up too much space. Even better, it has eliminated a charging cable from my life.

Mophie Wireless Charge Pad, $57.99, available at Amazon

Organize your extra cables.

There's a good chance you have extra cables laying around, even if you don't buy an all new ones like I did. Cables have a nasty habit of accumulating in drawers, so do a thorough sweep of your place, and collect every one you find in a Ziploc bag. I did it over the course of a weekend, and found dozens of extras laying around.

Once you've got your cables, think about which ones you'll actually need in the future, and keep two of each — three if you want to keep some in different sizes. I saved one of the sets in a sandwich bag, binding each cable with a rubber band.

Now, instead of rummaging around each time I need a cable, or a friend asks me for one, I know exactly where to look.

The USS Gerald R. Ford is the US Navy's newest and largest aircraft carrier — in fact, it's the world's largest.

Commissioned in July 2017, it is the first of the Ford-class carriers, which are more technologically advanced than Nimitz-class carriers.

It has an improved hull design and weapons stowage, a new weapons elevator, more space on the flight deck, a new electromagnetic-powered aircraft-launch system, three times the electrical-generation capacity of any previous carrier, and a lot more.

We recently got a chance to tour the behemoth as it was docked in Virginia's Naval Station Norfolk. Climb aboard for a closer look:

We drove a $90,000 Lincoln Navigator for a week and saw why Ford can't build the SUV fast enough (F)

Lincoln Navigator

  • The original luxury SUV is all-new for 2018.
  • It embodies Lincoln's "quiet luxury" philosophy at a massive scale.
  • It's so popular that in January, Lincoln dealers struggled to keep up with demand.
  • We tested it for a week, and it was more than up to every challenge we threw at it.

There's a mighty new Lincoln Navigator in town, and we really put it through its paces in the New York and New Jersey area as winter bore down on the region.

The Navigator, around since the 1990s, is the original luxury SUV. If the recently arrived new Continental is the flagship sedan of Ford's revived premium marque, then the Navigator is the dreadnought of the fleet. This is the fourth generation of the big guy. It's off to a great start. Lincoln reported January sales on February 1, and Navigator was up 132% from January of 2017.

We saw the vehicle for the first time as a flamboyant, nautical-themed concept vehicle at the New York Auto Show in 2016; Lincoln officially debuted the new Navigator at the 2017 show. It was only a matter of time before we got our hands on this behemoth for some test time behind the wheel. That happened in December.

Here's how it went:

The new Navigator was teased in 2016, if you can call this bonkers gullwing-door beast a tease.

In 2017, Lincoln head Kumar Galhotra revealed the production vehicle in New York.

And by the end of the year, we got our hands on the SUV. Our well-optioned 2018 4x4 Reserve trim level tipped the price scales at $90,000.

When Mitt Romney,, lost the presidential election in 2012, pundits declared his time in politics over. But now the 70-year-old Republican seems to be mulling a comeback.

After Sen. Orin Hatch of Utah announced in January that he would retire at the end of his term this year, rumors started swirling that Romney would run for his seat.

While he hasn't officially thrown his hat into the ring, Romney recently changed his location on Twitter in an apparent attempt to make it known that he resides in Utah, where residency is required to run for office. The former governor of Massachusetts said he'll make an announcement"about the Utah senate race" on February 15.

As Republican support for a potential Romney senate campaign grows, let's take a look back at the former presidential contender's life and career:

celeb patriots fans chris evans elizabeth banks

New England Patriots fans are known for their passionate, emphatic team spirit — and celebrities are not immune to this fervor. From well-known Bostonians like Chris Evans and Matt Damon to more low-key fans like Elizabeth Banks, the Patriots' influence stretches far and wide.

In light of the team gunning for its sixth Super Bowl ring on Sunday, INSIDER rounded up the most notable celebrities who will be cheering for Tom Brady and Co. from the sidelines.

1. Lea Michelle

Despite being a native New Yorker, Michele has been known to don a Brady jersey

"I'm a New Yorker, but I've always been a Patriots fan,"Michele told People. "Tom Brady's an incredible athlete. He will go down probably in my generation as one of the greatest athletes that I'll get to see."

The "Glee" actress even called last year's Super Bowl the "best day ever" on Twitter.

2. Justin Timberlake

Timberlake was quick to congratulate Brady on his comeback last year.

For Brady, this may have been a particularly welcome message, considering he recently named the "Filthy" singer one of his man crushes.

3. Gisele Bündchen

The super model is the ultimate Patriots super-fan — and wife to the team's superstar quarterback.

Bündchen and Brady are the definition of a power couple. Not only are they legends in their respective careers — with a combined net worth of $540 million— they are in love. And the supermodel loves to show her husband affection by rooting for his team

But don't count Bündchen out as only a fan by association. Just watch her reaction to the Patriots' surprise victory in last year's Super Bowl, and you'll see that she's as hardcore as they come.

Every year, the Financial Times releases a list of the top business schools in the world for studying an MBA

The FT's Global MBA ranking for 2018 looked at data from business schools, including average salaries, the average increase in salary graduates experience three years after finishing their degree, and the percentage of grads in work three months after finishing school.

It then collated that data to create a list of the 100 best business schools in the world for doing an MBA.

The vast majority of the top 100 schools — 83, in fact — are in Europe, the USA or Canada. But a handful are in Asia and Australasia.

We've included the average "weighted salary" of graduates, which determines an average salary for MBA holders three years after finishing. Salaries do not necessarily relate to the quality of the school, although the top school, Stanford, in California, does happen to also have the highest average salary.

Check out the top schools outside of the Western world, below:

17 (78). Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, India — $ 139,244

16 (66). Melbourne Business School, Australia — $108,084

15 (63). AGSM at University of New South Wales Business School, Australia — $115,909

Theresa May is currently on her first state visit to China, where she hopes to strengthen the UK and China's "golden era" of trade relations.

So far she's met students in Wuhan, a university town in central China, had tea with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and taken part in a traditional Chinese New Year celebration in Beijing.

But this is nothing compared to Donald Trump's visit to China — dubbed a "state visit-plus"— where he was treated to the most spectacular display of diplomacy in the country's history.

See for yourself in the photos below.

Forget Florida, here are the 24 best places to retire around the world

Tallow Beach, New South Wales, Australia

  • Healthcare, affordability, happiness, and climate are all important to consider when choosing a country to live in.
  • Retirees traditionally prefer places with good climate, but may trade in warm weather for a strong healthcare system.
  • New Zealand and Australia top the list of best countries to retire in.

Florida may be the best place to retire in America, but the sunshine state — and the US as a whole — isn't that impressive from a global perspective.

As part of its series on best countries, U.S. News created a list of the best countries for a comfortable retirement and the US ranks at No. 24.

Unlike working years, retirement is often filled with trips to the doctor's office and leisure time. In the twilight of life, low-cost happiness is also an important benchmark. Not to mention good weather.

Several trends emerged from the list. Affordability seems to be a trade-off with healthcare; generally, where healthcare is better, affordability dropped. Notable exceptions are the United States, Greece, and Italy, which have below average affordability and healthcare. No country on the list received above average rankings in both categories.

And while tropical locations scored highly on the happiness mark, less-than-desirable weather isn't always a negative contributor. For instance, a few Nordic countries have a strong presence on this ranking in spite of poor marks for weather.

Below, check out the 24 countries around the world that are best for retirees. Each of the four measures is ranked on a 10-point scale — the higher the score, the better.
